Full video: 3 sinhalese people's attacked Tamil youth and forced to drown near the sea
Sri Lanka Police and Sri Lanka Army soldiers beat a mentally ill Tamil youth and forced the youth to drown near the sea near Bambalapitya, Colombo, railway station Thursday. The youth was identified as Balavarnam Sivakumar, 26, of Ratmalana, according to media reports in Colombo, which belatedly listed the youth's identity. "The entire country [Sri Lanka] watched in horror, as a group of heavily built men attacked the mentally unstable [Tamil] youth with wooden poles while he pleaded for mercy, when it was telecast on several news bulletins on Thursday night," Daily Mirror said.

Rehabilitated former LTTE carder sings a Sinhala Song "Hanthanata Payana Sada"- 13 Dec 2011
Link to this video: www.youtube.com He belonged to the most ruthless terrorist organization "Tamil Tigers" (LTTE) which fought for a separate homeland for Tamils in Sri Lanka called "Tamil Eelam". During his career as a rebel he was brainwashed to kill Sinhalese people. He fought for LTTE in final war against Sri Lanka military forces. Now he is rehabilitated and reintegrate to society. He sings a Sinhala song with passion. That is the degree of transformation--from terrorist to a respectable civilian in society-- the world must appreciate and the efforts done by the Government of President Mahinda Rajapaksa for reconciliation and not raising accountability issues on casualties of war. Like beggars scratching wounds to earn a living, digging history will never heal wounds of 30yrs of civil war in Sri Lanka. Its time for reconciliation and apply lessons learned from past mistakes A Rehabilitated former LTTE carder sings a Sinhala Song "Hanthanata Payana Sada". Isn't it an amazing transformation -from terrorist to a respectable civilian? His crimes and crimes of 10000 LTTE terrorists were forgiven by President Mahinda Rajapaksa and they were rehabilitated and re-integrated to Sri Lankan civil society. Those former LTTE terrorists who used to kill Sinhalese are now singing Sinhalese songs with passion. What president Mahinda Rajapaksa yet to do is forgiving Former SL Army Commander General Sarath Fonseka who lead SL Army to defeat LTTE terrorism. original video source ...

LTTE
there is no different between tamil and LTTE they all same blood. They are fighting for the freedom for tamils we don't want be slave to sinhala people. in the history 3500 BC Srilanka belongs to tamils sinhala people they came from india that is a true. when they came to srilanka some people were living that is tamils it is our mother land we don't want to lose our identity. sri lankan government didn't do anything for tamils and they don't care about us the fact is sinhala government doesn't care about tamils who live in north. there was an incident happened in baticalo . sl army raped a tamil girl and after that they killed her mother. this was a ture story, because sl army doesn't care about tamil people, in srilanka there is two different ethnic groups. racism was started after english government left. for tamil student they didnt allow to uneversity with good score because of they were born as a tamils. after that bundarnayakke came he made enough laws against tamils. for example i think it was happened in denmark, sinhala people doing protest against tamil, then tamils heard about this and they went to that place, after that sinhala people called police for security, but tamil were telling to the police that we also came to do protest with sinhala people but they said they cant stay with tamil.do u know wt happened after that sinhala people on one side in the middle the police and the other side was tamils. this is the ture about tamils and sinhala people they cant ...

Kudankulam - A Sinhalese Atom Bomb
Even though the Indian Government says that Kudankulam is built to withstand Earth Quake & Sunami, which itself is not guaranteed, the possibility of Attack by Neighboring countries is not discussed by the concerned people. But, considering the animosity of Sinhalese against Tamils, the possibility of attack by Srilanka is quite a concern and considering the apathy of Indian government for Tamils, this possibility looms large. This is the concern which this video shares with the conscience of the people of the world.

Thesathin Thalaimahane Eelam Song
THE EARLY TAMILS The Tamils are an ancient people with a history dating back to atleast 2500 years. The Tamil language, the lingua franco of the Tamils, is one of the five oldest living languages of the world. The Tamil classical literature, popularly called the Sangam (Academy) literature (1st -4th Century AD) is a collection of poems of lasting quality and artistic merit. They reflect faithfully the high level of civilization and literary attainments of the ancient Tamils. THE EARLY SINHALESE The Sinhala people trace their origins in the island to the arrival of Prince Vijaya from Bengal in India, about 2500 years ago. The Mahavamsa, a Sinhala chronicle written by a Buddhist Bhikku by the name of Mahanama, (6th Century AD) records that Prince Vijaya arrived on the island on the same day that the Buddha attained enlightenment.

Rush and Reed Conservation and Diversification Program - Sri Lanka (Sinhalese)
The Rush and Reed Conservation and Diversification Program, run by the Committee for People's Rights, is helping to restore the biological diversity (of birds, fish, insects and microorganisms) and ecological processes in paddy fields (wetlands) that were decimated during the Green Revolution. The group works to revive the traditional value and methods of rush and reed production as a cottage industry for poverty reduction.
In 2004, the Rush and Reed Conservation and Diversification Program won the Equator Prize which is awarded biennially to recognize outstanding community efforts to reduce poverty through the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity. This video was created as part of our Biodiversity for Local Livelihoods project.

Sri Lanka - Towards a New Future... (HD)
In June 2009, Sri Lanka officially declared the End of the War.
After almost thirty years of Sri Lankan Brothers and Sisters killing eachother... it has come to an End. And now it seems like everyone is finally tired of the killing and the innocent bloodshed, and just wants peace. Let us hope no other life has to end, that there will be no racism ever again, and that all Sri Lankan's will come together as one, towards a new future.
This is my tribute to the beautiful people of my beautiful Island of Sri Lanka.
All pictures and videos are Mine.
Soundtrack: Living Darfur - Mattafix

07 Sri Lanka - Building peace for Sri Lanka, the power of biodiversity
A three decade-long civil war finally ended in 2009 with a vital need for reconciliation. In fact, modern civil wars don’t stop with a peace treaty. The effects of trauma on people and on biodiversity are long lasting and tensions remain very strong.
With the vision to plant the seeds of peace among Sinhalese and Tamil youth, professor Kotagama, the most famous Sri Lankan ornithologist, is leading a program called “Reconciliation through the Power of Nature.” Inspired by the harmony within biodiversity, he uses a bird education platform to break down communication barriers and negative attitudes between the different ethnic communities to create a common Sri Lankan identity.
The power of biodiversity is limitless to create a better tomorrow.

GURU CHEF ROHAN CREATES A LION SHAPED CAKE (SINHA -LION)
Beautiful cake finished in butter cream icing. The Sinhalese are an ethnic group forming the majority of Sri Lanka, constituting 74% of the Sri Lankan population. They number approximately 15 million in the world. They live mainly in central, south and west Sri Lanka. According to legend they are the descendants of the exiled Prince Vijaya who arrived from North-East India to Sri Lanka in 543 BCE. The Sinhalese identity is based on language, heritage and religion. The vast majority of Sinhalese are Theravada Buddhists and speak Sinhala, an Indo-European language belonging to the sub group of Indo-Aryan languages of the Indo-Iranian branch. The Sinhalese are also known as "Hela" or "Sinhala". These synonyms find their origins in the two words Sinha (meaning "lion") and Hela (meaning "pristine"). The name Sinhala translates to "lion people" and refers to the myths regarding the descent of the legendary founder of the Sinhalese people, the prince Vijaya. The royal dynasty from ancient times on the island was the Sinha (Lion) royal dynasty and the word Sinha finds its origins here.

Sinhala Men In Colombo On The War, Peace and Reconciliation /* Sri Lanka */
How are Tamils reacting to the end of war? Ive been watching the flag convoys thru town and them seem to be mostly Sinhala and Muslim. Which is fine, but I wondered how the Tamils feel. So I called a few friends and walked around the Tamil parts of town. Most people were scared to talk, certainly not on camera. On camera they say that if Mahinda does what he says and Tamils have rights itll be good. Off camera, they are hurting for their relatives in the north, believe that Prabhakaran may be alive and worry about the flag convoys running thru town. Trishaw Johnny I called up a trilingual friend and picked him up in what turned out to be a pretty Sinhalese Buddhist neighborhood. We drove to Kochikade to have a look around that more Tamil hood. So were walking around and peeps basically wont talk, certainly not to the camera. Gave a trishaw driver my ID and explained this that and the other and his opinion is still somewhere between the lines. He says Prabha isnt dead. He said there was good and bad on both side. Between the lines he seemed a bit bummed that LTTE had got thrashed. Barside Chatties Then we went round the corner to Kotahena and caught some bit tipsy guys getting out of a bar and having a chat on the street. They were quite excited and, in my opinion, lovely. They were Sinhala, one mentioned from Matara, and spoke of how all races should be as one and how expats should come back here and build. Matara fellow was very clear to say we love them, as in Tamil ...
