Lieutenant General Hamid Nawaz Khan, HI(M), is a career Pakistan Army soldier who served as Federal Interior Minister from November 2007 to April 2008 and Defence Secretary of Pakistan from 2001 to 2005. He also held Chair positions at Pakistan International Airlines, the Civil Aviation Authority and the Fauji Foundation.

Hamid Nawaz Khan is a commerce graduate with honours from Punjab University and M.Sc. in War Studies from Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad. He was commissioned in the army in 1966 and served for 34 years, where he was the chief of staff in a Corps Headquarters and Instructor in Command and Staff College, Quetta and National Defence University, Islamabad. He commanded the 33rd Infantry Division at Quetta for three years (1995–1998), served as Chief Instructor of Armed Forces War College at the then National Defense College, Islamabad (1998–2000). He was then promoted to Lieutenant General in March 2000 and posted as the Vice Chief of the General Staff (VCGS) from where he retired in March 2001.

Syed Zaiduzzaman Hamid, better known as Zaid Hamid, is a Pakistani security consultant and political commentator. His byline in newspaper articles has been Zaid Zaman.

Zaid was born in Karachi, in 1964. His father, Col. Zaman Hamid (Retd), served in the Pakistan Army. Zaid spent his early life in Karachi. He received a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer Systems Engineering from NED University, Karachi in 1980's.

Through his TV programmes, Hamid has claimed that a nexus between India's RAW, the CIA and is responsible for the destabilization of Pakistan. He also claims that the November 2008 Mumbai attacks, were part of a plan hatched by "Hindu Zionists"", and that it was an attempt by the Indians to stage an attack just like the Americans executed the September 11 attacks.

A number of noted Pakistani journalists, writers and Islamic scholars have criticized Hamid and have described his views on politics and security as conspiracy theories.

Nawaz Sharif (Punjabi, Urdu: نواز شریف; born December 5, 1949) is a Pakistani steel magnate and national conservative, serving as the 12th Prime Minister of Pakistan in two non-consecutive terms from November 1990 to July 1993, and from February 1997 until October 12, 1999. He is the President of the Pakistan Muslim League-N, the Centre-right-conservative political force in Pakistan.

Before becoming the Prime minister, Sharif served as the ninth Chief Minister of Punjab Province from 1985 to 1990 and embarked his political career under the military regime of President General Zia-ul-Haq. An advocate and businessman, he owns Ittefaq Group, a private steel mill enterprise and one of the largest producer of iron materials, noted as being as Pakistan's one of the wealthiest investor in the steel mill business. His political philosophy emphasized and reflected conservatism advocating for the free-market economy, capitalism as its economic base. His first term survived a serious constitutional crisis when President Ghulam Ishaq Khan attempted to dismissed Sharif by citing "corruption and nepotism", which Sharif strongly denied and turned to Supreme Court. The apex Supreme Court of Pakistan favored the Prime minister citing that Presidential ordnance as "unconstitutional and irrelevant", therefore the government was reconstituted. His first term was finally dismissed after the Pakistan Armed Forces persuaded him to resign to end the political standoff with President Ishaq Khan, which he too was forced to resigned.

Hamid Ali Khan is a Pakistani classical singer. He belongs to the legendary Patiala gharana. He is considered to be one of the Last Great Patiala Legends. He represents an era of "Pure" Music. He is one of the most sought after classical singers in [Pakistan]. Ustad Hamid Ali Khan was born in 1953. Being a distinguished representative of the Patiala Gharana, Ustad Hamid Ali Khan Saheb is one of the finest exponents of Ghazal and classical singing alike. He is considered to be the leading example of one of Hindustani music's most famous traditions of classical singing. He has released several records and besides performing with other famous Indian artists, he has also collaborated with many UK based international artists, some of the recent ones being Partha Sarathi Mukherjee (Tabla) and Fida Hussain (Harmonium). With his voice, Ustad Hamid Ali Khan possesses a gift which only few other contemporary singers in the Indian subcontinent possess

Hamid Ali joins his brother, Amanat Ali Khan, by also winning the Pride of Performance Award, presented by the government of Pakistan. Hamid Ali Khan was presented several awards for lifetime achievement in the field of Classical music in his tour of India in 2007. He is one of the only Pakistani Artists to have won the Presidential Award on more than once occasion. After the Death of Amanat Ali Khan and poor health conditions of Ustad Fateh ALi Khan , Ustad Hamid ALi Khan is considered by many to be the last of the Great Patiala Legends.

Hamid Mir (Urdu: حامد مير, born July 23, 1966) is a Pakistani journalist and editor. He is also a news anchor, terrorism expert, and security analyst who regularly participates in international conferences. He is also known for his columns in Urdu, Hindi, Bengali, and English newspapers and hosts a popular political talk show on Geo TV with the name of Capital Talk. He was banned from TV by the military regime of General Pervez Musharraf in 2007. He was again banned by the Zardari-led Pakistan Peoples Party's (PPP) government in June 2008.

Mir was born in Lahore, Punjab. He educated there and completed his Matric examination from University Laboratory School New Campus and Government Central Model School. He received his intermediate degree from Government Science College and his Bachelor of Arts (B.A) degree from Government College. He earned his Master of Arts (M.A) in mass communications from the University of Punjab in 1989. He played cricket but left the sport after the sudden death of his father.
