The Ironies of The Carpathian Basin: Part 1 - Slovakia
www.gvirsik.de The first video in a series that looks at the facts of Hungary's relations with Slovakia, Serbia and Romania; showing the sad ironies that are existent in them. This on in particular shows that the Slovaks should in fact be grateful that they were conquered by the Magyars, rather than hating the ancient Magyars' descendants, the Hungarians. Because of Hungarian rule, the Slovak language and culture would survive for a nearly a thousand years. This is not to say Hungarians are heroes who intentionally did this. The Magyars conquered Great Moravia for land, and not to preserve the Slovak language. This is simply stating that had history gone different, there wouldn't be a Slovakia today.

The Ironies of The Carpathian Basin: Part 2 - Serbia
The second video in a series that looks at the facts of Hungary's relations with Slovakia, Serbia and Romania; showing the sad ironies that are existent in them. In February 2008, Kosovo declared indepedence from Serbia. The Serbs consider it illegitimate, as it had not been approved by Belgrade. However, this video compares Serbia's stance with Vojvodina and Transylvania 88 years earlier to point out a hypocritical and double-standard stance held by Belgrade. A peaceful Serbia is in Hungary's best interests, and a peaceful Serbia can only exist when Kosovo is accepted.

Traditional folk costumes of the Carpatian Basin
The Lézerpont LÁTVÁNYTÁR (Image Museum) is a unique experience in the cultural tourism of Miskolc. The objects on display on the 600 m² area are diverse and iconic; they allow visitors to travel back in time and history to different places. Travellers can go on a journey where they can see the biggest exhibition of traditional clothing in the Carpathian Basin, crafts of our grandfathers that are almost completely forgotten, the special object culture of the 1950s, rare minerals, and the fascinating world of optics. Traditional folk costumes of the Carpathian Basin An exhibition of the costumes worn by the peoples and nationalities of the Carpathian Basin, where more than 300 original outfits are on display. What makes this exhibit special is the diversity of the objects and their placement in surroundings that are similar to the original, a display unprecedented since the 1896 Millennium Exhibition. Every minute spent at the exhibition is a gift to its visitors -- it describes an imaginary, almost quarter-century and several thousand kilometre-long journey that began in the first half of the 20th century. With the help of this exceptional and truly irreplaceable spectacle -- costumes from Mezőkövesd, Nyitra, Kéménd, Máramaros, Toroczkó, Vista, Kalocsa, Ecser, Sióagárd, Kapuvár, and several hundred more outfits, headdresses, and materials -- the visitor is offered a comprehensive and authentic picture of a lesser known field of ethnography: traditional folk costumes ...

From Huns to Hungarians (Reloaded)
This video shows the direct lineage between the Huns and Hungarians (Magyars). The Magyars lived in the Carpathian Basin 16 to 20000 years ago. About 6 to 8000 years ago they left the Basin and went to Mesopotamia (Sumeria) only to later return under the Scythian Empire. For thousands of years they were traveling between the Caucasian, Ural and Carpathian Mountains and came back to the Carpathian Basin on many occasions. Amongst others they came back as part of the Hun Empire. This is where the video starts and explains the Hun-Magyar connection. As we all know the Magyars came back to the Carpathian Basin in 896AD for the last and final time taking back their ancient land of the Basin and Erdely.

Hungarian - Albanian ~ Friendship
Hungarian - Albanian ~ Friendship The Hungarians have a saying that their history was written by their enemies. This is justified given that the official version of Hungarian history which is still being propagated today is in fact the product of centuries of foreign rule during which the occupying powers and their puppet regimes took care to fabricate a "Hungarian history" which suited their objectives: to present a distorted and unfavourable image of the Hungarians, in order to weaken their national identity and self-consciousness. Our website does not endorse this politically and ideologically biased "official version" of Hungarian history, as we seek to present a more objective picture of the historical facts. The origins of the Hungarians can be traced back to Ancient Mesopotamia through the Sumerian-Scythian-Hun-Avar-Magyar ethno-linguistic continuity, which, together with the evidence of the archeological artifacts of Sumerian origin found in the Carpathian Basin, indicates that the ancestors of the Hungarians were the first permanent settlers of the Carpathian Basin. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The origins of the Albanian people, as was mentioned before, are not definitely known, but data drawn from history and from linguistic, archaeological, and anthropological studies have led to the conclusion that Albanians are the direct descendants of the ancient Illyrians and that the latter were natives of the lands ...

Hungarian Ages-turanian time line 2/2
612 BC The Sumerian-related Medes, Scythians, and Chaldeans annihilate the Assyrian Empire. 539 BC - 331 BC After overthrowing the Median Empire, the Persians invade Mesopotamia and the rest of the Near East. 256 BC - 226 AD After the fall of Persia, the Parthian Empire rules over Mesopotamia, Armenia and Iran. The Turanian Parthians, custodians of the ancient Sumerian civilization, resist the Eastern expansion of the Roman Empire. In 226 AD, the Persian Sassanids overthrow the Parthian Empire which experiences a revival between 272 and 326 AD. 2nd c. BC The Hun Empire reaches its greatest extent from the Pacific to the Aral sea, from Siberia to the Parthian Empire and China. The Huns face centuries of struggle against an increasingly offensive and encroaching Chinese imperialism and expansionism. 2nd - 4th c. AD Facing mounting pressures from China in the East, the Huns begin to expand into Europe. In the 4th century AD, the Huns begin their Western military campaigns. In 375 AD, the Huns defeat the Goths, setting in motion the great migration of Germanic tribes which also contributed to the collapse of the Roman Empire. 5th c. During the 5th century AD, the Huns continue their crushing military campaigns against the Roman Empire. The Huns expel the Romans from the Carpathian Basin (Pannonia and Dacia were occupied by the Romans after they had perpetrated genocidal warfare against the indigenous inhabitants of these Carpathian regions) and the Hun Empire establishes its ...
