Cenote Ikil de Chichén Itzá
Many tours stop at the Cenote Ikil de Chichén Itzá before arriving at Chichen Itza. It is spectacular, breathtaking and just another place in the Yucatan where I would like to spend more time. The next time we will swim in there and have our underwater camera with us to see what lies beneath the surface.

El Eden Cenote
This beautiful Cenote also know as Ponderosa is located 25km south of Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. It offers an amazing swimming/snorkel area in the middle of the dense Mexican jungle. It is a divers dream world with sensational rays of light beaming down through the water before mid day. Most of the dive is accompanied by views of the jungle above the cenote. The halocline is located around 10m and makes for an optical illusion when the fresh and salt waters mix. El Eden also offers cave diving interconnecting with some of the nearby Cenotes. All and all another one of the amazing cavern dives in the Mayan Riviera.

Women Rappel 45' Into A Cenote Jungle Cave in Mexico - An Eco-Hula Empowerment Eco-Adventure - 8
Women explore the Mexican jungle by rappelling into a 45' deep jungle cave over a cenote which is over 30'. They do the cenote rappel after a shaman blesses the women before their journey. Host Shawna Coronado takes the viewer on an amazing adventure with her team to see what it is like to touch the Mayan community, Pac Chen, and the jungle surrounding it. The Eco-Hula video series, hosted by Shawna Coronado, is all about real people exploring our environment. This particular episode features women empowering themselves to conquer their fears while getting close to nature. Video produced by "78 Pesos", a production team which is a partnership between Shawna Coronado (www.shawnacoronado.com) and Mario Salazar (www.mariosalazarphotography.com). Special thanks to our sponsors: The Riviera Maya tourism organization - www.rivieramaya.com Grand Palladium White Sands hosted our stay during this adventure week - http Pacchen Mayan Tour with Alltournative Tours - www.alltournative.com

Tulum Mexico Cenote Angelita
Diving at 100'+ in the Cenote Angelita in Tulum, it's a big sinkhole out in the jungle with a layer of gas trapped at around 90' which is caused by the decomposing leaves and trees that fall in, I believe it's sulfur dioxide, and is somewhat poisonous if exposed to it for too long. It was a great dive.

Wild Mexico - Yucatan Cenote Life - Jump in!
Yucatan Canote Life. The Yucatan Peninsula is mostly a large limestone shelf and fresh water cenotes (wells) are where the Mayans who inhabited the area for thousands of years got their drinking water from. The cenotes were also an important part of religion and ceremonial cenotes were used in human sacrifices, like the Sacred Cenote by Chichen Itza. Cenotes are interconnected by underground rivers and a variety of fish and freshwater shrimp are found in them. Music: 'Interstella Rain' rgangsta www.looperman.com

Cenote Dos Ojos - Buceo Donosti 2010
