Burnside, Otago
Burnside is a mainly industrial suburb of the New Zealand city of Dunedin. It is located at the mouth of a long valley, the Kaikorai Valley, through which flows the Kaikorai Stream. This valley stretches to the northeast for 3.5 kilometres (2.2 mi). Burnside is 5.5 kilometres (3.4 mi) to the southwest of the city centre, close to eastern end of the much larger suburb, Green Island. Other suburbs located nearby include Concord, immediately to the southeast and Kenmure further up Kaikorai Valley.
Burnside is separated from the central urban area of Dunedin by the large ridge which surrounds the city's heart. This ridge is part of the crater wall of the long-extinct Dunedin Volcano. The ridge lies immediately to the east of Burnside, with the main pass over it, the saddle of Lookout Point, lying 0.8 kilometres (0.50 mi) to the east.
Kempthorne Prosser's Burnside Chemical Works that made fertilisers from Sulphuric acid opened in 1880 and were the first of its kind in the colony. It closed in the early 1960s and was sold to Dominion Fertiliser before being demolished. Burnside is the site of the former Burnside Freezing Works, the first works of its kind in New Zealand. This large complex has its origin in a plant opened in 1881, and an abattoir continued to operate at this site until the late 1980s. There are plans to turn the site into an industrial city. Another landmark former industry in the area was the Burnside Cement Factory, which also operated until the 1980s.

Concord College, UK
Concord College is an independent private co-educational international day/boarding school in Shropshire, England situated in the grounds of Acton Burnell Castle. The college admits students aged between 12 and 19; the majority of whom come from overseas. In 2008, The Times league table for independent co-educational schools in the UK placed Concord third, its highest ever ranking.
In 2009, to celebrate its 60th year, Concord was visited by the Princess Royal.

The Concord Mountains is a group name applied to a complex system of mountain ranges in northwest Victoria Land comprising Everett Range, Mirabito Range, King Range, Leitch Massif, East Quartzite Range and West Quartzite Range.
Mapped by the USGS from surveys and U.S. Navy aerial photographs, 1960-63. Named by the northern party of the NZGSAE which explored this area, 1963–64, for the international harmony existing in Antarctica and in particular for the fact that five nations participated in exploration of this region.

Concord Oval
Concord Oval (also Waratah Stadium) is a rugby stadium in Concord, Australia. It is currently used mostly for rugby union matches and was used for eight matches during the 1987 Rugby World Cup. The stadium is able to hold 20,000 people and opened in 1985.
The stadium has two opposing grandstands. The eastern stand hosts the tennis box-style seats, television gantry and the change rooms. The stand runs approximately from try-line to try-line. The western stand contains a gym and some boxes. This stand runs approximately from dead-ball line to dead ball line. In front of the western stand are two rows of seats, while a concrete path runs around the field (except not in front of the aforementioned two rows of seats, the path runs behind those seats). At each end there is a grassy hill, and at the southern or Parramatta Road end, there is a wooden, manually operated scoreboard with an analogue clock. The stadium is bordered by Gipps Street to the north, Parramatta Road to the south, Loftus Street to the west and the Cintra Hockey Centre to the east. Parking is at a premium with small carparks behind the northern hill, eastern stand and in the south-east corner, although Burwood train station is not too far away, and the 439, L39, 464 and 466 bus routes pass close to the stadium. With the completion of the Sydney Football Stadium, and later Stadium Australia, the New South Wales Waratahs and Australian Wallabies have not played at the stadium in many years, and a return is unlikely, especially considering how expansion is almost impossible due to housing to the west, roads to the north and south, and a hockey complex and canal to the east. Other issues are that the stadium does not have floodlights, a video screen, parking or modern spectator amenities.

Concord Resort Hotel
The Concord Resort Hotel (pronounced kahn-CORD) was a world-famous destination for visitors to the so-called Borscht Belt part of the Catskills, known for its large resort industry in the 1950s, '60s, and '70s. Located in Kiamesha Lake, New York, the Concord was the largest resort in the region until its closing in 1998. There were over 1,500 guest rooms and a dining room that sat 3,000; the resort encompassed some 2,000 acres (8.1 km2).
According to the Concord Resort & Golf Club Website, the hotel is now
"...home of the World Famous "Monster" Golf Course rated by Golf Digest as one of America's 100 Greatest Golf Courses" which "features full service pro shop, driving range, overnight accommodations, meeting rooms, restaurant and bar, large catering and banquet facilities, individual and corporate memberships, golf school, and a PGA professional staff for all golf instruction programs."
There are currently 42 guest rooms and the website indicates that more rooms will be built as well as amenities not related to the golf course (i.e. swimming pool, tennis courts, etc.) The "Monster Golf Academy" is under the direction of PGA Professional Todd Barker. The former hotel portion, though, was completely demolished in 2008 and the site remains vacant.

Concord Speedway
Concord Speedway is a motorsports facility located in the town of Midland, North Carolina, southeast of Concord, North Carolina. The track held twelve NASCAR Grand National (now Sprint Cup Series) events between 1956 and 1964.
The current track was built by race promoter Henry Furr. Originally a four-tenths of a mile oval dirt-track, Furr reconfigured the track adding a true dog-leg to the back stretch. The track now has three unique turns. Pit road entrance is located in the tri-oval prior to turn three. The track had seating for over 12,000 fans prior to a recent downsizing that saw the turn one grandstands converted to a dirt berm.
The track has hosted the Big 10 series in two different stints. Most recently Super Late Models competed in the series from 2003-2005. Freddie Query is the track's all-time leader in wins and claimed the Big 10 series championship in 2004 and 2005.
The track also hosts the USARacing series annually and hosted an ASA event.
Winners and competitors at the track include Freddy Query, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jack Sprague, Ernie Irvan, Justin Labonte, Clay Rogers, Bobby Gill, Dale Earnhardt Sr., Ralph Earnhardt, Brian Love and Jeff Melton.

Concord is a census-designated place in Jefferson County, Alabama, United States. It is part of the Birmingham–Hoover–Cullman Combined Statistical Area. At the 2010 census the population was 1,806. This area was damaged by an F5 tornado on April 8, 1998, and again by an EF4 tornado on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 that killed 6 people during the multi-state Southern U.S. April 2011 tornado outbreak- the same massive tornado that obliterated parts of Tuscaloosa.

Much of the area immediately around downtown has recently been redeveloped, with new high-density apartment and condominium projects to take advantage of the close proximity to public transportation and the vibrant area surrounding the park. Despite this, some crime and homelessness remain issues in the downtown area.

Concord, Ontario
Concord is an unincorporated suburban industrial community in the City of Vaughan in York Region, located north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. According to the 2001 Census, the community has 8,255 residents (including the community of Carrville).
It is accessed by two superhighways: Highway 407 and Highway 400. Concord is located in the City of Vaughan, west of Thornhill, and north of Toronto. Concord is bordered by Steeles Avenue to the south, Black Creek to the west (roughly Highway 400), the Upper West Don River to the northwest (roughly Dufferin Street and Rutherford Road).
Prior to the 1950s, when Highway 400 was first opened, Concord was an agricultural community, covered mostly by farmlands. Housing developments also began in the 1950s east of Keele Street, as well as construction of a CN railway by-pass of Toronto with a 4 km freight yard. This decade also saw an industrial park also added near Jane Street.
In the 1970s, the industrialization of the northern part of the Greater Toronto Area began. The industrial area east of Keele Street consisted of industrialized buildings and a plaza within Highway 7, with industrial buildup continuing into the 1980s. A residential area, Glen Shields, was built in the 1970s and the 1980s in the southeast, west of Dufferin. 1992 also saw the commencement of the construction of Highway 407, which opened in 1997, with three Concord interchanges. Planned streets for housing extending to Rutherford Road. In the early 2000s, the construction of Vaughan Mills began, being completed in 2004.

Temple of Concord

The Temple of Concord in the ancient city of Rome was a temple dedicated to the Roman goddess Concordia at the western end of the Roman Forum. The temple was vowed in 367 BC by Marcus Furius Camillus, but was not actually built until 167 BC. It was destroyed and restored multiple times in its history, and its final restoration, between 7-10 AD under Roman Emperor Tiberius, is described in Pliny the Elder's Natural History. In approximately 1450 AD the temple was razed and turned into a lime-kiln to recover the marble for building.
Roman literature states that it was first vowed by Marcus Furius Camillus in 367 BC to commemorate the Leges Liciniae Sextiae of Lucius Sextius Lateranus and the resulting reconciliation between the patricians and plebians after the Aventine Secession.
It was a frequent focus for fostering harmony in the Roman state, both through its first rebuilding in 121 BC (after the murder of Gaius Gracchus), and through its occasional use for meetings of the Senate, especially in times of civil disturbance (Cicero delivered his fourth Catilinarian oration here).

Black Sun Empire
Black Sun Empire is the a trio of Dutch disc jockeys and drum & bass music producers. The group consists of Rene Verdult and brothers Milan and Micha Heyboer.
Based out of Utrecht, Netherlands, they started making Drum & Bass in 1995 when they turned to the likes of artists such as Photek, LTJ Bukem, and Ed Rush. After having a few releases on smaller record labels, they managed to get the attention of bigger producers like DJ Trace, currently known for his DSCI4 record label. They have three labels of their own; Black Sun Empire Recordings, oBSEssions and Shadows of the Empire. The group's name comes from the Black Sun Crime Syndicate, which appeared in the Star Wars novel Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire.
One of their tracks ("Arrakis") was featured in the E³ 2006 trailer of the game EVE Online titled "No Other Destiny".
While the trio's music is usually defined as darkstep or neurofunk, Black Sun Empire have more recently incorporated dubstep into their productions.

DJ Trace
DJ Trace is the recording name of Duncan Hutchinson, a British electronic music artist, disc jockey and founder of DSCI4 Records. Hutchinson's remix of T Power & MK Ultra's Mutant Jazz, entitled simply The Mutant Remix and released on the Rollers Instinct record label in 1995 is said to be one of the first examples of the techstep genre of jungle/drum & bass music. Ed Rush
Ed Rush is the recording name of Ben Settle; a prominent jungle/techstep/neurofunk DJ, who often produces tracks in collaboration with Optical. Hailing from west London, he came to prominence with the release of the track Bludclot Artattack in 1993 (a collaboration with producer Nico Sykes). As techstep emerged as a new subgenre of jungle/drum & bass he was at the fore, releasing well-received tracks such as Guncheck (1995), Killamanjaro and Skylab EP (both 1996), but recording chiefly for Sykes' No U-Turn Records imprint. His work of this time is included in the Techsteppin (1996) and Torque (1997) compilation albums. In 1998, he joined forces with Optical to create their own drum and bass record label called Virus Recordings. Their album from the same year Wormhole is considered a genre classic.

LTJ Bukem
LTJ Bukem is the stage name used by the drum and bass musician, producer and DJ Danny Williamson (born 1967). He and his record labels Good Looking and Looking Good Records are most associated with the jazzy, atmospheric side of drum and bass music.
He was trained as a classical pianist and discovered jazz fusion in his teenage years, having a jazz funk band at one stage. However by the late 1980s he decided to become a DJ, and gained fame in the rave scene of the early 1990s. As a producer, he released a series of jungle tracks such as "Demon's Theme" (1991), "Atlantis" and "Music" (1993). His most notable release was the track "Horizons" (1995) which attained considerable popularity.
He then dipped in visibility as a producer, with his work running the London club night Speed and his record label Good Looking Records coming to the fore. A series of compilations entitled Logical Progression highlighted a jazz and ambient influenced side of drum and bass. The style became widely known as intelligent drum and bass, although Bukem himself was opposed to the moniker, unhappy with the implication that other styles of jungle were not intelligent.[citation needed] Bukem also explored the downtempo end of electronic lounge music, with sister label Cookin' and the Earth series of compilations. Some of the artists who rose to fame under Good Looking in this period include Blame, Seba, Big Bud, Blu Mar Ten, DJ Dream, Future Engineers, Tayla, Aquarius (Photek), Peshay, Source Direct and Artemis.

Noisia, stylized as NOISIΛ ('VISION' rotated 180°), is a Dutch electronic music trio consisting of members Nik Roos, Martijn van Sonderen and Thijs de Vlieger from Groningen, The Netherlands. They now produce a wide variety of music including drum and bass, dubstep, breakbeat and house music. Noisia perform across the world and own three record labels (Vision, Division and Invisible Recordings).
After a few fruitful collaborations with Martijn, who had been involved in music (hip hop production/classical piano) for quite a while before he hooked up with Nik and Thijs, Martijn was added to the Noisia team.
After a while the Internet was discovered as a great way to acquire musical knowledge and to get feedback on productions. Also, the first NOISIΛ tune that received interest from a real label (Mayhem's Shadow Law Recordings) was found on a production message board, this interest was a big motivation to improve the sound of NOISIΛ's productions. An investment in studio-equipment and a dedication to sound design, mixdown and arrangement got things moving, and February 2003 saw the birth of the recording that was going to be the first released NOISIΛ tune; "Tomahawk" by NOISIΛ & Mayhem on Paul Reset's Nerve Recordings imprint. The flip of that was Silicon, which was written in the hangover-days after Mayhem's short but productive stay. Silicon/tomahawk was released in August 2003, and after that things gradually started rolling.

Rupert Parkes (born 1972, St Albans, England), known as Photek, is a Los Angeles-based British record producer and DJ. He joined the drum and bass scene relatively early (his first release was in 1992, a collaboration with Rob Solomon a.k.a. Lexis), and is still one of its most respected players. In the mid-to-late Nineties he was a very active remixer, and he has also done some soundtrack work, most notably for The Animatrix.
His early tracks are somewhat ambient, but already feature the rhythm pattern of his seminal 1997 work Modus Operandi, which embodies most of his mid-nineties style: atmospheric, but at the same time very cold and paranoid, consisting mostly of jazz-influenced, highly complex drum patterns and sequenced double bass lines, sometimes with minimalistic synth melodies on top. Photek is also influenced by traditional Japanese music and culture, with song titles as "Ni-Ten-Ichi-Ryu (2 Swords Technique)" (named after the Hyoho Niten Ichi-ryu technique) and "The Seven Samurai" (named after the movie of the same name).

In 2010, they toured and scheduled some releases, in particular remixes for New Zealand electronica live acts Shapeshifter and Minuit. Other plans for 2010 included new original singles for worldwide release on Virus Recordings and Lifted Music.
In 2009 they toured along side Dieselboy, Evol Intent, Ewun, Demo, Infiltrata, Mayhem, SPKTRM, MC Messinian, MC Dino and MC Steez as part of the Monsters of Jungle Tour which headlined festivals all over the world.

Thousands lined up across the country to shell out $180 for the black and white "J's" that went on sale at midnight. Police were called to shopping centers in Indiana, Florida, Texas and Virginia among other states to control crowds of hundreds lining up for the shoes. "I don't remember anything like this in the recent past at all, definitely not with the iPhone or anything like that," Linda Jackson, a spokeswoman for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, told ABCNews.com. Indiana police were called to three malls to help control "hectic" scenes of hundreds of shoppers, including many teenagers and children. "It was pretty much a surprise for us," Jackson said. "I imagine the malls knew, but I don't know that they were prepared for the response." Frantic shoppers even tried to break down a door at one of the Indiana malls. "There was a door that was damaged, but I don't believe they were able to gain access," Jackson said. "It sounded like these are the need-to-have item of the season, for some reason." In Atlanta, at least four people were arrested in a mob scene at a suburban mall, according to the Associated Press. Twenty police cars responded and the crowd broke down a door to enter the mall before it opened. Black Sun Empire is the a trio of Dutch disc jockeys and drum & bass music producers. The group consists of Rene Verdult and brothers Milan and Micha Heyboer.
Based out of Utrecht, Netherlands, they started making Drum & Bass in 1995 when they turned to the likes of artists such as Photek, LTJ Bukem, and Ed Rush. After having a few releases on smaller record labels, they managed to get the attention of bigger producers like DJ Trace, currently known for his DSCI4 record label. They have three labels of their own; Black Sun Empire Recordings, oBSEssions and Shadows of the Empire. The group's name comes from the Black Sun Crime Syndicate, which appeared in the Star Wars novel Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire.
One of their tracks ("Arrakis") was featured in the E³ 2006 trailer of the game EVE Online titled "No Other Destiny".
While the trio's music is usually defined as darkstep or neurofunk, Black Sun Empire have more recently incorporated dubstep into their productions.

Concord Dawn, is a New Zealand drum and bass group, active since mid 1999. It consists of Matt Harvey (aka Matty C) and Evan Short (aka Kiljoy).[1] They were courted by local electronic music label Kog Transmissions and released their first album, Concord Dawn, in July 2000.
After touring the album throughout New Zealand they released their second album Disturbance in April 2001 and received "Best Electronic Album" and "Best Independent Release" at the 2001 bNet Music Awards. Following this they started working on their third album: Uprising. Tracks like "Morning Light" and "Don’t Tell Me" found very high international acclaim well before the album’s release. Uprising was released in New Zealand in September 2003 and reached gold sales status in three months, going on to eventually reach platinum sales in New Zealand.
Concord Dawn have become established internationally and their catalogue is distributed worldwide. They went off on a world tour, traveling through the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia and Australia. At the 2003 BNet music awards "Morning Light" won "Best Song" and "Most Radio Play". At the 2004 bNet music awards Uprising received "Best Album" and "Best Electronic Release". Concord Dawn were nominated for "Best Electronic Act" at the 2004 New Zealand music awards.
Work on their long-awaited fourth album was completed in early 2005 and was titled Chaos By Design by the two to express the album’s musically eclectic nature. The album and singles won critical acclaim worldwide with various tracks off the albums being signed to some big and respected drum and dass labels such as Metalheadz, Ram Records and Hospital Recordings.
Concord Dawn were nominated for "Best Tech DJ", "Best International Act" and "Best Producer" at the 2009 UK Drum and Bass Awards. Chaos by Design achieved Gold sales status in New Zealand.[2] Concord Dawn have two of the top 20 selling records of all time at www.chemical-records.co.uk, "Dont Tell Me" and "Morning Light", both released on Timeless Records.
Concord Dawns live sets are well regarded as encompassing the full spectrum of drum and bass music, and this has seen constant tours and performances in Europe, Russia, Australasia, Asia and North America since the turn of the century.
Concord Dawn now only features member Matt Harvey,[3] Evan Short left the group for reasons unknown. He released the first Concord Dawn EP entitled "The Race To Zero EP" (also titled "The Race To Zero Volume 1" on 5 September 2011.[4]
