The Early November - Tell Me Why
itunes.apple.com www.facebook.com Tell me why you left. Tell me where you went. Tell me why Am I worth the time. Tell me all you want To keep me holding on Tell me lies Tell me why. Just like wind you're gone. You won't stay. You're afraid to settle like ashes. You said you need a silhouette, and I'm a shadow standing in your way. So go, I guess you'll find a million there. One of them will need you and your silver hair when you're gone. Tell me why you left. Tell me where you went. Tell me why Am I worth the time. Tell me all you want To keep me holding on Tell me lies Tell me why. Just like wind you're gone. Leaving me breathless and alone.

Early Morning Cold Taxi --The Who
Early Morning Cold Taxi by The Who off The Who Sell Out 3:36, it's cold, I know I'm growing old, With life's best side on the downward slope, It's in my own hands, I know I'll cope, My girl's with me and all my friends can see Here I am again, Early morning cold taxi Early morning cold taxi Done it before, do it again, Know from experience it's not in vain, She's the best I've had, I cannot see, what someone else can do to me It's a long way home but love's so warm, you'll see Here I am again, Early morning cold taxi Early morning cold taxi Early morning cold taxi, Each time I do it, I feel so down and out, Early morning cold taxi, 'though my mind thinks strange I'll keep on, no doubt 3:36, it's cold, I know I'm growing old, One day we'll be wed, This I know for it's what she said, Then no more will my mind be uneasy Early morning cold taxi, Each time I do it, I feel so down and out, Early morning cold taxi, 'though my mind thinks strange I'll keep on, no doubt 3:36, it's cold, I know I'm growing old, One day we'll be wed, This I know for it's what she said, Then no more will my mind be uneasy Here I am again, Early morning cold taxi Early morning cold taxi

Canon EOS C300 = Awesome
In early Fall 2011, I shot some footage with a pre-production model of the Canon EOS C300 for one week in NYC. I created an article and a video for Canon based on my experiences with the camera. The video is meant to poke fun at most camera test videos I've seen over the years. Canon, not thrilled with my sense of humor, does not credit or condone this video, but I think it shows a lot of the camera's strengths.
You can read my full article about the EOS C300 here: learn.usa.canon.com/resources/articles/2011/c300_for_cinematographers.shtml
I believe that Canon made a beautiful camera that is sensible, reliable and portable in a way that I've always dreamed a camera could be. It prioritizes great skin tone and has higher ISO sensitivity than any other camera out there.
I know there's nothing I can say to change the minds of the RED fan club. For the rest of the skeptics, I think once you get your hands on it you'll understand how great this camera really is. Please buy this camera in January and go film some good skin tones in the dark. You'll love it.
Thanks go out to all my friends for helping me with this.

Take a dark journey into the forgotten, where time stands still. The paint has peeled off the walls and the only occupants are the souls of those left behind. This is the Asylum.
Opened in the early 1920s, the Asylum closed down and was abandoned decades ago. Rooms remain untouched – left as they were when the last of the employees departed. These buildings stand as a testament to the horrors and mistreatment that patients had to endure during the time of its operation.
Our 7 month journey into the Asylum led us on many adventures; from dodging security vehicles, ghostly figures and even a meth head. This is no place for the faint of heart. Asbestos blanketed every room we entered like new winter snow, so shooting was sometimes difficult.
This project is a combination of traditional HDR, tone-mapping, and standard time-lapse techniques. With the use of the Dynamic Perception Stage Zero and a Merlin head, we were able to capture the grit and the grime of this wondrous place, like it had never been captured before. Every single frame in this production is a still photograph, no video was shot. It took nearly 35,000 individual frames over 7 months to complete this project.
In return, it took tremendous help from many individuals to complete this project.
Many thanks to, Russ Scalf, Chris Griffin, Nick Kurtz, Brett Cote, Walter Wayman and Laura Buchta.Without you, this project wouldn't be possible.

Lightning strikes three of the tallest buildings in Chicago at the same time!
On June 23rd, 2010 a line of nasty storms rolled through Chicago in the early evening hours. I stayed late at the office that night to work on some things and to avoid the rush hour chaos that was going on. Once I returned home I wasn't really paying attention to what was happening outside until someone asked me if I was watching the lightning. I took a quick look out my window and saw some quick hits of lightning and ran back to my room to grab my camera and tripod. I was standing out there randomly hitting the record button and hoping I would catch some of the strikes. About 15 minutes in nothing was happening during my current recording so I reached to stop it and start a new one. At the moment I touched the camera three of the tallest buildings in Chicago were struck by lightning at the same time. Willis Tower (Tallest), Trump International Hotel and Tower (2nd Tallest) and the John Hancock Building(4th tallest). If you listen closely, you can hear me lightly say "yes!" after the triple strike happens.
**** 6/27 - Posted the sequel with more strikes from this storm! http://vimeo.com/12905965 ***
HD Video was shot on a Canon EOS 7D. Video was edited with Sony Vegas Movie Studio.
