Inflation rate falls by 0.3% but increases expected in second half of the year

Consumer Price Index (CPI) inflation fell from 0.5% in March, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said ... The ONS also said a 14% month-on-month fall in airfares contributed to the first month-on-month drop since September, as a relatively early Easter had pushed fares up 23% during March. But April also saw prices on the forecourts rise, while food prices fell by less than they did a year earlier....
