Henry III (Kings & Queens of England Part 3 of 9)
Kings & Queens of England Part 3 of 9: Henry III. ****** This presentation is part of a school project carried out by French students ****** My name is Henry III Plantagenet and I was born on October 1st 1207 at Winchester Castle. I'm the oldest son of King John Lackland and Isabella of Angoulême. I became king when I was 9 years old after my father's death on October 19th 1216. Later, when I refused to implement the provisions, a revolt resulted and I was captured by Simon de Montfort at the Battle of Lewes. I was restored to the throne when Montfort was defeated by my son Edward at the Battle of Evesham over a year later. I built a Royal Palace in the town of Cippenham, Slough, Buckinghamshire named «Cippenham ...
