In this lesson, students learn that the mean of a given data set is the sum of the numbers in the data set divided by however many numbers there are in the data set. For example, in the data set {9, 1, 6, 5, 1, 13, 11, 2}, the mean is (9 + 1 + 6 + 5 + 1 + 13 + 11 + 2) divided by 8, or 48 divided by 8, which is 6. As review, students are also asked to find the median, mode, and range of given data sets.

USAS-12 Shotgun (At the Range)

My first time firing a USAS-12 12ga. shotgun. It shot pretty well for me considering it was my first go around. Additionally, I was using max power Brenneke rifled slugs in this gun. The recoil was mostly lateral and if I ever shoot one of these again, I'll make a slight adjustment in my stance and hold to account for this. Hope you guys like this!

"Home on the Range" is the state song of Kansas. Dr. Brewster M. Higley originally wrote the words in a poem called "My Western Home." He wrote it in the early 1870s in Smith County, Kansas. The poem was first published in a December 1873 issue of the Smith County Pioneer under the title "Oh, Give Me a Home Where the Buffalo Roam." The music was written by a friend of Higley's named Daniel E. Kelley. Higley's original words are similar to those of the song today but not identical. The song was picked up by settlers, cowboys, and others and spread across the nation in various forms. In the early 20th century, it was arranged by Texas composer David Guion (1892-1981) who is often credited as the composer. It was officially adopted as the state song of Kansas on June 30, 1947, and is commonly regarded as the unofficial anthem of the American West.

New grips I'm trying out are from Talon Gun Grips, and they seem to be better than any other tape grips I've tried, or that I've pieced together myself. The zooming up on the 230-yard gong distorts the clear view of where it is, to some extent. If you want to see the set up, you can view my "Range Tour" video.
