Innsbruck (German: [ˈʔɪnsbʁʊk], local pronunciation: [ˈʔɪnʃprʊk]) is the capital city of the federal state of Tyrol (Tirol) in western Austria. It is located in the Inn Valley at the junction with the Wipptal (Sill River), which provides access to the Brenner Pass, some 30 km (18.6 mi) to the south.
Innsbruck lies about half way between Munich (Germany) and Verona (Italy). Located in the broad valley between high mountains, the so-called North Chain in the Karwendel Alps (Hafelekarspitze, 2,334 metres or 7,657 feet) to the north, and the Patscherkofel (2,246 m or 7,369 ft) and Serles (2,718 m or 8,917 ft) to the south.
Innsbruck is an internationally renowned winter sports centre, and hosted the 1964 and 1976 Winter Olympics as well as the 1984 and 1988 Winter Paralympics. Innsbruck also hosted the first Winter Youth Olympics in 2012. The word bruck comes from the same root as the modern German word "Brücke" meaning "bridge" which leads to "the bridge over the Inn".
Earliest traces suggest initial inhabitation in the early Stone Age. Surviving pre-Roman place names show that the area has been populated continuously. In the 4th century the Romans established the army station Veldidena (the name survives in today's urban district Wilten) at Oenipons (Innsbruck), to protect the economically important commercial road from Verona-Brenner-Augsburg.

Probably one of the most important videos that I have made yet! This video ties together the Mayan culture, the Hindu culture, and the Egyptian culture creation myths. It expands into discoveries I have made in the cathedrals and scientific discoveries made by NASA. There are links below for your reference and convenience. Innsbruck, Austria is the capital of the Tyrol Region of Austria which borders Germany and Switzerland. It has long been a destination for winter sports such as skiing and snowboarding. Innsbruck is also home to Swarovski's Kristallwelten, a theme park dedicated to Swarovski Crystals. Head up to Nordkette and ride to the top of Innsbuck and enjoy a view in the clouds of the Austrian Alps! At night, head down to the city and enjoy the Goldenes Dachl, the "Golden Roof" and Innsbrucker Landestheater. Untouched landscapes, idyllic mountain villages and a magnificent mountain world that covers the west and southwest of Austria plus Northern Italy - a nature lover's paradise!
Innsbruck Travel Video - One of the great things about Innsbruck is that almost every corner you turn affords spectacular views of the Nordkette Alps, the city's natural skyscrapers. Urban meets outdoors in the relaxed Tyrolean capital, where Zaha Hadid's space-age funicular speeds you from the centre to alpine pastures clanging with cowbells in a matter of minutes. Innsbruck is a one-off. Where else can you spend the morning browsing Old Master paintings in Habsburg palaces, the afternoon skiing and the evening in a rollicking brewpub? With a late-medieval Altstadt (old town), vibrant cultural scene and adrenalin-fuelled pursuits of Olympic fame, Innsbruck is one of those rare places that really can say it has something for everyone without sounding clichéd. Must-see attractions in the heart of the Alps. Map & Photos: http://www.reformatt.com/blog/innsbruck My favorite places in Innsbruck were the Golden Roof, Maria-Theresien-Strasse, Imperial Palace, Imperial Chruch of Kenotaph Maximilian I, Ambras Castle, Cathedral of St. James and the Basilika Wilten. These places are all highly worth visiting. Innsbruck became the capital of all Tyrol in 1429 and in the fifteenth century the city became a centre of European politics and culture as emperor Maximilian I also resided in Innsbruck in the 1490s. The city benefited from the emperor's presence as can be seen for example in the so called Hofkirche. Here a funeral monument for Maximilian was planned and erected partly by his successors. The ensemble with a cenotaph and the bronze statues of ...

Travel video about destination Tyrol in Austria. Set within the magnificent Alps, the Tyrol is a picturesque state in the west of Austria and is one of the most beautiful areas in Europe. It contains many ancient towns, monasteries and fortresses that highlight the region’s history and its proud and hardy mountain people.Kitzbuhel was once a prosperous mining town but today, it is a world famous ski resort that is also popular in the summer months. The old town with its pretty middle class buildings that date back to the 15th century is a fine example of Austria’s country’s rural architecture. Around 4,000 people live in the village of Wildschonau, which is situated in a fascinating valley of the Kitzbuhel Alps that extend for some 24 kilometres. Niederau is the entrance to the Wildschonau...

Innsbruck, capital of Tirol alongside the surrounding villages is undeniably a great area located in the heart of the North Tyrolean Alps in Austria. The capital of alps is really an unique blend of alpine urban experiences – in a place where the mountains meet the valley and the city is one with nature. Innsbruck was certainly one of the most picturesque and scenic place i have ever been to. This dream of a short getaway was 5 days long in early June 2016 alongside 3 of my best mates and I hope to visit Austria again in Future. A stór, a stór, a ghrá
A stór, a stór an dtiocfaidh tú?
A stór, a stór, a grhá
An dtiocfaidh tú nó an bhfanfaidh tú?
Bhí me lá breá samhraidh i mo sheasamh ar an mhargadh
'S is iomai fear a dúirt lion: "Monuar, gan tú sa bhaile agam".
Gheall mo ghrá domsa cinnte go dtiocfadh si
Ni raibh a culaith Déanta agus sin an rud a choinnigh i
Thart tóin an gharrai, a Mháire, bhfuil an fhidil leat?
Aicearra na bprátai go dtéimid' sair an fhidileoir
Mhí mise lán den tsaoil is bhi cion amuigh is istigh orm
Nach mór a dáthraigh an saol nuair nach bhfuil eion ag duine ar

English:
One fine summers day as I stood there in the market place
Many a fine young man remarked, “I’m sad you are not home with me.”
Chorus:
My darling, my darling, my love
My darling, my darling, will you come with me
My darling, my darling, my love will you come with me or settled be.
My true love promised kindly that she would surely come with me
Her wedding dress not ready, delayed her in joining me.
We have got water from the Eirne, and green grass from the heaven’s stems
Cows udders are near rending from the overflow of milk in them.
By the bottom of the garden, a Mary, is the fiddle there?
The shortcut by the praties, we’ll hasten to the fiddler.
At one time in my life I was dearly loved by everyone
