My experience with the first employee from TrancePlants.net was very good, 9.5/10. He didn't forget anything or screw up at all (from what I can tell). Unfortunately, that employee went on holiday just before shipping my order, so someone else had to fulfill my order. The second employee working at the time (I won't name names, but he knows who he is) was either forgetful or unaware of various details of the original order such as tracking #, cash on delivery (COD), the samples, crushed Polish calamus root instead of whole Indian calamus root etc. I would give my experience with him a 6 /10. He did give me three free gifts (the teas, which boosts his rating a bit) with my first order for screwing up, though, so I'm thankful for that. Anyways... Cebil (Anadenanthera colubrina) Seeds: I have not tried these before ordering. After receiving my order, I've tried smoking a small amount in bong (~1 seed), which is VERY harsh and hard to hold in. I ran straight to my toilet to let loose some pre-nausea saliva, but I never ended up vomiting. I got an odd high feeling from these, accompanied by odd breathing, nausea, and a slight headache. Sweet Flag (Acorus Calamus) Root: I have tried calamus from Shaman's garden before. I ordered whole Indian roots, but received crushed Polish roots. Thankfully, the whole Indian roots were sent quickly with no charge. The whole roots I received later are better quality than the ones I received from Shaman's Garden, being larger, darker, and more aromatic. I have yet to consume any of their whole root. I've made tea out of the crushed roots, which helps with digestive issues, gives a sedative feeling, eases a sore throat, and tastes nice (as long as you don't add too much or don't steep it at boiling temperature). Smoking gives a relaxing stimulant effect (not a paradox). Syrian Rue (Peganum harmala) Seeds: I have not tried syrian rue before ordering. I made a very simple tea with 3g of seeds, experienced little to no effects (except a slight antidepressant effect, no nausea). I will try a proper syrian rue brew next time (3-5g). The tea tasted like stale coffee grounds. Damiana (turnera diffusa) herb: I have not tried damiana before ordering. From smoking small amounts in bong and joint, I've received a mild stoned feeling, uplifting of spirits/vision, slight euphoria, and a bit of a sore throat, but nothing too bad. The tea is also quite nice, as well, providing similar effects with less throat strain. The tea is nice to drink while smoking a joint of damiana, as it helps ease the throat. Wormwood (artemisia absinthium) absinthe herb: I have not tried wormwood before ordering. I have tried mugwort, a related herb (artemisia vulgaris), in tea and pipe. It is quite harsh to smoke, but the tea tastes OK. It almost always gives me (sometimes semi-recurring) dreams that I can remember more than usual (I am an almost daily cannabis smoker, so my dream recall/REM sleep isn't very good). My throat feels dry and sore after a night of smoking, however. Siberian Amanita Muscaria (Fly Agaric) caps: The only other ethnobotanical I've bought/consumed. These ones look nice, but when I ate 4.25g of them, each cap was quite gritty, something that was rare with the ones I've received from Shaman's Garden and IAmShaman. 4.25g was a very mild experience, with some nodding/sedation and odd "high" feeling (pretty much what I expected from 4.25g, as I was just testing potency). I will likely try ~9g next time (soon) to see if I can achieve a real trance/experience/vision (or whatever will come to me). Gifts: Caramel Rooibos tea: I have not tried this yet. Vanilla Bourbon Rooibos tea: I have not tried this yet. Hojicha tea: Very nice Japanese green tea/oolong-like tea (about two teaspoons in each cup). A bit smoky, and less astringent than normal green tea (Hojicha is roasted instead of steamed when produced). It's something I will definitely buy if I get the chance.
