Climate Zones
A string of recent warm winters has a national arborist group calling for a change to Tennessee's USDA climate zone. That means certain plants could be sold here that previously were in gardens much further south of the Volunteer State.

Climate Change Update (12 April 2011) Radiation Zone Japan (Now 20 Miles)
Japan on Monday expanded the evacuation zone around its crippled nuclear plant because of high levels of accumulated radiation, as a strong aftershock rattled the area one month after a quake and tsunami sparked the worst nuclear crisis since Chernobyl. A magnitude 7.1 tremor shook buildings in Tokyo and a wide swathe of eastern Japan on Monday evening, triggering a small tsunami alert. NHK state television said it caused the off-site power supply for two damaged reactors to shut down. The US Geological Survey said the aftershock struck 38 km (24 miles) west of the city of Iwaki, at a depth of 13 km (8 miles). Tokyo Electric Power Co (TEPCO), which operates the plant, said workers had stopped pouring cooling water on reactors No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 at Fukushima. Chief Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano said villages and towns outside the 20 km (12 mile) evacuation zone that have had more accumulated radiation would be evacuated. Children, pregnant women, and hospitalized patients should stay out of some areas 20-30 km from the Fukushima nuclear complex, he added. www.sott.net New eruptions reported at Etna volcano in Italy theextinctionprotocol.wordpress.com Number Of Days Of Rain In Iberian Peninsula Has Increased Since 1903 thewatchers.adorraeli.com "Breaking News" Japan Confirms Fukushima Daiichi Now (Chernobyl Level 7 Incident ) 11.04.11 www.youtube.com Japan Nuclear Radiation In Hawaii Milk 2033% Above Federal Drinking Water Limits New EPA milk samples in Hawaii show ...

Climate Change Update (21 April 2011) No-Go Zone 20km Fukishima Japan *strict enforcement*
Situation Update No. 93 On 21.04.2011 at 03:34 GMT+2 Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan visited the Fukushima prefecture as the 20-km evacuation area around the crippled nuclear power plant was officially declared a no-go zone on Thursday, Japan Today reported. The authorities officially banned all unauthorized entry to areas within a 20-kilometer radius of the plant starting from midnight local time. The prime minister was "to discuss the plans for strict enforcement of the evacuation zone" with local officials and evacuees during his visit, the news portal said. Chief Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano said the move was aimed at preventing radiation exposure and looting. Until Thursday, police could not legally deny entry to evacuees, who returned to their homes after the evacuation announcement on March 12. Japanese officials plan to organize short trips for residents willing to collect their belongings in the near future. hisz.rsoe.hu US: Arkansas investigating mysterious natural gas flowing from Quitman well www.sott.net Chicago has coolest spring since 1940 theextinctionprotocol.wordpress.com Geomagnetic storm in progress thewatchers.adorraeli.com 51777 More Than 450 Flights Cancelled in Chicago to Severe Storms www.ubalert.com VIDEOS: Tepco Admit Possible Meltdown At Reactor No 1 (20.04.11) www.youtube.com 桜島ライブカメラ 2011-04-21 08時~12時 Volcano Sakurajima www.youtube.com Magnitude 6.0 earthquake hits eastern Japan April 20th 2011 www.youtube.com US WEATHER: 300 ...

Amazing Places At Kew Gardens
(Pls Watch in Full HD 720 or 1080 ) ** These are a few places which I captured at Kew..It is so huge and it is impossible to cover the whole of it..Hope you will like these plants and bushes like me...** The vast Princess of Wales Conservatory recreates ten climatic zones under one roof. Beneath its sloping glass roof, visitors can wander among Madagascan baobob trees, observe climbing vanilla orchids from Central America and watch carnivorous plants from Asia eating flies for lunch. The Princess of Wales Conservatory was commissioned in 1982 to replace a group of 26 smaller buildings that were falling into disrepair. It was named after Princess Augusta, founder of Kew, and opened in 1987 by Lady Diana, Princess of Wales. It is the most complex conservatory at Kew, containing ten computer-controlled climatic zones under one roof. The two main climate zones are the 'dry tropics', representing the world's warm, arid areas, and the 'wet tropics', housing moisture loving plants from ecosystems such as rainforests and mangrove swamps. The eight remaining microclimates include a seasonally dry zone containing desert and savanna plants, plus sections for carnivorous plants, ferns and orchids. The southern end is heated more by the sun than the northern end, so this is where visitors find towering spikes of echiums and silver agaves from dry tropical regions such as the arid Canary Islands. The central area contains an elevated aquaria, complete with waterlily pond and the ...

North
Svalbard is an archipelago high within the Arctic Circle. The largest of its islands is called Spitsbergen, meaning “pointed mountains.” In 1920 a treaty known as the Svalbard Act was signed by several nations recognising Norwegian sovereignty over the islands, and declaring the whole region a demilitarized zone.
This is a short film about how Svalbard, over the course of recent history, became increasingly linked to developments in climate science, and climate change. Much of the footage was shot whilst on residency in the Arctic Circle in 2010.
It is brief for a subject so large, and lacks the detail of key facts and figures that would provide a much better understanding of the current consensus on climate. Then again, you may perhaps feel it has too many numbers already. It is my hope that regardless of what you make of the content, you will find it beautiful to watch.

I was touring throughout December and January (with the Glitterbug live show), so the only way to make a new video for Gold Panda was to make it along the way. So I filmed the people and places I met. I wanted to keep the personal humbleness of the track, it's warmth and beauty and to simply focus on people and the notion of something shared, regardless of place, situation or climate zone...
I always showed whoever I filmed footage from previous shoots, so people would see one another, and in some sense strangers became friends and the video grew a life of its own. The funny thing was that many strangers came up to me along the way so fascinated by the light of the lantern and asked me if they could please have one... So I left most behind and came back home with almost none, loving the idea that the video just continues on its own...

Summer in Georgia
www.georgiatraveller.com Georgia საქართველო, Sakartvelo is a Eurasian country in the Caucasus located at the east coast of the Black Sea. It is bordered on the north by Russia, on the south by Turkey and Armenia, and on the east by Azerbaijan. It is aTranscontinental country , located at the juncture of Eastern Europe and Western Asia. The republic of Georgia has a lot to offer to tourists, for example subtropical landscapes with citrus fruit and tea fields, a coastline with palm trees, magnificent mountains with climbing and trekking opportunities and ski resorts. The climate of Georgia is extremely diverse, considering the nation's small size. There are two main climatic zones, roughly separating Eastern and Western parts of the country. The Greater Caucasus Mountain Range plays an important role in moderating Georgia's climate and protects the Georgia from the penetration of colder air masses from the north. The Lesser Caucasus Mountains partially protect the region from the influence of dry and hot air masses from the south as well. Much of western Georgia lies within the northern periphery of the humid subtropical zone. Eastern Georgia has a transitional climate from humid subtropical to continental. But Georgia also has a Christian culture dating from the first century and is the cradle of wine-making and drinking. In recent years, the tourist infrastructure (as part of the general infrastructure and economy) have improved dramatically. The number of ...

sri lanka National zoological gardens Dehiwala
Sri Lanka is a tropical island situated close to the southern tip of India. The bird life of Sri Lanka is very rich for its size, and about 433 species have been recorded. In addition to the many resident birds, a considerable number of migratory species winter in the country to escape their northern breeding grounds. 233 species are resident, of which the most important are the 26 endemics. The other resident species are also found in the adjacent Indian mainland, but over 80 have developed distinct Sri Lankan races. Some of these races are very different in their plumage characteristics from the related forms in India. Bird distribution in Sri Lanka is largely determined by its climatic zones. The dry zone is largest of the three, covering more than half of the area of the island, with a prolonged dry and hot period and only one monsoon (the northeast monsoon from October to January). The wet zone, with two monsoons, is in the southwestern quarter of the island, where the few remaining rain forests are found and humidity is high. The central hill zone rises to over 2450 m (8-10000 ft) and has a cool temperate climate. Most of the 26 endemic species are confined to the wet and the hill zones, with only a few extending into the dry zone as well.

Ninety oil workers have been evacuated from a North Sea rig as engineers fight to control a huge build up of pressure in a well which critics say has the potential to blow-up the platform and cause a major environmental problem. The hole will continue to increase in size allowing more and more oil to rise into the Gulf. After several billion barrels of oil have been released, the pressure within the massive cavity five miles beneath the ocean floor will begin to normalize. This will allow the water, under the intense pressure at 1 mile deep, to be forced into the hole and the cavity where the oil was. The temperature at that depth is near 400 degrees, possibly more. The water will be vaporized and turned into steam, creating an enormous amount of force, lifting the Gulf floor. It is difficult to know how much water will go down to the core and therefore, its not possible to fully calculate the rise of the floor. concen US Senate votes YES, the 'People' have to pay for oil ...
