1. An Introduction to the Southwest Australia Ecoregion
The Southwest Australia Ecoregion is one of the most biologically diverse areas on earth, and is unique, even within the bounds of Australia's huge array of weird and wonderful wildlife. The region's global significance is based on high levels of natural diversity, particularly for plants, coupled with high levels of threat to that diversity. It is one of the world's 34 official biodiversity hotspots as recognised by Conservation International. To qualify as a hotspot, a region must meet two strict criteria: it must contain at least 1500 species of vascular (higher order) plants as endemics, and it has to have lost at least 70% of its original habitat.

*About this Project*
The United Nations University together with Aleine Ecological movement of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan’s Academy of Sciences - Institute of Zoology and Parasitology, and Foundation of sustainable development of Altai, collaborated as partners in the coordination, production and dissemination of 3 short videos dealing with Central Asian Indigenous Perspectives on Climate Change. Collaboratively made with Indigenous storytellers, the videobriefs are told in local languages, respect Intellectual Property rights and provide storytellers with media training, resources and a fair media engagement model for future projects. The final videos played alongside other international climate change videos at a locally coordinated forum event and later at a special screening at the National Museum of Denmark during the Copenhagen COP15 meeting.

My first crack at the new equipment (Letus and Magic Bullet). Overall it went okay. A few problems with focus and viewable grain from the adapter glass.
The Cerrado Region is an area in Brazil known for its farmland. It is a tropical savannah ecoregion and is the biologically richest savannah in the world. The footage was shot on two farms over the course of two days.
