Il Monte Pasubio, evocato e illustrato dal Professore di Storia Claudio Gattera, non ha una strada dietro di sé, e neanche una direzione o una traiettoria: è un’unica via dolorosa dove il ricordo non è più prodotto del paesaggio, ma è il paesaggio stesso. Tagliare le sue arterie, sfilando lettere e nomi appartenenti a soldati che finirono qui, significa avvertire il respiro - lo stesso rispetto a cento anni fa - di quelle vette non troppo distanti che furono teatro di carneficine e scontri tra nemici, in una porzione di territorio che ancora oggi mostra chiaramente l’orrore del conflitto. Tra denti e gallerie, croci e baratri, su tutto parla una vecchia scritta: “Da qui non si passa”…

Die Hochebenen der Sieben Gemeinden (Trentino / Veneto) warem im 1. Weltkrieg von 1915 - 1918 schwerten Kämpfen ausgesetzt. es wird geschätzt, dass insgesamt über 800.000 Kämpfer ihr Leben liesen. Nach der Frühjahrsoffensive 1916 wurde der Monte PWeisse Krieg, Provincia di Vicenca, Provincia di Trentinoasubio in das Geschehen miteinbezogen. Zig tausend Soldaten auf der Seite der Österreicher und Italiener verloren dort ihr Leben, sei es in Lawinen begraben oder durch Sprengungen zerfetzt. Im Mittelpunkt stand der Gipfel, der sich in zwei Teile aufgliederte, dem Dente Italiano und dem dente Austriaco. Während die Italiener vom Val Pasubio und dem Passo Xomo / Pian delle Fugazze an die Front marschierten, mußten die Österreicher den sehr beschwerlichen Aufstieg über die Hochfläche und dem Passo di Borcola hinnehmen. Nel maggio/giugno 1916 gli Alpini del Battaglione Aosta furono impegnati sul Monte Zugna a sud di Rovereto, per contenere e fermare la Strafexpedition austriaca, successivamente a settembre il reparto fu impiegato per la conquista dell'altopiano del Cosmagnon sul Monte Pasubio. Lo scorso maggio e in settembre, abbiamo ripercorso quegli itinerari di guerra con ricercatori, storici del luogo e un reparto del Centro Addestramento Alpino di Aosta.

Cima Palon
Cima Palon, also called Monte Pasubio is the highest peak of the Pasubio group of Little Dolomites in Veneto, Italy. It has an elevation of 2,239 metres.
The Pasubio plateau is one of the most relevant Little Dolomites massifs, and it held a high strategic role during the Great War, since it represented the last defensive position of the Venetian Plain. In May 1916, after the Austrian Strafexpedition, an Italian contingent was urgently transferred from the Isonzo Front and under the command of General Achille Papa, they stopped the Austrian Army at Cima Palon.

La Prima Espresso Company
La Prima Espresso Company is a coffee roaster formerly on Smallman Street in Strip District neighborhood of Pittsburgh. In 2013, the roasting operation moved to a 4,000 square foot building 1500 Chateau Street in Manchester on the North Side. It is considered to be one of the "powerhouse local brands" in Pittsburgh. In addition to the 205 Twenty-first Street retail operation, La Prima operates a satellite coffee bar at Carnegie Mellon University's Wean Hall. Its coffee is also available in other local coffee shops. There had previously been a location near PPG Place. It offers organic options and is fair trade certified. As of 2008, it had remained the only such coffee roaster in Pittsburgh.
Owner Sam Patti opened La Prima on October 1, 1988. It also sells and repairs coffee equipment. In 2008, Patti opened Crêpes Napoleon and Josephine, a cafe with seating for 35, at 2107 Penn Avenue in the Strip District. The original location for the roasting operation had been in the long terminal building on the Allegheny River side of Smallman Street, along with the retail operation.

La Grande, Oregon
La Grande /ləˈɡrænd/ is a city in Union County, Oregon, United States. Originally named "Brownsville," it was forced to change its name because that name was already being used for a city in Linn County. Its current name comes from an early French settler, Charles Dause, who often used the phrase "La Grande" to describe the area's beauty. The population was 13,082 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Union County. La Grande lies east of the Blue Mountains and southeast of Pendleton.
History
Early settlement
The Grande Ronde Valley had long been a waypoint along the Oregon Trail. The first permanent settler in the La Grande area was Benjamin Brown in 1861. Not long after, the Leasey family and about twenty others settled there. The settlement was originally named after Ben Brown as Brown's Fort, Brown's Town, or Brownsville. There was already a Brownsville in Linn County, so when the post office was established in 1863, a more distinctive name was needed. It was decided to use "La Grande", a phrase used by a Frenchman, Charles Dause, to describe the area's scenic splendor. Before the post office was established, William Currey charged 50 cents a letter to carry the mail on horseback to and from the nearest post office, in Walla Walla, Washington. La Grande was incorporated as a city in 1865, and platted in 1868.

Pasubio mit dem Mountainbike ist eine wunderbare MTB-Rundtour der Extraklasse. Die Tour ist technisch nicht schwierig, die Anstiege nirgends wirklich steil. Für alle Biker, die sich zutrauen, 1000 Höhenmeter zu überwinden, ist die Runde ein Leckerbissen, der durch atemberaubende Fernsicht und spektakuläre Linienführung der alten Militärstrasse belohnt wird. Die traurige Geschichte des Berges ist aber nach wie vor spürbar. Wer die Strassen mit Achtung und Respekt befährt und beim Denkmal der 'Strada delle 52 Galerie' eine Gedenkminute einlegt, hat nach unserer Meinung der trüben Vergangenheit genügend Rechnung getragen und darf sich guten Gewissens am Pasubio freuen. Die Hochebenen der Sieben Gemeinden (Trentino / Veneto) warem im 1. Weltkrieg von 1915 - 1918 schwerten Kämpfen ausgesetzt. es wird geschätzt, dass insgesamt über 800.000 Kämpfer ihr Leben liesen. Nach der Frühjahrsoffensive 1916 wurde der Monte PWeisse Krieg, Provincia di Vicenca, Provincia di Trentinoasubio in das Geschehen miteinbezogen. Zig tausend Soldaten auf der Seite der Österreicher und Italiener verloren dort ihr Leben, sei es in Lawinen begraben oder durch Sprengungen zerfetzt. Im Mittelpunkt stand der Gipfel, der sich in zwei Teile aufgliederte, dem Dente Italiano und dem dente Austriaco. Während die Italiener vom Val Pasubio und dem Passo Xomo / Pian delle Fugazze an die Front marschierten, mußten die Österreicher den sehr beschwerlichen Aufstieg über die Hochfläche und dem Passo di Borcola hinnehmen. Nel maggio/giugno 1916 gli Alpini del Battaglione Aosta furono impegnati sul Monte Zugna a sud di Rovereto, per contenere e fermare la Strafexpedition austriaca, successivamente a settembre il reparto fu impiegato per la conquista dell'altopiano del Cosmagnon sul Monte Pasubio. Lo scorso maggio e in settembre, abbiamo ripercorso quegli itinerari di guerra con ricercatori, storici del luogo e un reparto del Centro Addestramento Alpino di Aosta.

Für alle Biker, die sich zutrauen, 1000 Höhenmeter zu überwinden, ist die Runde ein Leckerbissen, der durch atemberaubende Fernsicht und spektakuläre Linienführung der alten Militärstrasse belohnt wird. Die traurige Geschichte des Berges ist aber nach wie vor spürbar. Wer die Strassen mit Achtung und Respekt befährt und beim Denkmal der 'Strada delle 52 Galerie' eine Gedenkminute einlegt, hat nach unserer Meinung der trüben Vergangenheit genügend Rechnung getragen und darf sich guten Gewissens am Pasubio freuen.

Machu Picchu es considerada al mismo tiempo una obra maestra de la arquitectura y la ingeniería 5. Está en la lista del Patrimonio de la Humanidad desde 1983. Sus peculiares características arquitectónicas y paisajísticas y el velo de misterio que ha tejido a su alrededor buena parte de la literatura publicada sobre el sitio, lo han convertido en uno de los destinos turísticos más populares del mundo 6 y el principal de Perú, donde es un ícono nacional.

Machu Picchu is probably the most familiar symbol of the Inca Empire. Since 1983 the site has been designated as a United Nations Educational World Heritage Site.
It is thought that the city was built by the Sapa Inca Pachacuti, starting in about 1440, and was inhabited until the Spanish conquest of Peru in 1532. Archaeological evidence (together with recent work on early colonial documents) shows that Machu Picchu was not a conventional city, but a country retreat town for Inca nobility (similar to the Roman villas). The site has a large palace and temples dedicated to Inca deities around a courtyard, with other buildings for support staff. At the chosen location of the start of the Land of Giants Expedition (9 July 3303 - 9 August 3303) is a cluster of Water Geysers. Dotted around these geysers are some crystalline growths. These can be found in the forms of crystalline fragments and crystalline clusters. These crystal structures are often found growing where the local volcanic activity breaks the surface. In addition, some of these geysers have enough force to launch an SRV over 2km off the surface of this icy moon.

Cable viewers in several markets across the state are being treated to ads by an obscure self-described "alternative conservative" super PAC called the Empower Citizens Network. One of the group's ads accuses Obama and Democrats of imploding the economy by forcing mortgage companies to lend to "unqualified borrowers" while the Soviet national anthem plays. Another promises welfare recipients that "Republicans can save your money source" by reducing regulations on business.
And then there's the ad which one viewer told TPM is airing in the Columbus area on cable. Our source caught it a couple of times on MSNBC. That ad is the Empower Citizens Network spot that tells African Americans it's a "lie" that Democrats support them and cites the Emancipation Proclamation as evidence."* Cenk Uygur, Michael Shure (Current TV Political Correspondent) and John Iadarola (Host, TYT University) break down the ridiculous ad and its condescending message, poorly reasoned argument, and all-around bad execution.
