  West Germany (German: Westdeutschland) is the common English name for the Federal Republic of Germany or FRG (German: Bundesrepublik Deutschland) in the period between its creation in May 1949 to German reunification on 3 October 1990.
  During this period, West Germany and the communist East Germany were divided by the Inner German border. After 1961, West Berlin was physically separated from East Berlin as well as from East Germany by the Berlin Wall. This situation ended when East Germany was dissolved and its five states joined the ten states of the Federal Republic of Germany along with the reunified city-state of Berlin. The enlarged Federal Republic of Germany with sixteen states (known simply as "Germany") is thus the continuation of the pre-1990 Federal Republic of Germany.
  The Federal Republic of Germany was established from eleven states formed in the three Allied Zones of occupation held by the United States, the United Kingdom and France (the "Western Zones"). The city of Bonn was its provisional capital city. The fourth Allied occupation zone (the East Zone, or Ostzone) was held by the Soviet Union. The parts of this zone lying east of the Oder-Neisse were in fact annexed by the Soviet Union and communist Poland; the remaining central part around Berlin became the communist German Democratic Republic (abbreviated GDR; in German Deutsche Demokratische Republik or DDR) with its de facto capital in East Berlin. Television credits include continuing roles on M.A.N.T.I.S., Forever Knight, Madison, Love on the Run (1994), Street Justice, Mom P.I., 21 Jump Street, Huckleberry Finn and His Friends, RoboCop and his role as host of the seven-part series Diversity. Individual television episodic credits include the series The X-Files, The Outer Limits, Supernatural, Kung Fu, North of 60, The Round Table, Hat Squad, Scene of The Crime, Booker, Wiseguy, MacGyver, Walt Disney's Davy Crockett, Blue's Folly, Stargate SG-1, Jack, and Fringe.

  Brent Stait (born September 9, 1959) is a Canadian actor, best known for his roles as Rev Bem in the science fiction television series Andromeda and Louis Ferretti in Stargate SG-1. He was born in Snow Lake, Manitoba.
  Though it is commonly said that Stait left Andromeda due to an allergic reaction to the prosthetics his character required, a 2011 interview revealed his departure was motivated by "physical exhaustion" from wearing the full Rev Bem costume.
  Stait substituted for the body of Michael Kenmore in his Wraith form in the Stargate Atlantis episode "Allies", though Connor Trinneer continued to provide the voice. Trinneer returned to the full role after this singular episode as shown in "The Kindred (Part 1)".
  Stait played DC Comics superhero Dr. Fate in Smallville: Absolute Justice. The movie takes place inside the events of the ninth season of the Superman prequel series Smallville. The first live action appearance of the character. In the movie, Fate will be allied with fellow members of the Justice Society and come into conflict (and later align) with the Justice League.   Douglas Christopher Judge (born October 13, 1964) is an American actor best known for playing Teal'c in the Canadian-American military science fiction television series Stargate SG-1. He attended the University of Oregon on a football scholarship and was a Pacific Ten Conference player.
  Christopher Judge was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He has one younger brother, Jeff Judge, also an actor. Judge harbored the desire to become an actor at an early age, studying drama in high school. "The television set was my babysitter growing up. I can remember wanting to invoke the feelings that I was getting from television—I wanted to be the one who was the catalyst for those feelings in other people. Performing was something I've always known I was going to do." He always knew that sports would be a stepping stone to an acting career.
  Judge received a scholarship from the University of Oregon and played defensive back and safety for the Ducks from 1982 to 1985. He led in kickoff return yardage for 1983-84 and interceptions in 1984, and earned the Casanova Award in 1982, given to the freshman or newcomer of the year. While at Oregon, Judge was a three time All American, a Pacific-10 Conference Selection in 1984 and played in the 1985 Hula Bowl.

  Frank Giustra is a Canadian business executive, who has been particularly successful in the mining and filmmaking industries, and is a noted philanthropist.
  Giustra was born in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada in 1957, and lived in Italy and Argentina as a child. Giustra spent his middle school years in Aldergrove, British Columbia, Canada, and graduated high school there in 1976. Giustra's father was a Sudbury nickel miner, who introduced his son to his broker. He graduated in 1979 from Douglas College where he spent his first year playing trumpet in the school's music program before switching over to business and finance.
  Giustra took a securities course and began his career in the investment industry in 1978 with Merrill Lynch as an assistant trader and then a stockbroker. In the early 1980s, Giustra left Merrill Lynch to create a resources-financing group in Europe for the new firm Yorkton Securities. He is said to have "transformed Yorkton into a major force in the world of international mining finance." In 1990, he became President of the company and, in 1995, was appointed Chairman and CEO. From 2001 to 2007, Giustra was Chair of Endeavour Financial, a merchant banking firm which financed mining companies. Mr. Giustra is now Chief Executive Officer of Fiore Financial Corporation, an exclusive advisory services provider to Endeavour Mining Corporation, a gold mining company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

  Georges Delerue (12 March 1925 – 20 March 1992) was a French composer who composed over 350 scores for cinema and television. Delerue won numerous important film music awards, including an Academy Award for A Little Romance (1980), three César Awards (1979, 1980, 1981), two ASCAP Awards (1988, 1990), and one Gemini Award for Sword of Gideon (1987). He was also nominated for four additional Academy Awards for Anne of the Thousand Days (1969), The Day of the Dolphin (1973), Julia (1977), and Agnes of God (1985), four additional César Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, and one Genie Award for Black Robe (1991).
  The French newspaper Le Figaro named him "the Mozart of cinema." Delerue was the first composer to win three consecutive César Awards for Get Out Your Handkerchiefs (1979), Love on the Run (1980), and The Last Metro (1981). Georges Delerue was named Commander of Arts and Letters, one of France's highest honours.
  Georges Delerue was born 12 March 1925 in Roubaix, France to Georges Delerue and Marie Lhoest. He was raised in a musical household; his grandfather lead an amateur chorale group and his mother sang and played piano at family gatherings. By the age of fourteen he was playing clarinet at the local music conservatory. In 1940 he was forced to abandon his studies at the Turgot Institute in order to work at a factory to help support his family. He continued playing clarinet with local bands, eventually transitioning to piano under the instruction of Madame Picavet-Bacquart. He studied Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, and Grieg, and was particularly inspired by Richard Strauss. Following a long convalescence after being diagnosed with scoliosis, Georges decided to become a composer.

  Gordon Weaver (born 1937) is an award-winning American novelist and short story writer.
  Born in Moline, Illinois, the fifth of the five children of Noble Rodell Weaver and Inez Katherine Nelson, his family moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1941. He graduated from Wauwatosa High School in 1955. After three years service in the United States Army (1955–1958), he graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee in 1961, from the University of Illinois with a MA in 1962, and from the University of Denver with a Ph.D. in 1970. He taught at Siena College 1963-1965, Marietta College 1965-1968, University of Southern Mississippi 1970–1975, Oklahoma State University 1975–1995, Vermont College1983-1989,and University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee 1996–2000.
  He was founding Editor of the Mississippi Review, Fiction Editor and Editor of Cimarron Review 1975–86, Managing Editor of the AWP (Association of Writers & Writing Programs) Award Series for Short Fiction 1977–79, and the General Editor of the Twayne Studies in Short Fiction (Twayne Publishers, Boston/New York) (1986–1997) .

  Ken Douglas, ONZ (born 1934) is New Zealand's best known contemporary trade union leader.
  As President of the New Zealand Council of Trade Unions until 1999 Douglas led the union movement in New Zealand for over fifteen years. His union career started in the Driver's Union. He was also leader of the Socialist Unity Party in the 1970s and 1980s and stood for Parliament on occasion never gaining more than 100 votes in the Porirua electorate.
  Since his retirement from the CTU Douglas has been active in local politics as a Porirua City Councilor (1998-), Porirua Licensing Trustee (2001-) and elected member of the Capital and Coast District Health Board (2004-). Douglas has served on board of Air NZ, NZ Post, NZ Trade and Enterprise, New Zealand Rugby Union and Healthcare NZ. Ken married Lesley and they had four children, Jane, Peter, Helen and John.
  An acknowledged Marxist, Douglas has moved to the right over the last two decades and currently sits on the New Zealand Post and NZRU Boards. He is also chairperson of Positively Wellington Business and a board member of the Asia NZ Foundation.

  Fishburne was born in Augusta, Georgia, the son of Hattie Bell (née Crawford), a junior high school mathematics and science teacher, and Laurence John Fishburne, Jr., a juvenile corrections officer. His parents divorced during his childhood, and he moved with his mother to Brooklyn, New York, where he was raised. Fishburne's father saw him once a month.   Beach was born in Roxbury, Massachusetts, of Cape Verdean descent. He attended the prestigious Noble & Greenough School in Dedham, Massachusetts on scholarship from ABC (A Better Chance). More recently, he has been known for his recurring role as Colonel Ellis in Stargate Atlantis.

  Ramon Luis "Ray" Estevez (born August 7, 1963), sometimes billed as Ramon Sheen, is an American actor, director and runs Estevez Sheen Productions.
  Ramon Estevez is the second of four children born to actor Martin Sheen. His siblings are actors Emilio Estevez, Charlie Sheen and Renée Estevez. His father is of Spanish and Irish descent.
  Estevez's movies include The Dead Zone (1983), That Was Then... This Is Now (1985) and Cadence (1990). In Cadence, he played a sycophantic "spineless corporal" to the stockade's commanding officer. Estevez was disguised in Cadence as a funny guard who wore glasses and "his hat most of the time" to prevent being recognized as Charlie Sheen's brother.
  In 1992, Estevez appeared in The Last P.O.W.? The Bobby Garwood Story.
  He appeared in Diamond Rio's 1996 video, "It's All in Your Head", and has written songs for Diamond Rio. Estevez's plays include a 1982 Burt Reynolds Dinner Theatre performance in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

  Richard Leiterman (March 7, 1935 - July 14, 2005) was a well-known Canadian cinematographer, best known for documentary and feature film work in the 1960s and 1970s. His cinéma vérité, or direct camera, style helped define Canadian cinema at the time.
  Born in the small town of South Porcupine in northern Ontario in 1935, Leiterman grew up in Vancouver, where he spent his young years working as a waste collector, beachcomber and truck driver. During his mid-20's, he was encouraged by his brother-in-law, Allan King, to take a camera technician course at the University of British Columbia.
  Leiterman took to the film camera like a natural. He sold his car to buy a 16mm camera, and proceeded to shoot stock footage, which he then sold to Canadian broadcasters like the CBC. Hired by Allan King as a second camera operator on a documentary, Leiterman went to London and, in 1962, co-founded Allan King Associates with him. The company focussed on news-related filmmaking. In 1963, Leiterman went to the Southern U.S. to shoot One More River, a look at racism in America. Over the next few years, his documentary work took him around the world.

  Roark Grant Critchlow (born May 11, 1963) is a Canadian actor, best known for appearing on the daytime US soap opera Days of our Lives from 1994 to 1999 as Dr. Mike Horton. Critchlow currently has a recurring role on the science fiction TV show V and on ABC Family's breakout-hit "Pretty Little Liars", where he has the role as Tom Marin (Hanna Marin's father).
  Critchlow was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He was a theater major at the University of Victoria, and married Maria Brewer in 1990, with whom he produced and co-starred in Making it Home. Roark and Maria have three children: Jara Shea, Reign, and Credence. Roark and Maria divorced in 2006.
