Seals and Crofts were an American soft rock duo made up of James "Jim" Seals (born October 17, 1941) and Darrell "Dash" Crofts (born August 14, 1940). They are best known for their Hot 100 No. 6 hits "Summer Breeze" (1972), "Diamond Girl" (1973), and "Get Closer" (1976).
The duo disbanded in 1980. They reunited briefly in 1991–1992 and again in 2004, when they released their final album, Traces.
Both members have long been public advocates of the Bahá'í Faith.
Jim Seals and Dash Crofts were both born in Texas, Seals in Sidney and Crofts in Cisco. They first met when Crofts was a drummer for a local band. Later, Seals joined a band called Dean Beard and the Crew Cuts where he played guitar; later on Crofts joined the band. With Beard, they moved to Los Angeles to join The Champs, but the two did so only after the group's "Tequila" reached #1 in 1958. Seals also spent time during 1959 in the touring band of Eddie Cochran.
In 1963, Jimmy Seals, Dash Crofts, Glen Campbell, and Jerry Cole left The Champs to form a band named "Glen Campbell and the GCs" which played at The Crossbow in Van Nuys. The band only lasted a couple of years before the members went their separate ways. Crofts returned to Texas and Seals joined a band named The Dawnbreakers (a reference to a book by the same name about the beginnings of the Baha'i Faith). Crofts eventually returned to California to join The Dawnbreakers and thusly both Seals and Crofts were introduced to and became members of the Bahá'í Faith. However, the band turned out to be unsuccessful. Crofts married fellow Dawnbreaker Billie Lee Day in 1969 and Seals married Ruby Jean Anderson.

On The Road with a Jake Brake and jury rigged audio. Traveled the Western Fair Association with William Henry's, "that's a some a SPICY A MEAT A BALLA" spaghetti wagon. This state of the art restaurante was towed by a ocean liner of a vehicle namely a 1957 "Scenic Cruiser" Greyhound Bus once owned by Elvis Presley and the Doobie Brothers. I spoke to Skunk Baxter about the '57 Greyhound and he said, "...they did have a '57, so it was possible." All together the entire rig was 70 feet long! Quite a feeling at 70 mph going through Oregon. James Seals and Dash Crofts perform at the Oregon State Fair in 1992. Western Fair Association.

January 7, 1990: The late, great Dan Seals (a solo Country artist, and half of the duo "England Dan and John Ford Coley") stopped by Radio KEEN (1370 Stereo Country) before an annual appearance in San Jose, CA. He was kind enough to grant an interview to Melissa McConnell, Midday Personality and Music Director (for her feature segment, "Melissa's Pix -- Hit Video of the Week) on Heritage Cablevision in San Jose. The interview is unedited and uncut (as was his way, he took his time to talk about his music and his career), and since the monitors were muted when he did a brief studio interview, the audio (from the DJ's headphones!) is boosted so you can hear what he had to say on the air. It's almost 15 minutes long -- because some things just take time.

"Danny Wayland "Dan" Seals (February 8, 1948 – March 25, 2009).Dan's childhood nickname of "England Dan" was given to him by his brother Jim. It was also Jim's idea to incorporate the name "England Dan" into England Dan & John Ford Coley. The nickname was a reference to the fact that, as a youngster, Dan had fixated on the Beatles and briefly affected an English accent. The younger brother of Seals & Crofts member Jim Seals, he first gained fame as "England Dan", one half of the soft rock duo England Dan & John Ford Coley, which charted nine pop singles between 1976 and 1980, including the No. 2 Billboard Hot 100 hit "I'd Really Love to See You Tonight". After the duo disbanded, Seals began a solo career in country music. Throughout the 1980s and into the early 1990s, he released 16 studi...

Seals and Crofts fue una banda de soft rock conformada por Jim Seals, cuyo nombre de pila es James Seals, y Dash Crofts, nombre de pila Darrel Crofts. El dúo formado en 1969 logra sus mayores éxitos en los años setenta.
With Beard, they moved to Los Angeles, California to join The Champs, but the two did so only after the group's "Tequila" reached #1 in 1958. *The music content of this video is owned by its rightful and lawful owner/owners. Super rare video of Seals & Crofts. The video quality is poor, but is the best I could find. I did some restoration on the audio and it's excellent. This is for all the Seals and Crofts fans out there as we try to track down their classic live performances.

America is a soft rock band, most popular in the early and mid 1970s and now best known for their #1 hits "A Horse With No Name" and "Sister Golden Hair." Comprised of Gerry Beckley (September 12, 1952 - ), Dewey Bunnell (January 19,1952 - ), and Dan Peek (November 1, 1950 - July 24, 2011), they were seldom a favorite with critics, but were exceptionally successful commercially selling both singles and albums. Nobody gets over lovin' you. But if I do I'll never
believe again, and
Nobody gets over lovin' you. But I'm going to and I'll
never belong to anyone.
Ol' magic feelin' swept me off my feet.
You taught me the good times, baby. You brought me from
the street.
You gave me a reason, sweet resurrection, to believe.
You were perfection. It was the times, sweet
dissertation [?], I chose you.
Sweet degradation, I loved you so and
Nobody gets over lovin' you. But if I do I'll never
believe again, and
Nobody gets over lovin' you. But I'm going to and I'll
never belong to anyone.
Nobody gets over lovin' you, lovin' you. I thought it
would be so easy, baby.
Nobody gets over lovin' you, lovin' you. Lovin' you,
oooo.
(Sweet reservation, great expectation, without a
protection).
A promise to be faithful was all the dreams we knew.
You told me that there'd be no other, although there'd
been a few.
I saw you in innocence, and sweet reservation. And so I
rushed in great expectation.
In your arms without a protection. I loved you without
a direction. I worshipped you and
Nobody gets over lovin' you. But if I do I'll never
believe again, and
Nobody gets over lovin' you. But I'm going to and I'll
