Shooting and discussing the Five-seveN, which is, by the way, the trademarked designation for the pistol. I don't know if you can see it in the video, but the rear sight has been moved all the way to the right by a previous owner of the gun. I did not like the looks of this and was going to center the sight and decide for myself if it had a problem, but I did not have a hex wrench small enough, and we just had the gun for a couple of days. It seemed okay in the few shots I took. After two days of shooting over 500 rounds and also struggling in this first video with long-range shooting, I discovered that somebody must have just been jerking the trigger and moved the sights, thinking the sights were off. Some of my missing is elevation-related, but I notice that most of my windage problems are misses to the right. I notice that even my hits are mostly on the right side of the targets. Before we did a Chapter 2 video, I bought a set of hex wrenches small enough and put the rear sight back where it belongs. You'll see in Chapter 2 that I had a little better long-range outcome. :-) It's not that the gun is inaccurate; it's just that I was trying to get used to the gun in this first video, plus the sights were off. "FN SLP: War Ready" by Nutnfancy

Probably the best semi-auto combat shotgun I've ever shot. For its versatility with loads, the FN SLP to me sets the standard of a fighting SA scattergun. Unlike the Benellis, it functions near perfectly on low base practice rounds. With a Browning designed self-adjusting gas system, the SLP then steps up to full power buck and slugs even with the light (red) piston installed! I've seen no others that can do that without lots of tinkering. Add in this LONG TERM test, this gun was left out in the elements for a period of time and shrugged it off. With chrome lined bore and chamber and mil-spec coatings, the SLP is Glock tough (a gun it was often is was often paired with in the Nutnfancy Run N Guns shown!). FN SLP Mark 1 is the test bed for this Nutnfancy review and my most recommended version; smaller statured folks might want to go with the SLP Standard with 18" barrel. But I welcome and need the 8+1 capacity of the Mark 1 and you might too. Other ergos are excellent: perfectly designed and checkered conventional stock, no finger biting noted on the loading gate, big positive safety button, nice charging handle, useful cantilever rail with fiber optio front sight, and decent trigger. It is rightly a favorite of the Three Gun community, competing with Benelli as the go to shotgun of those competitions. But unless you can afford the shoulder battering and expensive high base shotgun ammo to get good, go with the SLP. Cycling speed is simply outstanding (shown) and on par or ...

Modern day piracy on the high seas. Kidnappings, murders, hijackings, theft, and attacks of vessels happen frequently. Sounds like it's a good time to arm up. Take an FNAR. From some hard core testing in TNP, the FNAR proved it's up to the task. It will dominate small bore 5.56mm or even 7.62x39mm rifles in range and power, giving the "Captain" more options in engagement (motor disabling, body armor penetration). This is just one of the fascintation POUs discussed for the capable FNAR. Based on the sporting BAR rifle, the FNAR features many upgrades making in more suitable for tactical use: M1913 Picatinny Rail on receiver, rails of forearm, widely adaptable ergos with buttpads and cheek pieces (included), comfortable pistol grip, matte finishing, parkerized chrome lined 1/11 fluted barrel, aluminum receiver, excellent 4.5 trigger, detachable 5, 10,20 rd mags (easy to load as well) and perfect checkering on the synthetic stock. A discussion of this sporting rifle in comparison to the M1A ensues with emphasis on pedigree. Reliability of the FNAR was outstanding with both ball, soft point, and match ammunition cycling with near perfect reliability. We did find rounds can lodge between the bolt and the upper receive due to tolerances. Accuracy was excellent and this SAPR is capable of sub MOA performance with match ammo and care (shown). The FN Tactical Sport Rifle or TSR XP performs and is made like a semi-custom bolt gun. The features list is impressive for the price: chrome lined [!], cold hammer forged and fluted barrel, controlled round feeding, steel bottom metal, included steel 20 MOA Picattiny M1913 rail attached with 8-40 screws, good trigger, Marine-Tex bedding in the excellent aluminum chassis Hogue stock, long bolt knob, and forged pre-1964 Winchester receiver. This is an amazing amount of gun and it held up its end in some hard core testing in TNP. The TSR bolt was flawless in operation, extremely smooth, positive, and fast. The Mauser CRF [CRPF in .223 chambering] controls the round when it leaves the magazine and makes sure it isn't dinged up, feeding it STRAIGHT into the chamber. Ejection was the best I've seen in a tested bolt action rifle yet and it blows away Remingtion and Savage in both positivity and sureness. A fixed blade ejector allows the shooter to vary throw distance with absolute predictability. The mags in .308 chambering hold 4 rounds, 3 in .300 WSM, 6 in .223. An expensive 10 rd mag conversion is available from FN but it will add weight. They are stainless steel, fed with 100% reliability, and they have a steel floorplate. The quick and reliable reloading of the TSR was yet another high point. The 5.5 lb trigger was good but not excellent, needing more lightness. It supposedly is adjustable [shown].
