Shrub - We Wanna Smoke
Rap, reggae, rock artist, Shrub, performing the original song, " We Wanna Smoke " from their debut album, Señorita. shrubnation.com http facebook.com The midwest has long been a hotbed for successful rap artists, but Shrub's fusion of Rap, Reggae, and Rock brings a whole new flavor to the scene. Shrub's debut EP, Señorita, is quickly setting this Columbus, Ohio band apart from the pack. From the ganja-induced, club anthem "We Wanna Smoke"; to the dancehall banger "Come And Get It"; to a much more emotional side on "Cherries" and the rest of the album, Shrub has tapped into a unique and raw sound all his own. Señorita features guest appearances by: DJ Rasta Root (co-owner of Smokin Needles Records with Phife Dawg and current DJ for Chip Fu of the Fu-schnickens), Lyrical (artist/producer for Myrical Records), and the beautiful and talented powerhouse singer/songwriter Jenny Flory (from the Wonder Twin Powers!) Not to mention the sick album artwork by none other than Opie Ortiz (from the Long Beach Dub Allstars and also a well-known Sublime artist/friend). Shrub is currently working with Reggae producer, Dubmatix, on a 3 song dub remix companion album to Señorita. Stay tuned for big 'tings.

How to Trim Shrubs and Prune Hedges - Do It Yourself
Hedges tell a lot about your home and can add a lot of personality to your home as well, however, every season they will need to be maintained. There are two forms of hedging which is informal and formal hedging. Informal hedging gives your shrubs a natural look, while formal edging requires straight lines, angles and and curves. For any pruning project you will need: pruners, loppers and sheers. Not only does pruning keep a plant healthy, but by removing dead limbs you can prevent other limbs from dying, and increasing the life span of your plant. The best time of the season to prune a shrub or hedge will depend on the type of plant. If the plant buds in the early spring, late summer is when pruning should occur. If the plant blooms late spring, fall or winter will suffice. For non-flowering hedges, prune in the fall or winter as well. Some common misconceptions of hedges should be avoided. Every cut encourages new growth, so never cut just the top of the hedge, it will create a thicker head, and therefore will kill the branches near the bottom who aren't receiving sunlight. Also make sure the sides of each shrub are vertical so that every part of the shrub can get sunlight. Informal hedging is simple. Cut dead limbs at base of plant, and you are done. If the head of a shrub looks thick, cut out extra limbs so that sunlight can penetrate the plant. For formal hedging you may need more supplies such as, hedge sheers, steaks, string, hammer, square and a tape measure ...

Choosing Trees and Shrubs and Where to Plant Them
Choosing the right trees and shrubs and knowing where to plant them can add decorative curb appeal, create privacy and can reduce heating and cooling costs. Get more tips about trees and shrubs in the full article at lowescreativeideas.com 1. Identify the purpose - Large, leafy trees provide shade, tall hedges provide privacy and small, brightly colored trees can add color. 2. Choose a location - Match the species with the soil and sunlight conditions. 3. Fill the space - Small trees should be 8 feet or more from the house, but large trees need 15 feet of space. Avoid planting large trees near power lines, sidewalks and septic systems. 4. Choose deciduous, evergreen or both - Mixing deciduous and evergreen trees and shrubs will provide contrasting foliage throughout the year. Planting deciduous trees near the house provides shade in the summer and allows light in during the winter. Planting evergreen trees on the north and south sides of the house can reduce wind during the winter. Choosing trees and shrubs and their placement carefully can help you create a lush, green landscape that is both functional and pleasing to the eye. Stratford Smart Meter Killing Shrub
Three shrubs have been growing against the brick wall of this home for several years. They had such healthy and thich growth that a robin built her nest above the old electrical meter that had been here for years. About three months ago, the old but perfectly servicable electric meter was removed and replaced with a 'smart meter' which sends information to the electrical utility company by microwave radiation signals. This meter sends signals almost continuously, as can be seen and heard by the radio frequency meter readings. The damage caused by the radiation can be seen very clearly in this video. The harm to the shrub is much worse close to the meter and the damage decreases with the distance. At about three metres away, the shrub is quite healthy with bright green leaves. The leaves closest to the meter appear to be dried and diseased. According to Health Canada, microwave radiation at this level, which is below their safety standards, does not cause biological harm. The resident of this home has suffered sleep problems since the meter was installed.
