Romney Camp Circulates Fake List of Paul Delegate Nominees at Maine GOP
Mitt Romney operatives try to divide the votes that Ron Paul supporters were to cast for delegates to the RNC in Tampa, during the Maine GOP Convention. They did so by circulating not one, but two different slates, to make Paul voters think there had been a change in the official list of delegate nominees that were being endorsed by the Ron Paul campaign. And they got caught. Ginger Taylor, AdventuresInAutism.com More on this at http Update: At the convention on Sunday, he was in attendance, and wearing a name tag that read "Charlie" but the last name was covered. He had a green "volunteer" ribbon on his badge. Addendum: The push continues by the Romney campaign. Saturday night at the dinner held after the first day, Mitt Romney's brother spoke, asking for "unity" in the party. However the following day it was reported that Mitt Romney had sent their top lawyer to Maine to get the results of the Maine GOP convention thrown out. So much for unity. News report is here, short interview I gave is also a part of the piece. www.youtube.com The report mentions that Charlie Webster, current head of the Maine GOP complained about the vote. Many of the Paul people are upset with Charlie for the way he ran the caucuses and the way he has belittled the Paul supporters. However... Following the convention Sunday night, he met with the delegates to the RNC, (including me, as I was elected as an alternate) and said that he knew that there would be a challenge to the Maine delegation (of ...

WHO Lists Cell Phones as Cancer Hazard - Alex Jones Tv
Kurt Nimmo www.infowars.com May 31, 2011 The United Nations' health agency, the World Health Organization, now lists mobile phone use in the same "carcinogenic hazard" category as lead, engine exhaust and chloroform. www.cnn.com But no adverse health effects have been established, the agency explains. The decision to list cell phones as a cancer hazard came after a team of 31 scientists from 14 countries examined peer-reviewed studies on cell phone safety. "The biggest problem we have is that we know most environmental factors take several decades of exposure before we really see the consequences," said Dr. Keith Black, chairman of neurology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Numerous studies indicate prolonged cell phone use is hazardous. The European Environmental Agency has pushed for more studies. It says cell phones may be as big a public health risk as smoking, asbestos and leaded gasoline. In 2009, WHO reached the same conclusion. A decade-long, $30 million study into cell phones found a link between long term use and brain tumors. The WHO's Interphone investigation's results showed "a significantly increased risk" of some brain tumors "related to use of mobile phones for a period of ten years or more," the Telegraph reported. www.foxnews.com

The Fujara and its Music
UNESCO: Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity - 2008 URL: www.unesco.org Description: The Fujara, an extremely long flute with three finger holes traditionally played by Slovak shepherds, is regarded as an integral part of the traditional culture of Central Slovakia. It is not just a musical instrument, but also an artefact of great artistic value due to its highly elaborate, individual ornamentation. The main tube of the flute measures 160 to 200 cm in length and is connected to a shorter tube of 50 to 80 cm. The instrument is characterized by deep mumbling tones, emitted by its lower register and very high overtones made possible by the length of the instrument. The melancholic and rhapsodic music varies according to the content of the songs, related to the shepherds life and work. The musical repertoire is based on melodies determined by the technical features of the instrument and sounds imitating nature, such as the gurgle of a stream or a wellspring. In the course of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, the Fujara became known and appreciated beyond the shepherds use. Through festivals, the instrument played by musicians from the Podpolanie region gained recognition and popularity throughout Slovakia. The Fujara is played at various occasions throughout the year, but mainly from spring to autumn, by professional musicians and a few remaining shepherds performing at festivals. During recent decades the Fujara is increasingly played at ...

Terri Lyne Carrington's "Mosaic Project" - Live in Tokyo
Follow Terri Lyne on Facebook: www.facebook.com For more than two decades, drummer, producer and vocalist Terri Lyne Carrington has crafted an eclectic brand of jazz that incorporates elements of bebop, soul, funk and much more. Since her debut in 1989, the GRAMMY®-nominated artist has established a reputation for assembling artists of varying styles and perspectives to create music that adheres to the traditions of jazz yet speaks to a much broader and more diverse audience. Carrington brings this same diverse sensibility to her new recording The Mosaic Project, an album that once again gathers a myriad of voices and crystallizes them into a multi-faceted whole that far outweighs the sum of its parts. "Everything about this recording is about making a larger picture out of many various elements," says Carrington, who produced the 14-song set. "I assembled several friends - most of whom I've performed with in the past, and all of whom bring their own individual story - to help me create the big picture. For as talented as each of them are as individuals, when I put them all together, I have a much greater musical story - one that can be told in an interesting and compelling way." Included on that list of friends are some of the most prominent female jazz artists of the last few decades: Esperanza Spalding, Dianne Reeves, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Sheila E., Nona Hendryx, Cassandra Wilson, Geri Allen and several others. Carrington says the emergence of so many great female jazz ...

From the IBM-developed Hollerith punchcards used in the 1890 US census, to race-mixing studies for Cold Springs Harbor and concentration camps in Rockefeller-funded Nazi Germany, eugenicists have long tabulated vital statistics in order to attack subtly and with precision. DHS Implementing No Work List: Citizens Must Get Government Approval to Work in Private Sector Jobs
Kurt Nimmo Infowars.com December 16, 2010 You've heard of no fly and no buy lists -- get ready for no work lists. Millions of workers now must apply to the DHS and prove they are not terrorists in order to be granted permission by the government to work. On the Alex Jones Show today, a caller pointed to information posted on a union website for ironworkers spelling out details on the Department of Homeland Security's TWIC and SWAC programs. TWIC is short for Transportation Worker Identification Credential and SWAC stands for Secure Worker Access Consortium. TWIC "is a biometric credential that ensures only vetted workers are eligible to enter a secure construction site, unescorted," Ironworkers Local 361 in Ozone Park, New York, explains. "Before issuing a TWIC, TSA must conduct a security threat assessment on the TWIC applicant. An applicant who, as a result of the assessment, is determined to not pose a security threat, will be issued a TWIC card." In other words, construction workers in New York will need permission from the TSA and DHS in order to practice their profession and earn a living. It was much the same in the former Soviet Union and authoritarian states such as China where the government determines all aspects of an individual's life and where even the mildly rebellious are severely punished. SWAC is even more draconian. It is "a large-scale collaborative effort among public and private authorities, facility owners, contractors, and labor organizations who ...

Year Zero - OFFF Barcelona 2011 Main Titles
Following in the footsteps of Prologue Films and The Mill, PostPanic have created this year’s prestigious opening titles 'Year Zero' for OFFF Festival 2011 in Barcelona http://offf.ws/bcn2011/
Written by Mischa Rozema and British graphic designer, Si Scott, the opening titles reflect their dark thoughts on a possible future. Directed by Mischa and shot on location in Prague, the film guides the viewer through a grim scenario embedded with the names of artists appearing at this year’s OFFF festival. The live action was brought back to Amsterdam for post, primarily carried out by PostPanic’s in-house team of artists but also with the additional help of freelancers and partner companies that we have enjoyed strong creative relationships with over the years. It’s really fair to say that this was a labour of love by a passionate crew of people.
DIRECTOR'S NOTES (By Mischa Rozema)
This project started out as a collaboration between myself and Si Scott. Right from the start, we decided that it should be the darkest thing we could make. I think it just felt natural to the both of us; if we had to nail the future, it would not be a nice place.
This idea evolved into a clash of times. Inspired by an idea from the late Arthur C. Clarke. He wrote about different historical civilizations meeting in a single point in time. So what happens when civilizations meet? The 'weaker' one gets eaten by the 'stronger'. You only have to look at history to see the destructive power of civilizations.
So the main underlying idea is: what would happen if the future lands on our doorstep today? Let's take mankind, add perhaps 100 years and then let them show up on our doorstep today. The future would pretty much devour the present. Probably in a matter of, let's say, 7 days… So that's what we're looking at. But every ending also means a new beginning, hence Year Zero.
There's all kinds of hidden messages in there. Like the virus eating away at reality, buildings and people, even at the viewers brain. It's behaving off course much like a computer virus. And the network of wires represents the future of social networking. I just made it physical and let it 'catch' the city and it's people like a net. All these ideas just serve as inspiration for us to create a future that worked for this concept. They're not meant to be deciphered by the audience. It's still meant to be just a title sequence and not an actual movie.
Now what makes a good title sequence? Personally, I think it's something that gets you in the mood, warms you up for what you're about to experience, be it a film, tv series or in our case, the OFFF festival. We decided to treat the OFFF festival as a feature film experience. So all we had to do was get the viewer into the right state of mind. Without, of course, being too narrative led. The best title sequences out there are nothing but a random collection of images/scenes that don't tell a lot if you watch them on their own. But edit them together and a new context is created. A context that matters, a feeling that gets the viewer ready for the main event, in our case, the festival.
To get started, the next thing we did was make a collection of ideas that would scare me and Si. So, anything drawn from our youth, right through to stuff that's inspired us over the years as well as seemingly random compositions that trigger the imagination of the viewer. For example, when we show you the aesthetics of a car explosion, it's carefully constructed. Why a car and not something else? Because an exploding car brings extra content to an otherwise simple aesthetic display of violence. A car doesn't explode by itself so instantly the brain tries to formulate the background behind it. It adds an either political or criminal edge to the violence. To me it felt appropriate because of the sense of protest and rebellion the shot has. And maybe the biggest question; was there someone in the car and if so, who was it? For me, every idea should provoke these kind of questions; from a girl in a prom dress holding a rocket launcher to a riot cop standing in the kitchen. All scenes have a pre and post story to them. In no time you're actually trying to connect these seemingly random scenes and boom; you've just created your own strange context. You now have a feeling, a taste and lots of questions probably. Questions that normally would be answered by watching the actual movie. But since there's no actual movie here we'll leave stranded with, hopefully, an uncomfortable feeling and lots of questions - some might feel unsatisfied and wondering why. Just like a nightmare.
We also wanted the actual titles to be different this time. Most of the time festival titles are driven by the idea on how to show titles. A mechanism that displays titles in a creative way. We actually thought to bring the festival theme to the foreground and have the titles play a part in it. Incorporate them so they become the actual fiber/texture of the

Augmented Reality Toys.v1 (Work in progress)
Apparently, my project is very controversial. That is why I have to answer, and make things clearer about my project and its aims.
The aim of this project is to make the frontier between video game and toy gaming progressively disappear by offering a new type of gaming experience linking both sides.
Following the researches of Trond Nielsen in Augmented Reality gaming, I listed some important points which directly guided me to my final concept:
War gaming has two essential elements that are missing in computer war games:
• “First, computer war gaming lacks support for the social aspect of traditional table top war gaming. […]”
• “Second, war gaming is both a hobby of gaming and a hobby of modeling. Some players gain a great deal of satisfaction out of painstakingly assembling and painting an army. […]”
“With augmented reality, designers can build games that draw elements from traditional real world games and modern computer games. This is particularly clear in strategy games, where the strengths and limitations of both platforms are complementary.”
Nilsen, T., Linton, S., & Looser, J. (2004, June 26-29). Motivations for augmented reality gaming. In Proc. of the New Zealand Game Developers Conference (pp. 86-93).
After having studied theses aspects I decided to follow the direction of tabletop game and imagine how we could merge strategy video games and toys.
Therefore, I defined some important objectives to be reached with my concept game.
Objectives:
• Merging the best of tangible toys with the best of video games.
• Keeping the tangible toy with its emotional value as a base.
• Giving a new lease of life to toys.
• Enhancing the toy capabilities thanks to the advantages provided by the Augmented Reality Technology.
• Introducing a part of imagination in the game essential for the user immersion.
• Interacting with the game through a Augmented Reality tangible user interface (AR TUI).
• Assisting players through the game mechanics & rules with a software support to focus on the game content.
• Transforming drawbacks of AR system into parts of gameplay rules.
I want to show through this project that children, teenagers, and even older people, could get off the screen and play everywhere, in a children room, even in the backyard (wireless is possible). In the game Army Men, the virtual characters evolve in a virtual environment that looks like a real house. I propose here to go a step further by using the actual environment of the player to make it the world in which the characters of the game evolve.
• http://www.gametronik.com/site/rubriques/n64/Jeux/Army%20Men%20-%20Sarge%27s%20Heroes%202/Army%20Men%20-%20Sarge%27s%20Heroes%202.jpg
Children could still use their imagination and creativity to develop strategic skills by setting up the tangible environment and imagine a kind of battlefield like they already do with, e.g., Warhammers. With my project they could play not only on a Warhammer table but everywhere they want and use every object of the real environment as a part of the game, e.g., using a shoebox for a wall, hiding behind a plant to protect the toy, etc.
Children like to customise their toys, and that is why I kept the emotional value of the toy at the centre of this project. They could also enhance the capabilities the toys through virtual features, bringing them to life, somehow.
The gameplay of Warhammer is really complex and almost requires reading a book, while strategy video games assist players through rules and game mechanics. This virtual gameplay could be transposed to tangible games and thus virtually enrich the user gaming experience with rewards, goals, downloadable games and by increasing the immersion through virtual sounds and special effects. We could imagine that on the same system they would create stories and levels as in the game Little Big Planet and share it to others on an online community. I am envisioning that players could connect online and share their experiences, objects, advices, tricks, etc and be rated by others, etc.
I am not trying to make a Bloodwar game here. I am just thinking about how we could merge Gaming with toys and gaming with video game and create a new gaming experience taking advantages of both. For this I am making a prototype which is a crossover between Warhammer and Armymen.
The use of the Lego minifig in my demo merely is an example and is there is no political view in this. I am actually working with simple figures for technical reasons. I need the 3D virtual model corresponding to the original to make an occlusion between tangible object and virtual things and be able to display virtual objects behind real ones which is completely impossible otherwise.
For the technical question, I am using Head Mounted Display (It is still a screen, I know…) but soon technology will be almost as natural as wearing sunglasses. Once this

Introducing.....The European Spallation Source
Sir Patrick Stewart presents a fascinating introduction to the European Spallation Source - one of Europe's most advanced and exciting scientific projects.
For the past 2 decades Europe has been designing and planning the ESS, a major science facility that will provide the world's most intense beams of neutrons for the study of the structure and dynamics of materials at the atomic level.
ESS has been described as the Hubble telescope of neutron sources, probing deep into materials with unprecedented clarity. It will be one of the most important and prestigious scientific research facilities in the world, enabling developments as diverse and as significant as drug design....new magnetic materials for data storage...super strong, super light ceramics for engineering.... biocompatible materials for repairing our fragile bodies.......hydrogen fuel for clean transport ......innovative processes for capturing carbon.... the list is endless.
Professor Sir Patrick Stewart, OBE, Chancellor of the University of Huddersfield in the UK and world-famous Shakespearian actor and star of science-fiction films such as Star Trek and X-Men, presents the movie which was funded by ESFRI FP7 grant agreement No 202247 "NeutronSourceESS".

Shivabalayogi his Mission
Shivabalayogi attained Self realization through twelve years of meditation in samadhi (enlightenment). For three decades he traveled throughout India, then 1988-1991 in the West, making the powers inherent in God realization available to awaken spiritual awareness in others. His verbal teaching is to encourage us to meditate so we can know the truth for ourselves. This introduction explains some of the ways he gives blessings and spiritual experiences: darshan (his presence), vibhuti (blessed ash), initiation into meditation, bhajans (spiritual song), bhava samadhi (divine trance) and prashad (blessed food). California Girls [HD] - David Lee Roth
Groovy! "California Girls" is a song by American rock band The Beach Boys, featured on their ninth studio album Summer Days (And Summer Nights!!) (1965). Written by band-members Brian Wilson (who conceived the song during an LSD trip) and Mike Love, the song features contrasting verse-chorus form. Upon its release as a single, "California Girls" reached #3 on the Billboard Hot 100. It is one of The Beach Boys' most famous songs and has been included on countless greatest hits compilations. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame included the song in its list of the "500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll". In 2004, Rolling Stone magazine ranked it 71st on its list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. David Lee Roth covered the song on his 1985 EP Crazy from the Heat (with background vocals contributed by Beach Boy Carl Wilson along with Christopher Cross), and like the original it topped at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100, which was the same position that the Beach Boys original version reached twenty years prior to Roth's cover. Crazy from the Heat was released while Roth was still a member of Van Halen. All four songs on the EP are cover versions. David Lee Roth (born October 10, 1954) is an American rock vocalist, songwriter, actor, author, and former radio personality. Roth was ranked nineteenth by Hit Parader on their list of the 100 Greatest Heavy Metal Singers of All Time. Roth is best known as the original and current lead singer of the southern California-based hard rock ...

The Doors- Light My Fire [Live at the Roundhouse]
"Light My Fire" is a song originally performed by The Doors which was recorded in August 1966 and released the first week of January 1967. It spent three weeks at #1 on the Billboard's Hot 100, and one week on the Cashbox Top 100. It was re-released in 1968, peaking at #87. The song was largely written by Robby Krieger, and credited to the entire band. A live version was released in 1983 on their album Alive, She Cried, the first of several live or compilation albums released in subsequent decades to include the song. "Light My Fire" also achieved modest success in Australia, where it peaked at #22 on the ARIA chart. The single originally reached #49 in the UK in 1967, but experienced belated success in that country in 1991 when a re-issue peaked at #7. The re-issue occurred on the back of revived interest in the band following Oliver Stone's film biopic "The Doors". The single has been certified in 1967 a gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.[1] The song is #35 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.[2] It was also included in the Songs of the Century list and was ranked number 7 in VH1's 100 Greatest Songs of All Time list. José Feliciano's cover version won a 1969 Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, the same year he won another Grammy for Best New Artist.
