1992 AFC Divisional Playoff Closing (Miami vs. San Diego).wmv
(c)1993 NFL; NBC Sports Only thing I have from the 1992 season; and it was a shock to run into this. This was the tail end of the closing of NBC coverage of the 1992 AFC Divisional Playoff match on January 10, 1993 between the AFC East champion Miami Dolphins (#2 seed) and San Diego Chargers (#3 seed; AFC West title -- first postseason appearance for the Bolts in a decade). The video picks up with OJ Simpson interviewing rookie Dolphin cornerback Troy Vincent (who had 2 interceptions in the game). We then go to the New York NFL Live! studio with Bob Costas, Will McDonough and then-recently-fired Chicago Bears head coach Mike Ditka (who makes a quick comment about the NFC Championship game the following week between the San Francisco 49ers and eventual Super Bowl champion Dallas Cowboys), then Bob teases the AFC match between the Dolphins and Buffalo Bills (the last time the Fins, Shula or Marino would get this close to a Super Bowl as well as the only conference championship to be held at Joe Robbie/SunLife/insert name here Stadium) as well as the NBC lineup of Secret Service (short-lived action show based on real Secret Service cases and hosted by Steven Ford {son of former President Gerald}); I-Witness Video and the Sunday movie "Elvis and the Colonel: The Untold Story" (focusing on the King of Rock and Roll's early career and the influence of his manager; the somewhat mysterious Colonel Tom Parker); then says goodnight for the crew (mentioning Todd Christensen as well ...

Packers opening day 1993
Packers opening day 1993
LA Rams at GB. Opening day of the 1993 NFL season. Packers won this game 36-6 and went on to play (and lose) in the NFC divisional playoff game that year. I found this when I was copying old home movies to DVD a couple years ago. I was notorious for copying over stuff with my camcorder, but this somehow survived. I know it's totally different for me to put a football video on Youtube, but this is pretty fun. Not only to see Favre back then, but there are also some pretty funny commercials.

NFL 1993: Superbowl XXVII Bills v Cowboys.
NFL 1993: Superbowl XXVII Bills v Cowboys.
Super Bowl XXVII was played on January 31, 1993 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, to decide the NFL champion following the1992 regular season. The NFC champion Dallas Cowboys (16-3) defeated the AFC champion Buffalo Bills (14-6), 52--17 (a then-record 69 combined points). The Cowboys won their third Super Bowl in team history, and their first one in fifteen years. The Bills became the first team to lose three consecutive Super Bowls, and just the second team to play in three straight (the Miami Dolphins played in Super Bowls VI-VIII, winning VII and VIII). This is also the first time that three teams from the same division have each won a Super Bowl within one year of each other (The Cowboys NFC East rivals, the New York Giants and the Washington Redskins won the previous two Super Bowls XXV and XXVI respectively.)

NFL Greatest Teams Season Week 16 on Tecmo Super Bowl
NFL Greatest Teams Season Week 16 on Tecmo Super Bowl
Here's the concept. I created a rom edit of the SNES version of Tecmo Super Bowl to have the best team of 28 different franchises. The games are being simulated with a special schedule (All conference teams play each other, then 3 non-conference games) This series of videos will show highlights from the games that come as a result of CPU vs CPU simulation. This is Week 16, the final week of the season. The first 4 games are non playoff implication games (Skip to around 1:45 if these games don't matter to you): 99 Tennessee Titans vs 05 Seattle Seahawks 88 Cincinnati Bengals vs 06 New Orleans Saints 69 Kansas City Chiefs vs 04 Philadelphia Eagles 02 Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs 68 New York Jets. The games with playoff implications are as follows: 94 San Diego Chargers vs 91 Detroit Lions 98 Atlanta Falcons vs 87 Cleveland Browns 99 St. Louis Rams vs 00 Baltimore Ravens 96 Green Bay Packers vs 98 Denver Broncos 98 Minnesota Vikings vs 06 Indianapolis Colts 89 San Francisco 49ers vs 07 New England Patriots 86 New York Giants vs 90 Buffalo Bills 91 Washington Redskins vs 76 Oakland Raiders 92 Dallas Cowboys vs 72 Miami Dolphins 85 Chicago Bears vs 78 Pittsburgh Steelers Final standings and the playoff teams are at the end of the video. Remember everyone, this whole concept is just for some fun while we're waiting for football season to actually start. Anything can happen in Tecmo Super Bowl, with player conditions and furthermore, it's a video game from 1993. To download this rom ...

1998 "NFL on CBS" Theme Music
This is the theme that CBS used when they returned to the NFL after a four year hiatus (from 1994-1997). It's basically a reworking of the 1992-1993 theme, only slower and more "synthetic" sounding. www.facebook.com
