SEEND BRIDGE REOPENS AFTER £720K REPAIRS (Canal & River Trust)

A bridge over the Kennet & Avon Canal in Seend has reopened, following a £720,000 project to repair and strengthen it for future use ... The project formed part of a £45 million programme of winter maintenance works on the country's canals and rivers, which also included replacing multi-tonne lock gates at historic Seend Lock earlier this year.

Seend House in Wiltshire is a rare period piece

But Seend is pretty and the 12-bedroom house would accommodate a large, sporty family ... Seend House cannot be seen from the road and is announced by a gate lodge that resembles a garden temple.
