Glacial Landforms Erosion | Glacier Melting and Calving | Animated Kids (Children) Education Video
Glacial Landforms and Glacier Erosion (Melting and Calving) is an animation video for Kids (Children). This Education Video depicts Glacial Landforms are those created by the action of glaciers. Most of today's glacial landforms were created by the movement of large ice sheets during the Quaternary glaciations. Two major erosional processes occur at the base of a glacier. Ice age sea-level change in Hong Kong
Professor Simon Haslett (University of Wales) explains how a unique record of ice age climate and sea-level change was investigated on the sea bed under what is now Hong Kong International Airport. The results of the analysis of a 40m sediment core was published by geoscientists from the Universities of Hong Kong and Wollongong in 2002 in the academic journal Quaternary International. Simon Haslett is Professor of Physical Geography and Dean of the School of STEM at the University of Wales. He is author of Coastal Systems (2008, Routledge) and over 100 academic papers. REAL UFO LAUNCH BLUE HOLE BELIZE
This UFO LAUNCH was discovered by www.youtube.com after I uploaded my Great Blue Hole, Belize UFO video. Thank you for the discovery. UFO filmed and caught on tape while we were flying over The Great Blue Hole, off the coast of Belize, near Belize City. The Great Blue Hole is a large submarine sinkhole off the coast of Belize. It lies near the center of Lighthouse Reef, a small atoll 70 km (43 mi) from the mainland and Belize City. The hole is circular in shape, over 300 m (984 ft) across and 124 m (407 ft) deep. It was formed during several episodes of Quaternary glaciation when sea levels were much lower - the analysis of stalactites found in Great Blue Hole shows that formation took place 153000, 66000, 60000, and 15000 years ago. As the ocean began to rise again, the caves were flooded. The Great Blue Hole is a part of the larger Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System, a World Heritage Site of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). This site was made famous by Jacques-Yves Cousteau, who declared it one of the top ten scuba diving sites in the world. In 1971, he brought his ship, the Calypso, to the hole to chart its depths. Investigations by this expedition confirmed the hole's origin as typical karst limestone formations, formed before rises in sea level in at least four stages, leaving ledges at depths of 21 m (69 ft), 49 m (161 ft), and 91 m (299 ft). Stalactites were retrieved from submerged caves, confirming their previous ...

About 40 meters (130 ft) from its shores lies a 20 meters (66 ft) tall islet Ko Tapu. Since 1974, when it was featured in the James Bond movie The Man with the Golden Gun, it is popularly called James Bond Island. Photo number 9: Angel Falls is a waterfall in Venezuela. It is the world's highest waterfall, with a height of 979 m (3212 ft). The waterfall drops over the edge of the Auyantepui mountain in the Canaima National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site in the Gran Sabana region of Bolívar State. Photo number 8: Man-Pupu-Nyor (little mountain of the gods) is a magical geological legacy sculpted deep within the Ural mountains in Russia. It consists of seven impressive rock formations with heights varying from 30 to 42 meters which reign over the solitary mountain plateau. The Seven Giants are located in an inhospitable and remote region in the Republic, which is why access to Man-Pupu-Nyor is reserved to very well prepared travelers and usually requires helicopters or snowmobiles. How Did Wolves Become Dogs?
Science Fiction: This primitive wolf closely resembled the modern southern wolf populations of the Arabian Peninsula and South Asia, which were once distributed in Europe in the early Quaternary glaciation until about 500000 years ago (see Subspecies).[4] C. mosbachensis evolved in the direction of Canis lupus, and recolonised North America in the late Rancholabrean era. Real Science: They are also capable of running at speeds of 56--64 km (34--38 miles) per hour, and can continue running for more than 20 minutes, though not necessarily at that speed.[32] In cold climates, wolves can reduce the flow of blood near their skin to conserve body heat. The warmth of the footpads is regulated independently of the rest of the body, and is maintained at just above tissue-freezing point where the pads come in contact with ice and snow.[33] The intestines of adult wolves measure 460--575 cm, the ratio to body length being 4.13--4.62.[34] The stomach can hold 7--9 kg (15--20 lb) of food[24] and up to 7.5 litres (8 US qt) of water.[35] The liver is relatively large, weighing 0.7--1.9 kg (1.6--4.2 lb) in males and 0.68--0.82 kg (1.5--1.8 lb) in females.[24]

Global Cooling & the Food Supply
Download at itsrainmakingtime.com Geologist Don Easterbrook says, "If cycles continue as in the past, the current warm cycle should end soon and global temperatures should cool slightly until about 2035-2100″. His research indicates that we are entering a solar cycle with reduced sunspot activity very similar to that of the Medieval Warm Period to the Little Ice Age, giving rise to concerns that our global food supply will be threatened from the global cooling already taking place. Don, a geology professor emeritus at Western Washington University, has performed extensive research on glacier fluctuations, global climate change, and ocean temperature changes. His specialties include the causes of climate change, glacial geology, geomorphology, quaternary geochronology, and environmental geology. Praying Thinker
Earth Wonder being shaped for millions of years. Natural sculpture, in a shape of a Praying Man, or Thinking very deep on some essential life questions in a process of a very important decision making, Sculpture that will relax you, make you wonder did you think everything through. Natural stone sculpture sized approximately 125 - 70 - 30 cm of very interesting form, found on a quaternary glacial moraine built of bioclastic sediment stone - Limestone Breccia. The stone originates form mid Triassic age (cc 230 - 240 million years).

(Lake of Fimon) mp4
Lake of Fimon is a Quaternary glacial remnant ' enclosed in the ' Valley of Fimon ' whose only outlet on the plain is only in the short section between Santa Croce Web and Lòngara, where the alluvial deposits have levelled the bottom of the Valley to the great padan plain. The Valley has always been marshy but already from the bronze age began to be visited and inhabited.
