Erik Satie - Gymnopedie No.3 (Orchestrated by Debussy)
The Gymnopédies, published in Paris starting in 1888, are three piano compositions written by French composer and pianist, Erik Satie. These short, atmospheric pieces are written in 3/4 time, with each sharing a common theme and structure. Collectively, the Gymnopedies are regarded as the precursors to modern ambient music - gentle yet somewhat eccentric pieces which, when composed, defied the classical tradition. For instance, the first few bars feature a disjunct chordal theme in the bass - first, a G-major 7th in the bass, and then a B-minor chord, also in the lower register. Then comes the one-note theme in D major. Although the collection of chords at first seems too complex to be harmonious, the melody soon imbues the work with a soothing atmospheric quality. Satie himself used the term "furniture music" to refer to some of his pieces, implying they could be used as mood-setting background music. However, Satie used this term to refer to only some of his later, 20th century compositions, without specific reference to the Gymnopédies as background music. From the second half of the 20th century on, the Gymnopédies were often erroneously described as part of Satie's body of furniture music, perhaps due to John Cage's interpretation of them. By the end of 1896 Satie's popularity and financial situation were ebbing. Debussy, whose popularity was rising at the time, helped draw public attention to the work of his friend. Debussy expressed his belief that the 2nd ...

Malukah - The Dragonborn Comes (Orchestrated)
Being a fan of Jeremy Soule I came across Malukah's rendition of this beautiful song. I tried to capture the feeling of 'adventure' while still holding on to the haunting vocals. I know there is already a orchestrated version of this song, but I felt compelled to give it a try anyhow! See Malukah's original video here: www.youtube.com Guitar/Vocals: Malukah Orchestra arrangement: Myself All rights go to Bethesda Studios, and Jeremy Soule for the original composition.

Pokemon Black - Vs. Ghetsis (Orchestrated)
Wow, was this fun to make. Here to celebrate me beating Pokemon Black, is an orchestrated version of Ghetsis's battle theme using East West Symphonic Orchestra. I worked all day on this, and I'd say it turned out pretty well. Turn up the volume if you want the full effect of the drums. Also, listen in HD. Enjoy. PS Youtube suggested the "tough guy" tag. O -o

Salbuchi - Will It Be World Government? - Part 2: "Orchestration"
Describes how the New World Order-promoting Think Tanks, Lobbies and NGO's operate as strategic and tactical DESIGNERS AND PLANNERS. The actual EXECUTION of their plans, however, is done from each Member's "natural place of action", ie, as CEO or decision-maker at Multinational Corporations, Transnational Banks, Multilateral Institutions, Ivy-League Universities, The Media or Governement. Now, they are going for World Government...!

Rogue - Assassin's Creed 3 Dubstep (Re-Orchestration) [Free DL]
Free Download link - www.facebook.com --- Hey guys, I decided to make this tune after I bought and played AC3, because the music and the game itself inspired me so much. I hope you enjoy my rendition as much as I did making it :) Shout out to Lorne Balfe for making such an epic score, and to Ubisoft for making such an inspiring game! :) Original track - www.youtube.com Assassin's Creed Game Trailer - www.youtube.com Disclaimer: I do not claim to have written the melodies used in the original track, but to have re-orchestrated and added to them. All rights to the original track belong to Ubisoft and Lorne Balfe. Side note: It's technically not a remix as I didn't use any samples from the original track, I just recreated everything myself, hence the 'Re-Orchestration'. Basically it's a Dubstep cover! Connect with me! www.twitter.com www.facebook.com www.YouTube.com www.soundcloud.com But y? lol. The URL has 'wo8ub' in it. Win!

Memory - Piano / Orchestral - Carlton Forrester
"Memory" (often called Memories) was a popular song in the early 80's as the climax theme in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical "Cats". I was just a kid then, and picked up the tune from the radio and played it a lot. I was playing it the other day and got the idea to record my own arrangement with orchestration. So, here it is! Get the sheet music here: carltonforrester.com . The song was recorded using the Ivory II for piano and Vienna Instruments for strings, brass, woodwinds, and percussion. It's been a while since my last video and a few things have changed in my recording setup (for those who are interested in such things)... For one, I've started using the new Ivory 2 Grand Pianos sample library and I really like it! It's not a groundbreaking upgrade from Ivory but there are several enhancements that I really appreciate. I believe my favorite is the new Timbre Shift capability. For me the advantage of this feature is that it allows better placement of the piano track within a mix. Previously, in Ivory, a solo part would sound great, but then added to a mix of other instruments, it would get lost. Second, I've replaced my DAW computer with a newer, more powerful PC -- which turned out to be a real task. Anyone who uses a DAW with hundreds of gigabytes of samples and instruments probably understands the time consuming job of installing these libraries. It seems like it took me days to finishing the install process and get everything set up the way I had it on my old ...
