Representative Democracy IS NOT Democracy
"In 93 percent of House of Representatives races and 94 percent of Senate races that had been decided by mid-day Nov. 5, the candidate who spent the most money ended up winning..." Just soak that up for the time being. Please dont leave stupid comments like, "democracy is the dictatorship of the majority." I'll address this issue in my next video. Also, don't assume what my positions is and then argue that position. Direct Democracy: 7 Essential Principles for Ressurrecting Western Democracy MOV01674.MPG
Democracy in the western world is now a hollow shell. We have never moved past mere representative democracy to embrace the Swiss system of direct democracy. Unless we do the 7 key principles for full democracy will be lost.

Representation (re: LazloDoe)
The job of an elected representative is representing their constituency, and not much more -- we cannot expect them to represent those who are not within their constituency. However, they should also consider the potential consequences of their actions which may extend beyond their constituency. LazloDoe's response: www.youtube.com myspace.com emptv.com

African Dance from Botswana!
African dance performed by the Ngoao Loshalaba from Botswana and the Okavango Delta area performing at Wilderness Films India Ltd. in New Delhi. The most fantastic rhythm being created without the aid of percussion, drums or other instruments. The human body is the best musical instrument! I bet Paul Simon got his inspiration from the likes of these musicians from Africa! Note the beautiful cat skins on the backs of the men. The dance is called setap and the performers are Batswana. According to Wikipedia: "Botswana, officially the Republic of Botswana (Tswana: Lefatshe la Botswana), is a landlocked country located in Southern Africa. The citizens are referred to as "Batswana" (singular: Motswana). Formerly the British protectorate of Bechuanaland, Botswana adopted its new name after becoming independent within the Commonwealth on 30 September 1966. It has held free and fair democratic elections since independence. Botswana is flat, and up to 70% is covered by the Kalahari Desert. It is bordered by South Africa to the south and southeast, Namibia to the west and north, and Zimbabwe to the northeast. Its border with Zambia to the north is poorly defined but at most is a few hundred meters long. A mid-sized country of just over two million people, Botswana is one of the most sparsely populated countries in the world. Botswana was one of the poorest countries in Africa when it gained independence from Britain in 1966, with a GDP per capita of about US$70. Botswana has since ...

Jack Webb Schools Obama on Democracy
Their best guys didn't know the Cash for Clunkers program would go through it's first billion in six days. Now they roll the dice on our health insurance with a 2000 page bill. A bill without one word on tort reform. Yeah, we trust you guys plenty. You'll be hearing from us in 2010. Jack Webb reminds the president he lives in a representative democracy, not a benign dictatorship. At bulletpeople.com is my blog. Hat tip to David H. Vowell, author of the episode "The Prophet." At http watch the original episodes.
