Dublin is the centre of Irish cultural activities. There are many events happening all over Ireland and specially Dublin at every time of the year. Each day in Dublin is just like a festival. There is always something very special to be celebrated after a couple of days, either it's a Christmas celebration, a new year, St. Patrick’s Day or many other events. Dublin also brings a variety of festivals including cultural, art, religious festivals along with book fairs,fun fairs, food festivals, fashion festivals and film festivals and many many more.


St Patrick's Day Festival
Dublin's St Patrick's Day Festival is the country's largest annual event, lasting for five days in the month of March with activities including street theatre, fireworks, music, dance, comedy, film, a treasure with the Festival Parade an impressive display of colour, noise and pageantry and the biggest street party in Ireland.


Dublin Marathon
Marathoners from around the world flock to Dublin for one of the most popular international marathons in October. Runners take on a 26.2-mile course that winds past many of Dublin's sights and attractions. Near by area residents wake up early to cheer the runners on throughout the route, and lively post-race parties are a tradition.

Dublin Film Festival
Every Spring, celebrates the best of Irish and international cinema with a full slate of showings, including new films, classics, low budget local films and blockbuster premieres. Dublin film festival has been garnering growing international acclaim since its inception in 1986.

Guinness/Temple Bar Blues Festival
The world's top blues musicians come to Temple Bar to bring live this event. About 50 artists and bands from around the world fill pubs and stages south of the Liffey, and each showcases its own brand of blue. All concerts and workshops are free and open to the public.

Dublin Theatre Festival
This event highlights Dublin's rich literary and theatrical history. It has showcased emerging talent since 1957. These events take place in October on all the main stages of the city. A variety of theater related workshops take place, as well as plays of every description.
