I, Robot (Trailer 2004)
It's the year 2035, and the community now has the help of robots. These robots have three laws integrated into their system. One, they cannot harm a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. Two, they must do whatever they're told by a human being as long as such orders don't conflict with law one. Three, they have to defend themselves as long as such defense doesn't conflict with laws one or two. One day, the writer of the three laws, Alfred Lanning, apparently jumps out of the tenth-floor window of US Robotics. The majority of the Chicago Police Department believe that he committed suicide, but Detective Del Spooner (Smith), who hates robots, thinks he was murdered, and the number one suspect is a Nestor Class-5 robot who calls himself Sonny. However, if it was Sonny, then that means he would've had to have broken the three laws. With the help of Dr. Susan Calvin, Spooner must now discover the truth before it's too late.

I, Robot Review - Yeah, It's That Bad Movie Review Podcast
For many years an adaptation of Isaac Asimov's classic collection of short stories I, Robot had bounced around Hollywood without much progress; but in 2004 a big budget action film starring Will Smith made it to the big screen. Was this a faithful adaption of the source material, or a generic action movie piggy backing off of the source material's notoriety? -Show Notes- Directed by: Alex Proyas Written by: Jeff Vintar, Akiva Goldsman, Hillary Seitz Starring: Will Smith, Bridget Moynahan, Bruce Greenwood, James Cromwell, Chi McBride, Alan Tudyk, Shia LeBeouf Yeah, It's That Bad is a movie podcast that reviews movies which are considered to be awful remakes, box office bombs, useless sequels and other critically hated films; and we ask the question: "is it really that bad?" Robbie - A Short Film By Neil Harvey
The story of Robbie follows the touching recollection of an artificially intelligent robot's time on Earth, until that time comes to an inevitable end. Robbie is a tender science fiction film that revels in the joy and sympathizes with the sadness of Robbie's 'life' and explores the concept of accepting life must someday end. "I liked the idea of transposing that sentiment through a being with artificial intelligence, as it makes it a little less confronting for the audience." It is a credit to Harvey's editing skills that none of the footage in Robbie is his own; instead, Harvey chose to create a film using only footage taken from the NASA archives, piecing material together to form his narrative. Brought to life through footage of NASA's Robonaut, the character of Robbie is both captivating and touching. The voiceover narrative -- told from Robbie's point of view -- is somehow simultaneously robotic and human, and by the film's end successfully creates an emotional bond between robot and audience. When asked about how he develops his narratives, Harvey tells of thoroughly researching concepts over time to allow his ideas to flourish.

Alan Parsons Project - Sirius Eye in the Sky (Live 1995)
After showing early promise as a musician - learning piano, guitar and flute as a child, Alan started to take on the role of listener rather than the player. Although still working as a musician in the late sixties he turned his attention to a career at the famous Abbey Road Studios in London, where he was fortunate enough to have participated in the last works of The Beatles. He was assistant engineer on "Let It Be" and the brilliant "Abbey Road" album. A long association followed; both with the studio and Paul McCartney. When the Beatles split up, Alan went on to engineer such classics as Wings "Red Rose Speedway" album and the singles "Hi Hi HI" and "C Moon". He had a similar association with The Hollies on many hits including "He Ain't Heavy He's My Brother", and "The Air That I Breathe". This was only the beginning however; As the engineering mastermind behind Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" album, Alan became highly sought after as one of the new breed of creative engineers. His decision to enter into production resulted in immediate success. He clocked up several hits with Pilot, Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel, John Miles, and Al Stewart. With all this success, Alan found a very real need for management and business guidance. It was then that Eric Woolfson, with whom he had worked at Abbey Road, became actively involved in steering Alan towards becoming an artist in his own right. Although they started with a business venture, Eric was to use his songwriting ...
