Australia, the US, and the Asia-Pacific Pivot
CONTINUE WATCHING: ur1.ca TRANSCRIPT AND SOURCES: www.corbettreport.com Formalized under the so-called ANZUS treaty in 1951, the military alliance between Australia and the United States has long defined Australia's role in the security context of the Asia-Pacific region. Formed in the wake of World War II when memories of Japanese aggression in the Pacific were still fresh in the minds of Australians, it was invoked most prominently during Australia's commitment of over 60000 troops in the Vietnam war from 1962 to 1975. Even given these decades of close cooperation, however, it still took many by surprise when it was announced last year at a joint press conference by US President Obama and Australian Prime Minister Gillard that that alliance was about to be deepened and expanded with the deployment of a permanent US marine presence in Darwin, Australia. Find out more about this alliance in this week's edition of The Eyeopener report.

Armenian Russian Alliance
Russia has a military base in Armenia which is the Russian 102nd Military Base. Russia stations an estimated 5000 soldiers of all types in Armenia, including 3000 officially reported to be based at the 102nd Military Base located in Gyumri. In 1997, the two countries signed a far-reaching friendship treaty, which calls for mutual assistance in the event of a military threat to either party and allows Russian border guards to patrol Armenia's frontiers with Turkey and Iran. Until recently, in early 2005 , the 102nd Military Base had 74 tanks, 17 battle infantry vehicles, 148 armored personnel carriers, 84 artillery pieces, 30 Mig-29 fighters and several batteries of S-300 anti-aircraft missiles. In the last eighteen months, however, a great deal of military hardware was moved to the 102nd Base from the Russian military bases in Batumi and Akhalkalaki, Georgia. Russia is one Armenia's closest allies and the only country that has a military base stationed in the country. Since 1992 Armenia is in a military alliance with Russia and 5 other ex-soviet countries called CSTO. Russia also supplies weapons at the relatively lower prices of the Russian domestic market as part of a collective security agreement since January 2004.[2] [edit] Military training Officer training is another sphere of Russian-Armenian military cooperation. In the first years of sovereignty when Armenia lacked a military educational establishment of its own, officers of its army were trained in Russia. Even ...

Ansar Abbasi [Jang Group] Exposes Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA)
Jamat-e-Islami [when JI was part of MMA and sharing power with General Musharraf's Q League and PPP Sherpao] presented a Bill called Hasba Bill to enforce Islam in Pakistan and that bill was presented during General Musharraf's Government and that Bill was rejected by CJ Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry [when he was serving General Musharraf in 2005] and that too on the appeal of General [The Martial Law Administrator] Pervez Musharraf. General Musharraf was party to the case. Two opinion/stands can hardly be correct at the same time, either MMA's Islamic Hasba Bill was Un-Islamic or CJ Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry was against Islamic Shariah. If JI was honest then why the same JI is now participating in the Lawyers Long March and by doing so they are accepting that Pakistan must be run on Secular Basis through Anglo Saxon Law and Anglo Saxon Courts. CJ Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry and Co. by accepting such Islamo fascists like JI amidst the Secular Legal Mind, is basically compromising with his own decision which he had given against the Deviant Religious Right Wing of Pakistan. By the way why the so-called Epitome of Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry is even accepting cooperation from one of the party [Jamat-e-Islami] who gave Pakistan the Gift of Unconstitutional LFO and 17 Constitutional Amendment which had given blanket to the Unfirom and every wrong wrong and unconstitutional step of a Military Dictator General Musharraf. Hypocrisy of Jamat-e-Islami/MMA, Mullahs & Secular ...

Join our forum at: www.board.az.az Turkic Federation ( Turan ) Part 1 This video explains why Turkic Federation must become a reality. Either we unite or we will be destroyed! Wanna know more..? Visit: www.azerland.com http www.turansam.org If we want to unite we need to take some concrete steps one by one. These steps are based on my perspective, I might have left out several point but these are the basics 1. Abolition of all visa-regimes within Turkic states. 2. Mutual economic partnership and investement among Turkic States. 3. Creation of international Turkic language which must be adopted into the educational systems as secundary language. 4. Creation of mutual media (tv, radio, newspapers, internet, etc) in new Turkic language. 5. Turkic Federation awareness programme, to inform population and raise approval. 6. Turkic states agree to give unconditional political assistance to each other. 7. Internal conflict in Turkic states such as Karabakh & Turk Cyprus must be solved 8. Creation of social and economic infrastructure among Turkic states, such as fast railways, broad mutual coverage of energylines. 9. Azerbaijan & Turkey sign creation of mutual Energy & Resources system. 10. Central Asian Turkic states create mutual Energy & Resources system. 11. Azerbaijan & Turkey sign military alliance 12. Central Asian Turkic states create military alliance. 13. Merge of Azerbaijan & Turkey Alliance with Central Asian Alliance. 14. After all these steps the final step; the ...

The Great Alliance: UK, US, Canada, and ANZAC
A loving tribute to the special military alliance between Anglo speaking nations such as Britain, America, Canada and ANZAC. God Save the Queen and may God Bless America. Old poem with a new spin... Eternal Father, lord of love We seek your blessing from above We thank you for the time we've shared And pause to show our hope and care For those deployed for whom we pray Will know your peace while underway. Lord, guard and guide the men who fly And those who on the ocean ply; Be with our troops upon the land, And all who for their country stand: Be with these guardians day and night And may their trust be in Thy might. Almighty ruler of the all Whose power extends to great and small, Who guides the stars with steadfast law, Whose least creation fills with awe— Oh grant Thy mercy and Thy grace To those who venture into space. God, Who dost still the restless foam, Protect the ones we love at home. Provide that they should always be By Thine own grace both safe and free. O Father, hear us when we pray For those we love so far away.

Lord Ivan Canas: Russian Military Exercises. Please read the 'more info' section.
The Centre-2008 military exercises took place near the city of Orenburg on the Volga river. More then 12000 troops participated along with about 1000 combat ground vehicles, jet aircraft, helicopters and rocket artillery. The war games reached its peak on September 26 with the arrival of Commander-in-Chef, President Dmitry Medvedev. These military exercises are to counter balance NATO. I do believe it is a response to the US and the EU expansionism of NATO towards the East, mainly when they are done within The Shangai Cooperacion Organisation which includes China. This military alliance is the 'new' military power that may overpower NATO. The US has put very clear that it will not tolerate Russia's veto to accept new members in NATO. Therefore, the US and EU idea is to continue with this unnecessary expansionism in total violation of the commitment that the US assumed during the collapse of the USSR.

Russia to upgrade military to counter the US, NATO expansion
www.russiatoday.com Russia to upgrade army in response to NATO expansion 17 March, 2009, 17:37 President Medvedev has announced a programme of rearmament for Russia's military, starting in 2011. He says NATO expansion is one of the reasons which make the step necessary. Speaking at a Defense Ministry meeting on Tuesday, Dmitry Medvedev said, The analysis of the current political-military situation in the world shows that there still remain threats coming from local conflicts as well as from international terrorism. Attempts to expand the North Atlantic alliance close to the borders of our country have not been stopped. This is the reason why we should upgrade our military forces and make them more advanced, he said. Read more The President added that despite the current financial problems, we have all the necessary capabilities. The number of military practice manoeuvres carried out each year will also be increased. "Many types of exercises have been held for the first time over a certain long period, or even in the entire history of the Armed Forces," Medvedev said. He added that the number of those exercises is still insufficient. Only exercises similar to real combat operations can enhance the skill and combat readiness of military units. This is something we should never hesitate to spend money on," said the President. A smaller, better armed and more flexible armed force thats what Russia needs to respond to growing threats from outside, according to Medvedev. There ...

US Sends More Military Power to Asia-Pacific Region
Follow us on TWITTER: twitter.com Like us on FACEBOOK: www.facebook.com The US recently announced that it will deploy more military power to the Asia-Pacific region, including an aircraft carrier. The US also stepped up military ties with the Asia-Pacific countries, including Australia, the Philippines, Singapore etc. March 8th, US Deputy Secretary of Defense Ashi Dayton Carter said that in the next few years, the proportion of the warships that the United States stations in the Pacific will increase from the current 52% to 60%. Aircraft carrier will also increase from 5 to 6. Navy and Marine Corps will also enhance deployment in the Asia-Pacific region. Reuters analyzed the purpose of the US action is to respond to China's growing military power as well as maintaining peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region. A report issued by "Jane's Defense advisory body" last month pointed out that China's defense spending will reach $ 238 billion in 2015, more than the sum of all countries in the Asia-Pacific region. This makes all the neighboring countries feel uneasy. Cheng Xiaonong, scholar in US, said: "Amongst all the Asia-Pacific regions, a consensus gradually formed that China is now becoming a threat which makes many Asia-Pacific countries worry. Many countries are now reconsidering their national defense and security. In fact, they regard China as a potential challenger. This is why these countries welcome the US military buildup in Asia to protect their safety. China ...

In the near future, a dark cloud shall descend upon the tiny nation of Israel. This cloud is a massive army formed from a military alliance led by Russia and its allies which include: Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Sudan, Libya, Austria, Germany, and parts of Eastern Europe, Southeastern Europe, Turkey and various other nations. This is all in the Bible and foretold thousands of years ago by the prophet Ezekiel. This is the infamous Magog invasion, it will happen; the alliances are falling into place. NATO's military involvement in Libya has lasted 3 months and yet Gaddafi is defiantly holding on to power. A recent NATO airstrike has killed 15 people, among them 3 children. Revolutionaries say NATO has failed to protect the civilians and anti-war sentiments keep growing in the US and some other member-states of the military alliance. What is NATO's game-plan in Libya? To further discuss the issue, Kaveh Taghvai is joined by Lizzie Phelan, Dr. Ziad al-Hafez and Michael Maloof.
