Mikkelin Palloilijat (or MP) is a Finnish football club, based in Mikkeli. The club was formed in 1929 and has also had teams in volleyball, ice hockey and bandy. It played in the Finnish First Division (Ykkönen) from 2004 to 2006 but was relegated to Kakkonen at the end of the season. The club gained promotion to Ykkönen by winning the Group A of Kakkonen 2009 but was immediately relegated back to Kakkonen in 2010. The club's manager is Janne Wilkman, and it plays its home matches at Mikkelin Urheilupuisto.

Ice hockey departments of MP and local rivals MiPK merged in 1970, creating new club Jukurit. Jukurit has then been quite successful in Finnish amateur levels of ice hockey. However the only medal on Finnish championship level is still won by MP, a bronze in A-juniors year 1961.

Bandy department of MP was disbanded in 1977. After that colours of Mikkeli on bandy fields have been represented by Mikkelin Kampparit. Kampparit was formed in 1972, same year when Finnish Bandy Federation separated from Finnish FA. MP was a pioneer of women's football in Finland, forming one of the first ladies team. The spot in Naisten Liiga was moved from MP to Porrassalmen Urheilijat-62 in 1992.

Drowning Pool is currently a three-piece alternative metal band from Dallas, Texas. The band has had guitarist C.J. Pierce, bassist Stevie Benton and drummer Mike Luce for its entire career, however it has had several vocalists, including Dave "Stage" Williams, Jason Jones and recently Ryan McCombs of Soil.

Dave Williams era (1996–2002)[link]

Drowning Pool rose to fame while playing along with Ozzy Osbourne during an Ozzfest tour. Their 2001 debut album Sinner was certified platinum within six weeks. On August 14, 2002, the band's lead singer Dave Williams was found dead inside his tour bus. He died from an undiagnosed heart condition.^[1]

A spokesperson for the Northern District of the Virginia Office of the Chief Medical Examiner said he suffered from a form of heart disease.^[2] Many of their songs are featured in the Dragon Ball Z soundtracks. When asked if the band had any unreleased songs, according to a 2002 Blabbermouth article, drummer Mike Luce replied that "only 3–4 songs were done, including one called "Heroes," which is a tribute to dead rock musicians such as Layne Staley. I don't know if we will ever release them."^{[citation needed]}

Jason Jones era (2003–2005)[link]

After Williams' death, the band tried to carry on and begin searching for a new singer.^[3] Many were considered, such as Ben Schigel of Switched, Vince Mullins of Haji's Kitchen, Robb Flynn of Machine Head and many others. But in 2003, the band decided on Jason 'Gong' Jones to replace Williams^[4] and released the album Desensitized in 2004. During this era, Drowning Pool also experienced a considerable shift in visual style: rather than the dark, grimacing, anti-social demeanor seen with Williams as the frontman, they shifted toward rock star vanity and sex appeal. Despite the success of the album's lead single, "Step Up," the album was not nearly as successful as Sinner. Jones' departure from Drowning Pool was publicly announced on June 14, 2004, due to irreconcilable differences.^[5]

Ryan McCombs era (2006–2011)[link]

Drowning Pool announced that the new singer would be formally announced at Ozzfest in Dallas, Texas, where Drowning Pool did a one-off performance on the main stage.

On July 20, 2005, the website SMNNews received word from close sources that McCombs was indeed the new singer. According to their manager, McCombs was "really good" and someone the band had wanted when they first set out to replace original vocalist Dave Williams nearly two years prior.^[6]

In spring of 2006, Drowning Pool announced that they had parted ways with Wind-up Records.^[7] In October 2006, the new song "No More" was announced to be released on the Saw III soundtrack, their first track (besides the second version of "Rise Up") with McCombs on vocals.

On February 26, 2007, the band announced it signed a new deal with Eleven Seven Music.^[8] It was also confirmed that Drowning Pool would have a new management company, Tenth Street Entertainment.

The band's third album, Full Circle, was released on August 7, 2007 and met with moderate success. While some easy to please fans might have pointed out that they favored McCombs' vocals over previous vocalist Jason Jones, most people thought McCombs' voice didn't suit the band. Two songs on the album were produced by Funny Farm Records, owned by Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx and former Beautiful Creatures guitarist DJ Ashba. The remaining tracks have been recorded with producer Ben Schigel at the Ohio-based Spider Studios.

In January 2008, the band members announced that they would be touring North America as special guests of Saliva.^[9] On July 26, 2008, in Dubuque, Iowa, Drowning Pool played at the Dubuque County Fair alongside the bands Sick Puppies and Seether.

In September 2008, McCombs said in a statement that Drowning Pool will be recording its next album after it finishes touring with Saliva.^[10] According to an article from the El Paso Times, Drowning Pool has written material for its new album, and the band will be in the recording studio following the holidays.

On December 9, 2008, bassist Stevie Benton was quoted by the Associated Press as considering it an honor that the U.S. military was using Drowning Pool's music to bother captured prisoners. ^[11] On December 13, 2008, Stevie Benton issued an apology on Drowning Pool's MySpace page about his comment on musical torture, stating his comment had been "taken out of context".^[12]

On March 3, 2009, the band released its live album, Loudest Common Denominator, which featured two bonus tracks of acoustic versions of "Shame" and "37 Stitches".^[13]

According to a blog posted by the band members on the website SMNNEWS, they have hinted at having six songs already completed, and they just need to finish the other half of the album. McCombs dropped teasers of possible titles to two of the songs, "L.O.M.L" and "Regret".^[14] Guitarist C.J. Pierce also said he is bringing back some effects used on debut album Sinner, but not on the previous two albums.^[14]

Drowning Pool finished recording their latest album with Kato Khandwala producing at House of Loud in New Jersey, which will be the first album in the band's history featuring the same vocalist twice since Dave Williams, who recorded two pre-Sinner albums as well as Sinner itself.

The first single off the band's upcoming self-titled album, titled "Feel Like I Do", is available as a free download on their official website, and the album was released on April 27, 2010.^[15]

Search for fourth singer and VooDoo Corps[link]

On November 29, 2011 it was announced that Ryan McCombs had left the band to rejoin SOiL on their European tour to promote the 10th anniversary of their Scars album and maybe even to record a new record. Drowning Pool is currently writing new material for a fifth studio album and holding auditions to find their fourth vocalist.^[16]

On November 7, 2011, it was announced that C.J. Pierce and Mike Luce have diverted their attention towards a new project with ex–Nonpoint members Zach Broderick and Ken McMillan titled Voodoo Corps.^[17]

The band are currently working on a new album, although a new singer has not been announced.

Hunter Easton Hayes (born September 9, 1991) is an American country music singer and songwriter. He is signed to Atlantic Records Nashville, which released his debut single "Storm Warning" on May 16, 2011. His self titled album was released on October 11, 2011.^[2]

Biography[link]

Hayes was born on September 9, 1991 in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana to Lynette and Leo Hayes.^[3] He began his musical career at age two when his grandmother gave him a toy accordion. At age four, he began making appearances at local performances and on national television, including showings on Maury, Rosie O'Donnell, and Nickelodeon's series Figure It Out.^[4][5] At the age of 13, Hayes appeared on "America's Most Talented Kids," a show hosted by Dave Coulier. He performed the hit Hank Williams song, "Hey Good Lookin'."

In 2008, he moved from his hometown of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana to Nashville, Tennessee to be signed with Universal Music Publishing Group as a songwriter. He graduated in 2007, at the age of 16, and in 2010, co-wrote "Play" for the Rascal Flatts album Nothing Like This. In September 2010, Hayes was signed to Atlantic Records Nashville and released his debut single "Storm Warning" on May 16, 2011.^[6] It was the first single from his debut album, on which Hayes played every instrument and co-produced with Dann Huff.^[7] Matt Bjorke of Roughstock gave the single three stars out of five, praising the lyrics and comparing Hayes' voice favorably to Rascal Flatts' lead singer Gary LeVox, with whom Hayes toured from January to February 2012 on the Rascal Flatts "Thaw Out" tour.^[8][9] Hayes' debut, self-titled album, Hunter Hayes was released on October 11, 2011.^[10]

Hayes appeared as the opening act of ten dates of country star Taylor Swift's Speak Now World Tour throughout the summer of 2011 and concluded his leg of the tour in St. Louis, Missouri. He went on his own radio tour that lasted several weeks on which he debuted songs that would appear on his self titled album.^[11] Hayes concluded the first leg his debut headlining tour entitled the Most Wanted Tour. This leg of the tour began on October 8, 2011 in Beaumont, Texas and ended on December 4, 2011 in San Bernardino, California.^[12] Hayes and actress/singer Victoria Justice contributed a duet to the soundtrack of 2011's Footloose remake, recording a cover of Mike Reno and Ann Wilson's 1984 hit "Almost Paradise" from the original film. Hayes made a sneak appearance on the compilation album Now That's What I Call Music! 41 with his song "Somebody's Heartbreak," originally heard on his self-titled album.^[13] "Where We Left Off" is an original song, written by Hayes, that can be heard on the soundtrack for the 2012 war film Act of Valor.^[14] In late 2012, Hayes will be the opening act for Carrie Underwood's Blown Away Tour.

Alison Brie (born December 29, 1982)^[1] is an American actress best known for portraying Annie Edison on Community, Trudy Campbell on Mad Men, and Rebecca Walters in Scream 4.

Early life[link]

Brie was born Alison Brie Schermerhorn in Hollywood, California. Her mother, Joanne (Brenner), works at the non-profit child care agency Para Los Niños, and her father, Charles Terry Schermerhorn, is a musician and freelance entertainment reporter.^[2][3] Brie began her career acting onstage at the Jewish Community Center in Southern California (her mother is Jewish).^[4][5] She graduated from the California Institute of the Arts with a bachelor's in theater in 2005.^[6] Prior to becoming a television actress, Brie had worked as a clown at birthday parties, and performed in theater in California.^[7]

For a time, Brie studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow.^[8]

One of Brie's first television roles was the minor character Nina, a novice hairdresser, on Hannah Montana. She then went on to star in the web series My Alibi, and was chosen for the role of Trudy Campbell in Mad Men. She is also a main cast member on Community as Annie Edison.

On April 15, 2010, Brie co-hosted G4's Attack of the Show!.^{[citation needed]} Brie has also appeared for a short segment on the G4 show, Web Soup.^{[citation needed]} She had a role in the 2010 film Montana Amazon.^[9] She made Maxim's 2010 Hot 100 list at number 99^[10] and Maxim's 2011 Hot 100 list at number 49.^[11] She had a role in the horror film Scream 4, as Sidney Prescott's assistant, Rebecca Walters. The film was released on April 15, 2011.^[12] She appeared alongside Jason Segel and Emily Blunt in The Five-Year Engagement, which was released April 27, 2012.

Caplan was born and raised in Los Angeles. She grew up in a Reform Jewish family.^[1] Caplan attended Alexander Hamilton High School,^[2] and was a student at the school's Academy of Music. At first, she focused on playing the piano but later decided to pursue drama.^[3] She graduated in 2000.^[2]

Caplan began her television acting career in 1999 playing the minor role of Sara, a girlfriend of Jason Segel's character, on the critically acclaimed series Freaks and Geeks.^[4] Caplan had a series of guest appearances on numerous shows. She also appeared in Jason Mraz's music video "You and I Both". In 2001, she played Tina Greer in an episode of Smallville, and reprised her role on the show in 2003. She appeared in two episodes of the ABC series Once and Again as Sarah, the ex-girlfriend of Mischa Barton's character, Katie Singer.

She gained wider notice in the 2004 movie Mean Girls. She played the alternative-styled Janis Ian, named for the singer-songwriter. In 2003, she starred in the television series The Pitts, playing Faith Pitt. In the second season of Tru Calling, she played Avery Bishop, a friend of Tru Davies.

Caplan landed a starring role in 2005, playing Marjee Sorelli, the troubled sister in Related, a one-hour dramedy on The WB. The show was canceled after one season. In 2006, Caplan played the starring role of Sara Weller in Wesley Strick's thriller, Love is the Drug. She was named one of “10 Actors to Watch” that year by Variety.^[5] After Related ended, Caplan was cast in the CBS sitcom The Class, which premiered on September 18, 2006, and lasted one season. She played Kat Warbler, one of several elementary-school friends that reunite after 20 years.^[5]

In 2008, Caplan appeared in the film Cloverfield playing Marlena Diamond, and was nominated for a Saturn award as Best Supporting Actress. She also appeared in the romantic comedy My Best Friend's Girl playing Ami, the roommate of Kate Hudson's character Alexis. She is the voice of Faith Pitt in the animated version of The Pitts, released in 2009. In 2008, Caplan guest starred on the vampire-themed HBO show True Blood in a multiple-episode story arc as Amy Burley, the drug-addled girlfriend of Sookie Stackhouse's brother, Jason.

Caplan also appeared in the critically acclaimed Starz ensemble comedy Party Down, playing a struggling comedienne who is part of a catering crew. In 2010, she appeared in 127 Hours, a film directed by Danny Boyle. Based on a true story, Caplan played the sister of hiker Aron Ralston, played by James Franco, who was forced to amputate his own arm after being trapped by a boulder.^[6]

In early 2012, Caplan premiered two films at the Sundance Film Festival: Save the Date and Bachelorette. Also in 2012, Caplan has appeared in several episodes of the Fox sitcom New Girl as Julia. In March 2012, she filmed a television pilot for Showtime's Masters of Sex. Caplan and Michael Sheen played 1960s human sexuality pioneers Masters and Johnson.
