Alulim was the first king of Eridu, and the first king of Sumer, according to the Sumerian King List, presumably making him the first recorded king in the world. Enki, the god of Eridu, or his mortal son Adapa, are said to have brought civilization to Sumer at this point, or just shortly before.
The Sumerian King List has the following entry for Alulim:
"After the kingship descended from heaven, the kingship was in Eridug (Eridu). In Eridug, Alulim became king; he ruled for 28800 years."
In a chart of antediluvian generations in Babylonian and Biblical traditions, Professor William Wolfgang Hallo associates Alulim with the composite half-man, half-fish counselor or culture hero (Apkallu) Uanna-Adapa (Oannes), and suggests an equivalence between Alulim and Enosh in the Sethite Genealogy given in Genesis chapter 5. Hallo notes that Alulim's name means "Stag".
Shea poses historical Alulim (king of Eridu which may be biblical Eden) may be the same man as the biblical Adam.
Hess elaborates there are three different ways the Hebrew word "adam" is used in Genesis. "Adam" can just mean the generic term for mankind in general, a male in particular, or as a title; as is seen in ancient Near Eastern parallels where the lu-sign for ruler means "man". The Sumerian and the Hebrew Adam are similar in usage; Both can mean humans or humanity. As a general rule in the Hebrew, when Adam has a definite article, it means man or human; while Adam with no article is a personal name (Hamilton 1990, 159).
Next Time (sometimes rendered "Некст Тајм" in Macedonian Cyrillic) is a rock duo from Skopje, Republic of Macedonia. The duo consists of twin brothers Martin and Stefan Filipovski. Stefan fronts the band as the lead singer, while Martin plays the guitar and sings back-up vocals. The group represented Macedonia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow, Russia but failed to reach the final.
Next Time was formed in early 2008 after they signed with Plan B Production. Previously they performed as a garage band at children's music festivals. Discovered by composer and songwriter, Jovan Jovanov, the Macedonian duo released their first single "Ne Veruvam Vo Tebe" ("I Don't Believe in You") in May, 2008. The song's lyrics were written by Next Time with Jovanov as the producer. "Ne Veruvam Vo Tebe" immediately topped a number of charts in Macedonia and was quickly a hit which shot Next Time through the roof of the Macedonian music scene.[citation needed] The band also released their first music video for the song. Next Time's first festival appearance was at the First Radio Music Festival "Zvezdena Nok" in June, 2008. At "Zvezdena Nok", the duo won the "Summer Hit of the Year" award with their second song "Me Mislish Li?" ("Am I In Your Thoughts?"). Two months later at Ohrid Fest, Next Time were voted "Best New Artist" with their third single "Me Ostavi Sam Da Zhiveam" ("You Left Me All Alone"). Next Time's biggest festival success came in October when they won the second semi-final at MakFest. With their fourth single "Bez Tebe Tivko Umiram" ("I'm Slowly Dying Without You") they went on to finish second in the final, only three points behind the winner.

Y'all come, (y'all come), y'all come, (y'all come)
Oh, y'all come to see us when you can
Y'all come, (y'all come), y'all come, (y'all come)
Oh, y'all come to see us now and then.
When you live in the country everybody is your neighbor
On this one thing you can rely
They'll all come to see you and never, never leave you
Saying y'all come to see us by and by.
Y'all come, (y'all come), y'all come, (y'all come)
Oh, y'all come to see us when you can
Y'all come, (y'all come), y'all come, (y'all come)
Oh, y'all come to see us now and then.
The kinfolks 're coming, coming by the dozen
Eatin' everything from soup to hay, hay, hay
And right after dinner they ain't looking any thinner
And here's what you'll hear them say.
Y'all come, (y'all come), y'all come, (y'all come)
Oh, y'all come to see us when you can
Y'all come, (y'all come), y'all come, (y'all come)
Oh, y'all come to see us now and then.
--- Instrumental ---
Oh, old grandma's a wishing they'd come out to the kitchen
And help her do the dishes right away
But they all start leavin', even though she's a grievin'
You can still hear grandma say.
Y'all come, (y'all come), y'all come, (y'all come)
Oh, y'all come to see us when you can
Y'all come, (y'all come), y'all come, (y'all come)
Oh, y'all come to see us now and then.
Oh, y'all come to see us now and then...
When you live in the country everybody is your neighbor on this one thing you can rely
They'll all come to see you and never never leave you
Sayin' y'all come to see us by and by
Y'all come y'all come oh you all come to see us when you can
Y'all come y'all come oh you all come to see us now and then
[ steel - fiddle ]
Now grandma's a wishin' they'd come out to her kitchen
And help her do the dishes right away
Then they all start leavin' and though she's a grievin' you can still hear grandma say
Y'all come y'all come...
I'll be home
I'll be home
When your nights are troubled
And you're all alone
When you're feeling down
And need some sympathy
Nobody's around to keep you company
Remember baby
You can always count on me
I'll be home
I'll be home
I'll be home
Hum... I'll be home
Wherever you may wander
Wherever you may roam
You'll come back
And I'll be waiting here for you
No one else will ever love you
The way I do
I'll be here to comfort you
And see you through
I'll be home
I'll be home
I know what it's like to have failed baby
With the whole world lookin' on
I know what it's like to have soared
And come crashin' like a drunk on a bar room floor
Now you got no reason to trust me
My confidence is a little rusty
But if you don't feel like bein' alone
Baby I could walk you all the way home
Well now our old fears and failures
Baby they do linger
Like the shadow of that ring
That was on your finger
Those days they've come and gone
Baby I could walk you all the way home
Love leaves nothin' but shadows and vapor
We go on, as is our sad nature
Now it's some old Stones' song the band is trashin'
If you feel like dancin', baby I'm askin'
It's comin' on closing time
Bartender he's ringin' last call
These days I don't stand on pride
And I ain't afraid to take a fall
So if you're seein' what you like
Maybe your first choice, he's gone
Well that's all right
Baby I could walk you all the way home
When you live in the country everybody is your neighbor
On this one thing you can rely
They'll all come to see you and they'll never ever leave you
Y'all come to see us bye and bye
Y'all come
(Y'all come)
Y'all come
(Y'all come)
Oh, you all come to see us when you can
Y'all come
(Y'all come)
Y'all come
(Y'all come)
Oh, you all come to see us now and then
Now Grandma's a-wishing you'd come out the kitchen
And help do the dishes right away
Then they all start a-leaving and though she's a-grieving
You can still hear grandma say
Y'all come
(Y'all come)
Y'all come
(Y'all come)
Oh, you all come to see us when you can
Y'all come
(Y'all come)
Y'all come
(Y'all come)
Oh, you all come to see us now and then
Y'all come
(Y'all come)
Y'all come
(Y'all come)

I know what it's like to have failed, baby

I know what it's like to have been so sure
And to wake up and find it all gone
Now you've got no reason, no reason to trust me
And tonight my confidence is a little rusty
It's getting late and if you don't feel like leavin' alone
Well maybe I can walk you, baby
All the way home

Well they do linger, oh yes they do
Like the shadow of that ring

Well those days darling
All those days are dead and gone
Oh I could walk you, baby

Now there's things no one can rearrange
We both have yesterdays that we can't change
It's closing time, bartender's ringing last call
These days I don't stand on pride
And I've learned how to take a fall
Now the time has come
And if your first choice, he's gone
Well that's alright, baby
'Cause I can walk you all the way home
All the way home
I'll walk you all the way home
All the way home
La la la la la
I'll be home
I'll be home
When your nights are troubled
And you're all alone
When you're feeling down
Need some sympathy
There's no one else around
To keep you company
Remember, baby, you can always count on me

Reflecting on what's been
Though past will be future
When again yesterday to be made
For me hazy times fume all around
Burning grass in a field of endless supplies
Tall people casting shadows on the short
Little people running circles round the wide
Lazy times waste it well
What better to do with my mind !
Crazy times no rhythm too hard
Deep corners and people with my time
Chorus :
Overground in joy in clouds sunlit
Snow untouched make pure silhouette
Catches steam grass and dew
Rays not harm the upward gaze
Hosts bring out a game of openfields on the box
Watch the guests who bring the heat of outside
Flags of faith for boundaries to fight
The young so wise before their time
My time your time all time
My time yout time all time
Repeat Chorus
Rhythm to your right rhythm the other side
Expression outside and poetry inside
Pleasure to your touch
Taste of heaven on your mind
I'll be home, my darling
Please wait for me
We'll stroll along together
Once more our love will be free
At the corner drugstore
Each Saturday we would meet
I'd walk you home in the moonlight
All of these things we'll repeat
So, darling, as I
Write this letter
Here's hoping you're
Thinking of me
My mind's made up
So long until I'll be home
To start serving you
I'll be home, my darling
Please wait for me
I'd walk you home in the moonlight
Once more our love will be free
Darling, as I
Write this letter
Here's hoping you're
Thinking of me
My mind's made up
So long until I'll be home
To start serving you
I'll be home, my darling
Please wait for me
I'll walk you home in the moonlight
I seek for You, take my leave, so fare You well
I lost all hopes, truth may come to light and die
And for my love I pray You, wrong me not
Let us all ring fancy's bell, ding, dong, bell!
Such as I am now for myself alone
My eyes still look, look as swift as Yours
I pray You cure my mind that's drenched with blood
A dancing heart, but not for joy
No power in the tongue of man
My deeds upon my head crushing
head crushing mad,"God sort it all"
You shall deem Yourself loaged in my heart
Sick is my head, let it bleed, desire to die!
I will lend You sorrow, borrow none
I never serve Your mind, I say "no way"!
"Remember You were mine,
'cause You obeyed my wine
My favour stopped to bleed,
over now my greed!"
And You will come, I never serve Your mind
And You will come and leave Your world behind
"I fly away by night, to higher steps of might
I'll be home, my darling
Please wait for me (wait for me)
We'll stroll along together
Once more our love will be free
At the corner drugstore
Each Saturday we would meet (we would meet)
I'd walk you home in the moonlight
All of these things we'll repeat
So darling, as I write this letter
Here's hoping you're thinking of me
My mind's made up
So long until
I'll be home to start serving you
I'll be home, my darling
Please wait for me (wait for me)
I'd walk you home in the moonlight
Once more our love will be free
[Spoken:]
Darling, as I write this letter
Here's hoping you're thinking of me
My mind's made up
So long until
I'll be home to start serving you
I'll be home, my darling
Please wait for me (wait for me)
I'll walk you home in the moonlight
(E.A.Poe)
Jeff performed a reading of this poem by Edgar Allan Poe for the tribute compilation CLOSED ON ACCOUNT OF RABIES, produced by Hal Willner.
The skies were ashen and sober,
The leaves they were crisped and sere,
The leaves they were withering and sere;
It was night in the lonesome October
Of my most immemorial year;
It was hard by the dim lake of Auber,
In the misty mid region of Weir,
It was down by the dank tarn of Auber,
In the ghoul-haunted woodland of Weir.
Here once, through an alley, Titanic,
Of cypress, I roamed with my Soul,
Of cypress, with Psyche, my Soul.
These were days when my heart was volcanic
As the scoriac rivers that roll,
As the lavas that restlessly roll
Their sulphurous currents down Yaaneck
In the ultimate climes of the pole,
That groan as they roll down Mount Yaaneck
In the realms of the boreal pole.
Our talk had been serious and sober,
But our thoughts they were palsied and sere,
Our memories were treacherous and sere,
For we knew not the month was October,
And we marked not the night of the year
(Ah, night of all nights in the year!);
We noted not the dim lake of Auber
(Though once we had journeyed down here),
Remembered not the dank tarn of Auber,
Nor the ghoul-haunted woodland of Weir.
And now, as the night was senescent
And star-dials pointed to morn,
As the star-dials hinted of morn,
At the end of our path a liquescent
And nebulous lustre was born,
Out of which a miraculous crescent
Arose with a duplicate horn
Astarte's bediamonded crescent
Distinct with its duplicate horn.
And I said: "She is warmer than Dian;
She rolls through an ether of sighs,
She reveals in a region of sighs:
She has seen that the tears are not dry on
These cheeks, where the worm never dies,
And has come past the stars of the Lion,
To point us the path to the skies,
To the Lethean peace of the skies;
Come up, in despite of the Lion,
To shine on us with her bright eyes,
Come up through the lair of the Lion,
With love in her luminous eyes."
But Psyche, uplifting her finger,
Said: "Sadly this star I mistrust,
Her pallor I strangely mistrust;
Oh, hasten! oh, let us not linger!
Oh, fly! let us fly! for we must."
In terror she spoke, letting sink her
Wings until they trailed in the dust;
In agony sobbed, letting sink her
Plumes till they trailed in the dust,
Till they sorrowfully trailed in the dust.
I replied: "This is nothing but dreaming:
Let us on by this tremulous light!
Let us bathe in this crystalline light!
Its sibyllic splendor is beaming
With hope and in beauty to-night!
Ah, we safely may trust to its gleaming,
And be sure it will lead us aright;
We safely may trust to a gleaming
That cannot but guide us aright,
Since it flickers up to heaven through the night."
Thus I pacified Psyche and kissed her,
And tempted her out of her gloom,
And conquered her scruples and gloom;
And we passed to the end of the vista,
But were stopped by the door of a tomb,
By the door of a legended tomb,
And I said:"What is written, sweet sister,
On the door of this legended tomb?"
She replied: "Ulalume! Ulalume!
'Tis the vault of thy lost Ulalume!"
Then my heart it grew ashen and sober
As the leaves that were crisped and sere,
As the leaves that were withering and sere,
And I cried: "It was surely October
On this very night of last year
That I journeyed, I journeyed down here,
That I brought a dread burden down here,
Of this night of all nights in the year,
Ah, what demon has tempted me here?
Well I know, now, this dim lake of Auber,
This misty mid region of Weir,
Well I know, now, this dank tarn of Auber,
This ghoul-haunted woodland of Weir."
Said we, then--the two, then--"Ah, can it
Have been that the woodlandish ghouls
The pitiful, the merciful ghouls
To bar up our way and to ban it
From the secret that lies in these wolds
From the thing that lies hidden in these wolds
Had drawn up the spectre of a planet
From the limbo of lunary souls
This sinfully scintillant planet
This life is hard and the road is long that leads me
toward the light
Sometimes I trip and stumble in the night.
My mind becomes so weary I just wanna lay down
But I got to keep on going 'til I reach the higher
ground.
Let this good life be the life I lead
Let my faith grow like a mustard seed
And let your love be all the love I need
To carry me all the way home.
I've had my share of trouble as I've tried to walk this
path
Sometimes it's been so hard I've had to laugh
I've spent so many years in sorrow, much of my life in
pain
But that's just the way it is, you get the sunshine and
the rain.
Let this good life be the life I lead
Let my faith grow like a mustard seed
And let your love be all the love I need
To carry me all the way home.
Hoping to learn, every wrong turn is a step toward the
past.
Going astray, losing my way, but I found it at last.
Let this good life be the life I lead
Let my faith grow like a mustard seed
And let your love be all the love I need

Daniel hollered goodbye to the old river barge
With a dream in his head and a bride in his arms
Everyone said, "You're crazy:
But everyone longed to go
So from Memphis to Lakeport my grandfather came
Six girls and a boy grew up in that Florida rain
They were carried along like leaves on a river of faith
They'd float
All the way home
They followed the tracks that the saints have trod
By the grace of God
They walked in the rain of His mercy
Let it soak them down to the bone
And they splashed in its puddles
And danced in its streams as they'd go
And, oh, they walked in the rain of His mercy
All the way home
I have slept in the house where my mother was born
And I've seen the sun set on the lake that gave birth to those storms
Well, they may not have walked on water
But I know that their house stood firm
All the way home
They followed the tracks that the saints have trod
By the grace of God
They walked in the rain of His mercy
Let it soak them down to the bone
And they splashed in its puddles
And danced in its streams as they'd go
And, oh, they walked in the rain of His mercy
When they sat in their home
When they walked along the road
When they slept and when they rose
The words of the Lord were impressed on their minds
And after all this time
I'm carried along like a leaf on a river of faith
And I'll float
All the way home
Yes, I'll follow the tracks that the saints have trod
By the grace of God
I'll walk in the rain of His mercy
Let it soak me down to the bone
And I'll splash in its puddles
And dance in its streams as I go
And, Lord, I'll walk in the rain of Your mercy

For every mountain that is high He is higher
For every burden that is great He is greater
For every valley that is deep He is deeper still
More than we can know
Our promise is Jesus
Our answer is Jesus
All to Him we owe everything
Our savior is Jesus
Our future is Jesus
All to Him we owe everything
For every fear that closes in He is closer
For every doubt that comes on strong He is stronger
For every battle that we face He has conquered all
More than we can know
We know the great God
We serve the great God
We owe the great God
All I wanted was a sweet distraction for an hour or two
Had no intention to do the things we've done
Funny how it always goes with love, when you don't look, you find
But then we're two of a kind, we move as one
We're an all time high, we'll change all that's gone before
Doin' so much more than falling in love
On an all time high, we'll take on the world and wait
So hold on tight, let the flight begin
I don't want to waste a waking moment, I don't want to sleep
I'm in so strong and so deep, and so are you
In my time I've said these words before but now I realize
My heart was telling me lies, for you they're true
We're an all time high, we'll change all that's gone before
Doing so much more than falling in love
On an all time high, we'll take on the world and wait
So hold on tight, let the flight begin
So hold on tight, let the flight begin
Well, I'm sittin' here beside the railroad track,
And I'm waitin' for that train to bring her back.
If she's not on the five-nineteen,
Then I'm gonna know what sorrow means.
And I'm gonna cry, cry, cry,
All the way home.
(Chorus)
All the way home,
All the way home.
Yes, I'm gonna cry, cry, cry,
All the way home.
Well, her daddy never liked me, this he said.
And he could never get it through his old gray head
That I loved his daughter so,
I did not mean to see her go.
Now I'm gonna cry, cry, cry,
Wait a minute baby, going too fast
Imma turn back, ohhhhh
Wait a minute baby, going too fast
Imma turn back
Dont even know why we fighting for
Damn I need a minute, so baby keep your distance
Heard it out, so imma just go
To find a waiting up, I just need some time alone
Damn where the hell are my keys
I just wanna leave, get in my car, and now imma just drive, all night
Turn off my phone, radio on, and drive
So why im just
Screaming out the road, got my head out of control
Cause I'm thinking about you all the way home
Got a long way to ride and I can’t even deny
I've been Thinking about you all the way home
Wait a minute baby, going too fast
Imma turn back
Thinking about you all the way home
Wait a minute baby, going too fast
Imma turn back
I've been Thinking about you all the way home
Hey baby, im back and I come down
I've done with all cursing
I came to give you something
You got me screaming for a different reason now
Why we break up, stop, turn it up
Neighbors loud, I need down,
I head to my car, I dont wanna go
But its getting late, so why dont I just drive all night
Moving real slow, radio low, just drive
So why im just
Screaming out the road, got my head out of control
Cause I'm thinking about you all the way home
Got a long way to ride and I can’t even deny
I've been Thinking about you all the way home
Wait a minute baby, going too fast
Imma turn back
I've been Thinking about you all the way home
Wait a minute baby, going too fast
Imma turn back
I've been Thinking about you all the way home
And all I road, I knew I shoulda stayed right where I wasnt
Instead of drive and think of you
So why im just
Screaming out the road, got my head out of control
Cause I'm thinking about you all the way home
Got a long way to ride and I can’t even deny
I've been Thinking about you all the way home
Wait a minute baby, going too fast
Imma turn back
I've been Thinking about you all the way home
Wait a minute baby, going too fast
Imma turn back
All I wanted was a sweet distraction for an hour or two.
Had no intention to do the things we've done.
Funny how it always goes with love, when you don't look, you find.
But then we're two of a kind, we move as one.
We're an all time high,
We'll change all that's gone before.
Doing so much more than falling in love.
On an all time high,
We'll take on the world and wait.
So hold on tight, let the flight begin.
I don't want to waste a waking moment; I don't want to sleep.
I'm in so strong and so deep, and so are you.
In my time I've said these words before, but now I realize
My heart was telling me lies, for you they're true.
We're an all time high,
We'll change all that's gone before.
Doing so much more than falling in love.
On an all time high,
We'll take on the world and wait.
So hold on tight, let the flight begin.
So hold on tight, let the flight begin.
We're an all time high.
I'LL BE WHO I AM

Verse 1:
I don't wanna waste another tear
I don't wanna live my life in fear
And I don't wanna deny who I am
Cause I'm aware of the things that I can
I just continue with my life
Chorus:
I don't wanna live my life in fear
And be someone I'm not
I don't wanna hide another year
I'm okay with what I've got
Cause where I've been and what I've done
Is who I am today
It's made me strong enough to say
I'll be who I am
Verse 2:
You have spent your life thinking I'm weird
Just because my life's not engineered
But I don't need a masterplan you see
I have the courage to be me
I just continue with my life
Chorus:
I don't wanna live my life in fear
And be someone I'm not
I don't wanna hide another year
I'm okay with what I've got
Middle 8:
I could spend a thousand years singing this song
Guess that I don't impress you but what is wrong
Key change:
With being yourself and accepting who you are
Look at the past - someone likes you how you are
Cause where you've been and what you've done
Is who you are today
It can make you strong enough to say:
Hindi mo man sabihin
Nadarama ko rin
Na ikaw ay mayro'n ding
Pag-ibig sa akin
Kahit na anong gawin
Hindi maikukubli
Ba't di pa pagbigyan
Ang ating puso't damdamin
Wag kang mag-alala
Ikaw lang ang iibigin
Iniingatang pag-ibig
Tanging alay sa iyo
Chorus:
Mga alaala mo'y saya sa damdamin
Puso'y dumadalangin pag-ibig sana'y tanggapin
Mga alaala mo'y kay sarap isipin
Bawat sandali'y kapiling
O kay sarap dam'hin
Kung kailan maghihintay
Upang iyong sabihin, itinatagong pag-ibig mo
Kailan makakamit
Kahit na anong gawin
Hindi maikukubli
Ba't di pa pagbigyan
Ang ating puso't damdamin
Wag kang mag-alala
Ikaw lang ang iibigin
Iniingatang pag-ibig
Tanging alay sa iyo
Chorus:
Mga alaala mo'y saya sa damdamin
Puso'y dumadalangin pag-ibig sana'y tanggapin
Mga alaala mo'y kay sarap isipin
Bawat sandali'y kapiling
O kay sarap dam'hin
(Interlude)
Chorus:2x
Mga alaala mo'y saya sa damdamin
Puso'y dumadalangin pag-ibig sana'y tanggapin
Mga alaala mo'y kay sarap isipin
Bawat sandali'y kapiling

Se le ve sonriente, se le ve contento
poco se acelera el es mas de respeto
alla por Jalisco lo miran pasenado
va pa California muy de vez en cuando
a arreglar negocios, arreglar pendientes
se despide El May y sigue sonriente
su pistola al cinto pa cualquier pendiente
hay le va el saludo pa Tierra Caliente
el es Michoacano...
Maybe i’ll wish your heart
And we’ll stay together
Maybe i’ll wish your hate
Your pain…never!
I will be here waiting for you
The turn will come to me now
Now!
You will come now…
Start now your kingdom
Start now your fear
You’re under power
You, come here
You are lost in the night
When the moon appears
Desperation
You have bodyache!
Your madness is fool
Look around you the fear is strong
Scream, run, hide
Anyway, you will come
I look in your eyes
The fear in your heart, your heart!
Your mind is blind
Your nec is taut
Your loneliness follows you
Your thoughts are black
You’ll maybe run
When you know
The destiny of your soul
You could smell
Rotten flesh
And you’ll feel hate and fear
But now you are confused
Your end comes close
The darkness in your head
Find your root
Now you think
Across the oceans
You, do it now!
Brake your head
And your dreams are scary
The screams of mirrors and the time
The priest is speaking
And the evil is tempting
Though weeds, you are running!
Look at your front, or you’ll go down
Come to me, it’s an order

I'll be home, my darling
Please wait for me
(Wait for me)
We'll stroll along together
Once more our love will be free
At the corner drugstore
Each Saturday we would meet
(We would meet)
I'd walk you home in the moonlight
All of these things we'll repeat
So darling, as I write this letter
Here's hoping you're thinking of me
My time's about up
So long until I'll be home to start serving you
I'll be home, my darling
Please wait for me
(Wait for me)
We'll stroll along together
All of these things we'll repeat
So, darling, as I write this letter
Here's hoping, here's hoping you're thinking of me
Because my time's about up, doll
So long until I'll be home to start serving you
I'll be home, my darling
Please wait for me
(Wait for me)
We'll stroll along together
Well when you live in the country everybody is your neighbor
On this one thing you can rely
They'll all come to see you and they'll never never leave you
Saying y'all come to see us by and by
Y'all come (y'all come) y'all come (y'all come)
Oh y'all come to see us when you can
Y'all come (y'all come) y'all come (y'all come)
Oh y'all come to see us now and then
[ guitar ]
The kinfolks're comin' they're comin' by the dozen
They're eatin' everything from soup to hay
And right after dinner they ain't looking any thinner
And here's what you'll hear 'em say
Y'all come (y'all come)...
[ guitar ]
Well now grandma's a wishing they'd come to kitchen
And help her do the dishes right away
But they all start leavin' even though she's a grievin'
You can still hear grandma say
Y'all come (y'all come)...
I want a yellow you a yellow me
can't you see what is ailing me
I want a yellow you a yellow me
can't you see what is wrong.
You can send me up to heaven
you can keep me down and alive
you can take me down to hell with you
or become my true blue wife.
I want a yellow you a yellow me
can't you see what is ailing me
I want a yellow you a yellow me
can't you see what is wrong.
You can break me up in pieces
you can keep me whole and astride
you can give me to the leacher or
to stay with me and abide.
I want a yellow you a yellow me
can't you see what is ailing me
I want a yellow you a yellow me
can't you see what is wrong.
You can throw me in the jailhouse
you can throw me down to the sharks
you would do it for the kick of it
or just to hear the dogs bark.
I want a yellow you a yellow me
can't you see what is ailing me
I want a yellow you a yellow me
can't you see what is wrong.
There's one thing more that you can do
go away and cut out the lie
I'm in love and always will be, so
why don't you go away and die.
I want a yellow you a yellow me
can't you see what is ailing me
I want a yellow you a yellow me
can't you see what is wrong.

Well I'll be home before the morning, babyI know you'll
be staying up all night
And I'll be home before the sun comes rising
I'll walk down your road until I see your light
Well I know that you maybe kind of missed me baby
I know that I can't live without you
Well I know that we maybe had some tough times
But I'm coming home just to be with you
So try and get a good rest
'Cause we're not gonna sleep
No we're not gonna want to sleep today
Well I went out west to get away from the city
I found out this city is my home
And I'd be lying if I said I didn't ever think of you
'Cause you've been on my mind and you're the reason that
I'm home
So try and get a good rest
'Cause we're not gonna sleep
