Where do Goths Come From?
I have returned with one hell of a story!
To talk about the actual story, instead of the myth that's been told, it requires me to go away from linear storytelling, so hopefully that turned well. I intend to keep talking about goths so stay tuned!
Given the nature of this video, and my desire to be a bit more transparent, I'll release a script with citations in the description. I just need more time to clean up the document, then I'll release it.

The History of the Ostrogoths (378-562)
On the ninth of August 378 AD, a force of Gothic refugees under the command of Fritigern, destroyed a Roman field army at Adrianople. Emperor Valens himself perished during the fighting. Coming from the Pontic steppe, these Goths fled the oppression of the Huns to take refuge in the Roman empire. From this day onwards, various groups of Goths would strive for a safe home inside imperial territory. One of these groups, the Ostrogoths, would eventually establish a powerful kingdom at the heart of the classical empire.

When J. R. R. Tolkien was writing his best-known work, The Lord of the Rings, between 1937 and 1949, he drew inspiration from various sources, with the largest well of inspiration being European folklore. However, according to some sources, he would also use real-life historical figures and base his characters on them. Take Théoden, for example. Théoden was an aging king of Rohan who, after Gandalf the wizard helped him strip the yoke of Grima Wormtongue, rode into battle and died being crushed by his horse.
