Gary the Australian goat has charges dropped against him
Gary, a goat from Australia, has been cleared of destroying a flowerbed in Sydney's city centre after his case was appealed. Police arrested Gary the goat for eating flowers outside the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney on 22 August. His owner Jim Dezarnaul, a comedian known as Jimbo Bazoobi, was fined AUS $440 but the case was later dismissed by a local court. Magistrate Carolyn Barkell said while the accused goat had been eating flowers when police arrived, there was no evidence Bazoobi brought Gary there with the intention of vandalising vegetation. Paul McGirr, the lawyer for the goat, told the court that police had issued the wrong infringement notice, because it related to a person and not a goat. He also said it could not be proved that Dezarnaul put Gary up to the act. 2010 The Animation Workshop
My Bachelorfilm from The Animation Workshop. Set to the song "Slow Show" by The National, who were kind enough to allow me to use their music. It is a non-commercial short film, intended for festivals.
It is shot in the forests surrounding Viborg, Denmark. My main inspiration was victorian litterature, and "Boxer" by the national. It was painful to finish, as shooting stop motion in the forest at night for longer periods turned out to offer alot of problems :) But it was also great fun and adventure.

In celebration of our 3-year wedding anniversary, Karen and I travelled to Iceland for two weeks of relaxation and exploration together. I documented parts of our trip with time-lapse photography in an attempt to share our experiences with others. Iceland is a land of many geological wonders and extremely unpredictable and ever-changing weather. These visuals truly do not do it justice, but they at-least offer a brief glimpse into the landscape and wild geothermal pools of Iceland. The midnight sun had passed (as well as the tourist high season) and the nights were rapidly becoming longer as we transitioned into the month of September. Although the Solar Maximum is just around the corner, the auroral activity was very low for a majority of our travels. After 11 nights of cloudy conditions and a unexpected geomagnetic flat-line, we were eventually treated to a stunning Aurora show over the lesser travelled shore of Jökulsárlón that lasted for a majority of the night.
We started our adventure in Reykjavik around 7am on Sunday, August 26th, 2012. From Reykjavik we travelled to the West Fjords, Troll Peninsula, Mývatn, Askja, Vatnajökull, Landmannalaugar and everywhere else in between that we could reach before our departure back to our home in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday, September 8th, 2012. We camped for a majority of the trip and slept comfortably thanks to the bomber www.TheNorthFace.com Mountain 25 tent.

Filmed over 12 days in August 2011, this is the Tongariro National Park by night.
Being a Wedding Filmmaker the winter is the down season for me so I took some time out to try my hand at time-lapse photography. This is my first attempt at filming time lapse's, And I soon found out filming the milky way at night gets a whole lot more tricky.
I had some new gear I had just purchased to try out so I was stoked to give that a go. I had a few gear issues on my first few nights but turns out it was more 'operator' issues and once I had learn't my lessons I was away flying!
I learn't so much over everyone of the 12 days filming. I had no idea how much work goes into creating a film like this. Preparation is so important and having good time management (which isn't always my strength) goes a long way to getting great footage. The sun, moon and milky way wait for no one. Then when you do finally get the timing right, the clouds get in the way. grrr. Ruined my moonrise!
All in all, I had an epic time and although improvements could have defiantly been made I'm stoked with what I achieved for my first attempt at this type of photography.
Technical Notes:
Most exposures ranged from 30-60 seconds at 1600ISO and spanned 2-4 hours. This gave me 4-8 seconds of time lapsed footage.
