Welcome to Greece 2011: exploring the unique east aegean island of Samos (high quality)
www.samos-media.com http My 2011 photo-presentation of one of the most beautiful and green greek islands, the unique east aegean island of Samos! Siga, siga ....., take your time, slowly enter into the amazing sphere of that unique island, the presentation is 26 minutes long. The sort of panoramic photo- presentation in this format is intended to be non-commercial! samos-media.blogspot.com Most of the photos presented I took in the year 2010. The music accompanying this presentation I recorded in the village of Leka on the evening of July 16th, 2010. Put on your earphones and dive into the panigyri-like atmosphere, captured when one of the best groups of Samos was playing there on the village square during an event organized by the voluntary fire brigade. I had met these musicians before on other occasions, eg in August 2008 in Kallithea (panigyri) and Kastaneá (charity event). Musicians: Mavrikis, Kyriakos: main vocals, guitar, bouzouki Liapis, Giorgos: laouto, bouzouki, vocals Sarantou, Vasilis: violin, vocals Mytilinos, Giannis: keyboards, vocals Giorgos Liapis channel: www.youtube.com Samos is a unique island, this green emerald in the blue aegean sea (greek & green!) is located just a few kilometers away from the coast of Asia Minor. It is loaded with natural beauties and archeological sites and - in contrast to many other greek islands - Samos is gifted with large water reservoirs, partly due to forests and high mountains. In addition, Samos is famous eg for its ...

Beautifull Greece Bouzouki
Although Greece's music is for many listeners inextricably linked to bouzoukis (long-necked lutes) and ouzo-soaked, plate-smashing spins of Zorba the Greek tunes, a closer listen reveals a rich musical crossroads that reaches out to Western Europe, the Balkans, the Middle East and western Asia, and yet stands firmly on its own unique terrain. Whether it's heard as contemporary laiko pop or centuries-old Byzantine liturgical melodies, sprightly nisiotika dances from the sunny islands or the dark-hued and earthy sound of the double-reeded zourna and the daouli drum from northern Thrace, Greek music is incredibly varied for such a tiny country—one with a worldwide diaspora population that now outpaces the number of Greeks living in the country. (And of course, the diaspora groups have lent their own unique imprint to contemporary Greek music.)

Patras - Griechenland, Greece HD
English see below www.myvideomedia.com [dt.] ***** [en.] Patras is the third largest city in Greece and the largest city on the Peloponnese. Patras is a major port and a center of trade and commerce. Rev. In Jin Moon's Lovin' LLM Sermon, August 7, 2011
Sermon Notes, August 7, 2011
In Jin Moon
1. In Jin Nim greeted everyone. (The applause was especially enthusiastic – with all the middle school camp kids in the audience). She just got back from Las Vegas at two o'clock this morning. True Parents (True Parents) send us their greetings!
True Parents at Hoon Dok Hae in Las Vegas, August 6, 2011
2. In Jin Nim reported to True Parents about the WFWP 19th annual conference -- they were delighted to hear about it. Congratulations to the WFWP. In Jin Nim recognized Angelika Selle (President) and the team that did such a phenomenal job. The conference highlighted the beauty of women from all around the world who came to discuss how to unlock the power and beauty of relationships. In Jin Nim had the honor of being the keynote speaker at one of the morning plenary sessions. To come together in the spirit of the feminine and in the celebration of the feminine and discuss amongst themselves how they can be the agent of change to usher in the new millennium. It was an incredibly powerful and profoundly moving experience for In Jin Nim. In Jin Nim could not attend the gala in the evening which she heard was a great success (she had to fly out to Las Vegas to report to True Parents) – with lovely dancers and a comedian who brought down the roof. True Parents and (especially) True Mother were delighted to hear that the WFWP had completed its 19th conference
3. Whenever In Jin Nim visits True Parents she always is so grateful – realizing what an incredible time we are living in. She likes to say that this is the time of the breaking news. Jesus Christ brought the good news – truly helping all of humanity to understand the meaning of what it is to truly love one another and encouraging women to live an inspired and true life. But now is the time of the breaking news because now we are not only talking about understanding and substantiating and applying true love and true life in our lives but really coming to substantiate the true lineage of God – grafting on to the heavenly lineage and becoming one family under God. So – it is an incredibly exciting time for all of us here working in the Ministry
4. As we think about each Sunday and what topics and issues will be discussed – they (Lovin' Life team) are always tickled pink when they realize that so much of the inspiration comes from the enthusiasm of the young people which they show to the Lovin' Life Ministry every Sunday – and enthusiasm that is shared all around the country in 100 different satellite locations across America. "We know that when we can see and experience the inspired youth, truly encouraged in the spirit of true love – wanting to build that ideal family, society, nation, and world, we know that it is not just a dream that we are dealing with, when we think or ponder or ruminate on the topic on this beautiful world of peace, but it is something tangible, something that we are working towards each and every day, something that we can build upon starting with you and me."
5. As In Jin Nim was taking the trip to Las Vegas, on the way back going through LA they had to wait for a plane to come and replace the plane they were supposed to be on. And so they had some delay time. People started gathering in small groups and talking with each other. And In Jin Nim noticed in one corner three young teenage girls. They were beautiful girls huddled together looking at fashion magazines. Glamour, Elle, Cosmopolitan, People, Us, (and others). They were pointing at different people and things exclaiming, "I want to be like her, I want to have that, she has legs 6 miles long, her body is perfect, 36-24-32." In Jin Nim listened to their conversation – "you know, these people they have it all, they're beautiful, they have their cars, mansions, iPods and iPad's, fabulous girlfriends and boyfriends, all the designer clothes (In Jin Nim named the brands and designers – "they knew their stuff" – designer bags and shoes). When I become rich and successful these are the things that I want!"
6. These ladies were between 15 and 17. They were infused with this incredible desire – wanting the latest designer clothing and bags (In Jin Nim gave several designer names). It is interesting how, it doesn't matter where we come from, what culture we are born into, what race we belong to – in the journey through life, on the road of life where we come to understand what we are all about and who we are and what we need to do and what kind of people we need to be – there is this word that we come face-to-face with from time to time – the word 'desire.'
7. Many times we say to ourselves that we desire things. We desire all these things that we want to acquire – we desire. In Jin Nim often thinks, yes we desire all these things, we desire X – (fill in the box). But many times in life there are other things at play, not just we as individuals, but there are also supernatural things at play, there are th

HQ. gestalt work on awareness, part 1. hebrew subtitles added.
BY FRANKLYN WEPNER SEPTEMBER 1, 2006
HOW I WORK: GESTALT DREAMWORK AS THEATER AND PROPHECY
GESTALT DREAM WORK AS PREPARATION FOR PERFORMING
Since 1975 I have been using Gestalt work on awareness, dreams and personal relationships as a way to train and direct performers. The basic principle is simple. I use the Gestalt work to peel the onion of layer after layer of social cliches, ego games and unfinished personal business, and then I do the reverse process reconstituting the onion in the form of characters or other artist structures. The existential message of the dream becomes the superobjective or action of the tragedy, and then I build up the way the performer handles the characters and the plot around that.
My usual procedure is to begin the training with three Gestalt sessions, one on one. The first session, two hours long, deals with the three zones of awareness. During the first hour I simply let him relate what he aware of, since I want to know how he operates before I start meddling with his life. This is important since overall during the Gestalt sessions we are peeling the onion of cliches and games to get to authentic action, and later we will need all of those layers to rebuild the onion as characters involved in the unfolding action of a drama. We need his cliche and game layers for the beginning of the action in Act One as much as we need his authentic action at the end of the dramatic action for Acts Four and Five of a tragic drama.
During the second hour of the first Gestalt session on awareness I attempt to guide him towards a balance of the zones of awareness: outer zone awareness of the environment, inner zone awareness of his body, and fantasy zone awareness of his daydreams. The second and third Gestalt sessions are each three hours long, and each is a typical Gestalt dreamwork session as presented by Fritz Perls in Gestalt Therapy Verbatim. The performer tells the dream in the here and now, identifies with (play acts) several of the main images of the dream in dialogues with each other, and experiences the rhythm of contact and withdrawal. That is to say, after each major dialogue of polarized sides of himself (the contact part) he is instructed to close his eyes, enter his body awareness and daydream (the withdrawal phase of the rhythm).
Since my goal is theater as well as healing, whenever possible during the Gestalt dreamwork I encourage lots of expression using sound and movements. I work with a palette of about 200 different types of recorded musical excerpts, and whenever appropriate I ask him if that image or emotional state were part of a movie what sort of music might be the sound track. Then I find something close to that in my palette of musical colors and ask him to express the mood using the music along with his vocalizing and expressive movements. While he is doing the entire session I spend most of my time jotting down near verbatim notes and making stick figures of his poses and movements, since later in the work I will feed all this back to him and encourage him to explore using it as creative material for acting, dance or whatever his medium is. Taping the session is less useful, since then I would need to spend too much time replaying the tapes. Taking notes live forces me to sort out the wheat from the chaff very efficiently, even at the cost of not observing or notating every detail.
WORKING OUT FROM YOUR CENTERS
After the three introductory one on one Gestalt sessions, session number four is for feedback and discussion of the results. I show him in my notes and diagrams all of the stages of competed and uncompleted actions, and together we search for characters in the theater literature that have similar patterns of action. Is he a Hamlet type, or an Oedipus type, for example? In contrast to the usual practice in acting classes, his first acting assignment probably will be a monologue from a serious tragedy, since I want him to begin with a dramatic action with which he can identify totally. In this process he is using his major Gestalt moments as what Michael Chekhov in his book "To The Actor" labels "psychological gestures". Perls calls them the "essences" of a patient's personality, or we can say he is working from his "centers", stretching those sounds, moves and psychological motivations in as many creative directions as he can. I monitor closely to be sure he is not faking it, the way most actors end up doing since they do not have the centers to begin with.
Before the performer begins working with others doing improvs and scenework, there is an important transitional stage in the work in which I help him get comfortable using his very personal Gestalt material freely as creative material. He needs to shift from seeing himself as a patient to enjoying the role of an artist of the

GESTALT WORK ON AWARENESS WITH BEL part 3 (HQ)
part 3 of a two hour gestalt session on awareness with actress bel baca. the focus here is "the rhythm of contact and withdrawal", alternating between contact with the environment and withdrawal into the void of "not knowing" to discover what fantasies and new ideas are waiting to emerge into awareness there.

The Rise of Extreme Nationalism in Europe and East vs West
Follow us @ twitter.com twitter.com The two biggest economies sat down to the table amidst an ongoing trade rift today. China's Vice President Xi Jinping is in Washington meet with with Barack Obama at the white house. As they do the diplomatic dance, we've recently heard tough talk towards china from both obama, as well as other republican presidential hopefuls -- we'll separate campaign rhetoric from reality. We speak with professor Ann Lee from Demos and ask her what the outcome of US-China relations will be not just one or two years from now, but further down the line. Are concerns about a trade war or a currency war just par for the course? Should we be worried about an actual war? And, let's talk about the Eurozone, because no matter what you think, this is a wound that continues to fester. We thought that the Greek government had managed to pass an agreement that now just needed a rubber stamping from the folks in brussels, washington and around the banking world. But now it appears that this may not be the case. A Finance Minister meeting scheduled for tomorrow has been canceled amidst concerns that the greek government has not gone far enough. Specifically, Antonis Samaras, leader of the new democracy party, is being asked to make a firmer commitment to the terms of the agreement, which he seemed to shy away from by saying that, after elections, Greeks would be able to seek better terms. Meanwhile, the rating agencies still stalk the european sovereigns on the ...

Greeks in Despair: Suicide rate record high
Athens has clinched a critical bond-swap deal with private creditors allowing Greece to narrowly escape default, opening the door for a bailout injection. Eurozone members were quick to rejoice what they called a major step to rescuing the debt-ridden country. But the parachute provides little optimism for the Greeks whose financial woes continue to snowball, as Tom Barton reports. RT on Twitter twitter.com RT on Facebook www.facebook.com

The Byzantines. Byzantine Empire (or Byzantium) Eastern Roman Empire
See More: gekos.no The Byzantine Empire (or Byzantium) was the Eastern Roman Empire during the periods of Late Antiquity and the Middle Ages, centred on the capital of Constantinople. Known simply as the "Roman Empire" (Greek: Βασιλεία Ῥωμαίων, Basileia Rhōmaiōn) or Romania (Ῥωμανία) to its inhabitants and neighbours, it was the direct continuation of the Ancient Roman State and maintained Roman state traditions. Byzantium is today distinguished from ancient Rome proper insofar as it was oriented towards Greek culture, characterised by Christianity rather than Roman paganism and was predominantly Greek-speaking rather than Latin-speaking.
