The Gift - RGB
Buy album: shop.thegift.pt From the album "Explode" LYRICS What made you think that I'm in love with you? One hundred ways to be apart from you What made you think that I'm in love with you? One hundred ways to live my life It's true, it's absolutely true What made you think that I'm in love with you? One hundred ways to heal my heart, undo You painted all in grey And I'll be running out Red, green, blue it's true They make my life full of light flashing, now There's no dance in the dark Let the fireworks start Running to the stars Never gets you very far Follow me and then We'll go round and round again When you wait too long Just carry on Believing you're wrong If the world explodes right now I will hide you deep underground Leave you on the top of the biggest tree From there you can see the blue sea There's no dance in the dark Let the fireworks start Running to the stars Never gets you very far Follow me and then We'll go round and round again When you wait too long Just carry on 'Cause you're not alone Believing you're wrong There's a gun in my hand With seventy-eight keys If it points at your head Would you die for me? · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · · Credits: Carleton Ranney (Director/Producer), Real Sprague (Director of Photography), Destin Douglas (Camera), Andrew Jacobson (Producer). The Odd Life of Timothy Green - Glen Hansard "This Gift"
Now playing. Get tickets: di.sn Academy Award®--nominated director/writer Peter Hedges ("Dan in Real Life," What's Eating Gilbert Grape?") brings enchantment to the screen with "The Odd Life of Timothy Green," an inspiring, magical story about a happily married couple, Cindy and Jim Green (Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton), who can't wait to start a family but can only dream about what their child would be like. When young Timothy (CJ Adams) shows up on their doorstep one stormy night, Cindy and Jim—and their small town of Stanleyville—learn that sometimes the unexpected can bring some of life's greatest gifts. THE GIFT - Jim Brickman
[ For dmi! ] Winter snow is falling down Children laughing all around Lights are turning on like a fairy tale come true. Sitting by the fire we made You're the answer when i prayed I would find someone and baby I found you. All I want is to hold you forever All I need is you more every day You saved my heart from being broken apart You gave your love away and I'm thankful every day for the gift. Watching as you softly sleep What I'd give if I could keep Just this moment if only time stood still. But the colors fade away And the years will make us grey But baby in my eyes You'll still be beautiful. All I want is to hold you forever All I need is you more every day You saved my heart from being broken apart You gave your love away And I'm thankful every day for the gift. All I want is to hold you forever All I need is you more every day You saved my heart from being broken apart You gave your love away I can't find the words to say That I'm thankful every day for the gift.

The Gift (Bug Chasing Documentary) 01/05
Website: www.facebook.com Bugchasing is a slang term for the practice of pursuing sex with HIV infected individuals in order to contract HIV. Bugchasers may seek HIV infection for a variety of reasons. Bugchasers seek sexual partners who are HIV positive for the purpose of having unprotected sex and becoming HIV positive; giftgivers are HIV positive individuals who comply with the bugchaser's efforts to become infected with HIV. Bugchasers indicate various reasons for this activity. Some bugchasers engage in the activity for the excitement inherent in pursuing such a dangerous activity, but do not implicitly desire to contract HIV. Some researchers suggest that the behavior may stem from a "resistance to dominant heterosexual norms and mores" due to a defensive response by gay men to repudiate stigmatization and rejection by society Some men consider bugchasing "intensely erotic" and the act of being infected as the "ultimate taboo, the most extreme sex act left". A number of men who are HIV negative and in a relationship with someone who is HIV positive seek infection as a way to remain in the relationship, particularly when the HIV positive partner may wish to break up to avoid infecting the HIV negative partner Some workers in the US HIV community report that a number of younger men seek infection as a way to receive benefits, a "free ride," because they would qualify to receive Section 8, Social Security and other benefits from getting infected with HIV. Some contend ...

The Gift
Directed by Carl E. Rinsch, ‘The Gift’ Belongs to the "pararell Lines" Phillips Cinema campaning. Placed in Russia, The Gift is a Sci-Fi short with a savage Chase sequence on it. We made more than 20 full CGI shots for the short. Check out the animated pictures to see how it has been done. We also made the vechicles and some characters desings. We enjoyed creating such an unusual atmosphere and sense. Not the regular Sci-fi film we are used to see...

GRAVITY // UN RÊVE DE DEMAIN
a young woman wakes up to find that she has become weightless, and floats through life until gravity inevitably catches up with her.
Une jeune femme se réveille dans un rêve de demain. Elle vole dans la nature. Jusqu'à être aspirée par un monde où règne la gravité. Où on l'oblige à mettre les pieds sur terre. Les gens qui l'entourent se ressemblent tous...

the film was shot in 2011.
we started the project spontaneously in february in burkina faso and two shots from there even survived over the process. we continued to shoot additional scenes at the north sea cost without still knowing all of the story we would be telling at the end. then in hamburg we shot most of the scenes and finished it in brussels in july.
all in all i would say:
round about 7 days of shooting.
lots of nice shots we didn't put in the final editing ;)
shot on canon eos 5d mkII with older nikon prime lenses.
35mm 1.4 // 50mm 1.2 // 85mm 1.4 // 105mm 1.8
all pics are manually shot single photos in sraw2 format.
thx for all the support! :))

Nikon - WHY
Nikon D4 Release Video
It's here! The Nikon D4 has arrived and it is a freaking HOT camera! For the past months I have been working in silence with an amazingly talented crew and three of the best athletes on the planet producing my short D4 launch film "WHY". It was like Christmas morning when Nikon called and described the new camera and all of its incredible features. All I could think was that this is the camera we have been waiting for. Then the gift of all gifts... "Corey, dream up a film that you would like to shoot. You pick the topic. You pick the location. It's your film... only requirement is you show off the features of the new camera." My favorite quote from the call was "You have a blank white canvas and it's up to you to fill it". I had to pinch myself several times to confirm that the call was real. Everyone involved has been tight lipped about the project for months and today we can finally begin to share some of the assets and get fired up about the camera!!!
I have always been facinated by those people that are the best at what they do. Those that operate on the edge; scientists, artists, musicians, athletes, etc. Always the question that I find myself asking is "WHY"? What deep inside drives them? What does the world look like through their eyes? Those that live on the edge, push the envelope, redefine sports and industries operate in a space all to themselves. In my Nikon D4 launch film I wanted to visually portray the beauty and intensity of the athletes doing what they do best while also delving into their heads and answering the question "WHY"? There was a very simple list of criteria used when selecting the athletes for this film. 1. They needed to be the best in the world at what they do. 2. They needed to be true role modes / heros. (In short, no ego and just simply fantastic people). Dane, Rebecca and Alex fulfill the requirements in spades!
As it seems to be with many shoots, the schedule for WHY was INSANE! In just 13 days we went from Veracruz, Mexico to Moab, Utah to Joshua Tree, California. With a fantastic crew of eight amazingly talented people, three of the worlds best athletes, over 20 pieces of luggage, three D4 prototypes, an rc helicopter and enough RedBull and ClifBars to keep us awake and moving, the entire journey was epic! Huge days, little sleep, lost bags, crashed helicopter (the D4 lived), speeding tickets (talked our way out of both ;-), wicked mosquito bites, flu, and a trip to the urgent care - all the prerequisites for a great shoot. Just the way I like it!
Special thanks to everyone that helped on this production! Dane Henry, Shawn Corrigan, Rex Lint, Mike Hagadorn; you guys are studs! Blaine Deutsch and Marina Rich, thank you for keeping us all on track, organized, fed and looking good (and Marina, thanks for loving me and being the best wife in the world). Gen Umei, Soichi Hayashi, Jason Jenkins and Mike Corrado; thank you for the opportunity! Dane Jackson, Alex Honnold and Rebecca Rusch, you guys really made the film and answered the question WHY!!! Tommy Thompson and Chris McNamara; thanks for keeping us safe and getting me into the coolest camera positions possible! Amazing team and thank you everyone who helped!
When it is all said and done by far the most exciting part is the future. It's about the collective creativity and vision of the photo and video community and what we will all create when we get a D4 in our hands. One thing is for certain, WHY was just the tip of the iceberg!

The Gift of Love - Bette Midler
Writer: BILLY STEINBERG, TOM KELLY, SUSANNA HOFFS You ask me what I want. You ask me what I need. It's nothing you can buy. My heart's not ruled by greed. I don't love a diamond. Diamond's you see through. I want you to hold me. I want you to be true. Give me the gift of love. Look me in the eyes. Say I'm the one you're dreamin' of. That'd be the best surprise. Give me the gift of your sweet love In the light of the day, In the dark of night. Like the colors of the sun, The feelings in your heart. It's all I want from you. And when the sky is dark I'll have you beside me. Who could ask for more? I'll just wear a smile When you walk in the door. Give me the gift of love. Look me in the eyes. Say I'm the one you're dreamin' of. That'd be the best surprise. Give me the gift of your sweet love In the light of the day, In the dark of night. Give me the gift of love. Look me in the eyes. Say I'm the one you're dreamin' of. That'd be the best surprise. Give me the gift of your sweet love In the light of the day, In the dark of night. Give me the gift of love. Look me in the eyes. Say I'm the one. That'd be the best surprise. Give me the gift of your sweet love In the light of the day, In the dark of night. Always...Ohhh...
