6/5/12 At Yonkers again to catch some action, showing a bit of the trip to Yonkers, caught a few good things, & got some good pizza & italian ice's right by the station, Enjoy! 1. A Metro North Bomber Express(5:30) passes us as my M7A local(5:20) leaves Riverdale,to Ludlow, notice while the P32AC-DM is going it's relative top speed, the M7A's acceleration catches up quickly, if we didn't have to stop at Ludlow, etc, it'd be a race! around 5:52pm 2. Another Bomber Express passes us after Ludlow heading to Grand Central at 5:54pm 3. Metro North Bomber Express led by Ge Genesis P32AC-DM #224 & cabcar 6225 on the rear flies through Yonkers at 5:58pm 4. M3A Express train blasts north through Yonkers towards Croton-Harmon at 6:01pm 5. Amtrak Empire Service train 239 swings through Yonkers at 6:06pm with P32AC-DM #708 leading 6. M3A Express train cruises through Yonkers towards Grand Central at 6:10pm 7. Amtrak Lake Shore Limited train 48 flies through Yonkers towards Penn Station with P32AC-DM #702 leading with a 4 Amfleet II's, Heritage Diner, 2 Viewliners, Baggage car, & Private cars trailing!! Pullman Mid-America, New York Central car, & Pullman Pontchartrain Club car, my first rare get! 8. As a set of M7A's depart Yonkers & start quickly accelerating a Bomber Express blasts through the station at 6:17pm, the M7A's seem to be pulling away, these kind of races are fun to see & experience! 9. Amtrak Empire Service train 244 blasts through Yonkers towards Penn Station at 6:30pm ...
