Unit 731 - Nightmare in Manchuria (History Channel)
Japanese biological warfare atrocities from the 1930s through World War II. Established by Lt. General Shiro Ishii, the Unit 731 facility tested plague and other diseases on live humans, engaged in live vivisection and other horrifying experiments, and destroyed Chinese villages. Most astonishing is that Ishii and his medical murderers were given full immunity by the American government, because US scientists were anxious to obtain detailed records of his biological experiments on human beings. 1996 documentary.

Soviet Union Invasion of Manchuria. World War 2, Reason Japan Surrendered. The truth to Americans.
en.wikipedia.org The Soviet invasion of Manchuria or, as the Soviets named it, the Manchurian Strategic Offensive Operation (Манчжурская стратегическая наступательная операция, lit. Manchzhurskaya Strategicheskaya Nastupatelnaya Operaciya), began on August 9, 1945, with the Soviet invasion of the Japanese puppet state of Manchukuo and was the largest campaign of the 1945 Soviet--Japanese War. The Soviets conquered Manchukuo, Mengjiang (Inner Mongolia), northern Korea, southern Sakhalin, and the Kuril Islands. The rapid defeat of Japan's Kwantung Army was a very significant factor in the Japanese surrender and the end of World War II, as Japan realised the Russians were willing and able to take the cost of invasion of its Home Islands, after their rapid conquest of Manchuria and Sakhalin. ______________________________________ Most of the World knows that the Red Army breaking the neutrality pack, and suprising and slaughtering the Kwangtung Army in a few days was the main reason for Japans surrender. Japan feared the Red Army like no other. Refused to break the neutrality pack when the Axis asked them for help against the Soviets. Japan had been trying to work out something since June. An had no Idea the Red Army was planning an attack. In a couple of days the Red Army did more damage to Japans military, than China, Great Britain, the United States had done in years. Completely destroying the Kwangtung Army. The Red Army or the third Reich would of had Japan for breakfast ...

(2/10) Battlefield II The Battle of Manchuria World War II
SUBSCRIBE TO EXCELLENT WORLD WAR II VIDEOS The remarkable Soviet victory over the once mighty Japanese Kwantung Army in the mountains of Manchuria is one of the least known of the Second World War. This was no steam roller triumph of greater numbers and brute force but a victory for superior weaponry, brilliant tactical use of surprise and bold command that was achieved in little more than a fortnight. This episode, brand new to DVD is from the land mark television series Battlefield. Featuring fascinating archive footage from all over the world the program includes a review of the political and military situation before the battle, portraits of leaders and commanders, an explanation of weapons and tactics and the story of the battle itself. Vivid graphics place the battle into the context of the war as a whole. Scene Selection: 1.Introduction 2.Prelude to the Battle 3.The Commanders 4. Soviet Forces 5.Japanese Forces 6.The Battlefield 7.Potsdam Conference 8.The Campaign Begins 9.The Aftermath
