The B-52's - Give Me Back My Man - Rock in Rio, janeiro de 1985
The B-52's Give Me Back My Man Live Rock in Rio 1985 Their first single, "Rock Lobster", recorded for DB Records in 1978 (see 1978 in music), was an underground success that led to the B-52's performing at CBGB's and Max's Kansas City in New York City. "52 Girls" was the B-side. Two versions of the single were released in the UK that featured the B-side "Running Around". Their debut album, The B-52's, contained re-recorded versions of "Rock Lobster" and "52 Girls", along with six more originals and a remake of Petula Clark's classic "Downtown." It was eventually certified platinum. The album had greater success overseas, especially in Australia, where it hit #7 on the back of three hit singles: "Planet Claire" (#43), "Rock Lobster" (#3) and "Private Idaho" (#11). "Rock Lobster" gave the band its first entry on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. The follow-up, Wild Planet, reached the Top 20 on the Billboard 200 in 1980 and was certified gold. "Private Idaho" became their second Hot 100 entry; around this time the B-52's performed a breakout set on Saturday Night Live and were featured at the Heatwave festival in August 1980. Party Mix! was released next, a remix album that took tracks from the first two LPs and presented them in extended forms. [edit] Mid-point Although recording sessions with David Byrne (of Talking Heads) failed, the recordings were released as the Mesopotamia EP in 1982 (Party Mix! and Mesopotamia would later be combined and released together on a single CD ...

Silent Circle - Hide Away, Man Is Comming (1985)
World was born in endless night, In million years we got the light, The mountains coming and the seas, Earth and heaven harmony Animals were born to live, Trees and plants had much to give, But when man came there was fear - Their creation was the tears Chorus: Hide away now - man is comin'! It's the time now - you'll be running For your life (2 times) Thousand dreams about the die As the world begins to cry Lonelyness is all around In the air a silent sound Tears are falling from the sky, Weeping souls begin to fly In the skies of no return Searching for a better world Chorus (3 times)

A big thanks to Matthews MSE (www.msegrip.com) especially to Bob Kulesh, Tyler & Ed Phillips for their generous support and patience of this lengthy endeavor. Most of the linear motion control shots were captured using their FloatCam DC Slider, a wonderful piece of engineering for the time lapse world.
'Nightfall' is a three minute tour of light through the City of Angels.
I shot "Nightfall" in an attempt to capture Los Angeles as it transitioned from day to night. As you probably know, LA is an expansive city so shooting it from many different angles was critical. Usually I was able to capture just one shot per day with a lot of driving, exploring, and scouting in between but the times sitting in traffic or a "sketchy" neighborhood often lead to new adventures and interesting places.
Nightfall in particular is my favorite time to shoot time lapse. Capturing the transition from day to night while looking back at the city as the purple shadow of Earth envelopes the eastern skyline and the warm distant twinkling halogen lights spark to life and give the fading sun a run for her money- this will never grow old or boring to me.
In this piece, it was important to me for the shots to both capture and accentuate the movement of light through the day and night and the use of multiple motion control techniques allowed me to do so.
I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed creating it.
An English translation of the lyrics-
"It is late. I am looking for my other home, taking an unfamiliar path: a small trail near the factories and the city, cutting through the forest. I can barely see nature when suddenly, night falls. I am engulfed by a world of silence, yet I am not afraid. I fall asleep for a few minutes at the most, and when I wake up, the sun is there and the forest is shining with a bright light.
I recognize this forest. It is not an ordinary forest, it is a forest of memories. My memories. The white and noisy river, my adolescence. The tall trees, the men I have loved. The birds in flight, and in the distance, my lost father.
My memories aren't memories anymore. They are there, with me, dancing and embracing, singing and smiling at me.
I look at my hands. I caress my face, and I am 20 years old. And I love like I have never loved before."

Flash & The Pan - Hey St Peter (1977)
Music from Australia and New Zealand in the year 1977: Flash & The Pan's promo-video for the hit single 'Hey St. Peter' (January, 1977), which later appeared on the 1978 album 'Flash 'n' The Pan'. Note: In January 1977, studio act Flash 'n' The pan release their debut single 'Hey St. Peter'. A novelty hit through out Australia and Europe; the single's b-side was 'Walking In The Rain' -later covered by Grace Jones. It would take 'Flash' well over a year to relase a follow up single - that being 'Down Among The Dead Men' in 1978. Although Flash 'n' The Pan were a new name on the charts, the duo themselves were nothing new in the pop mainstream. George Young and Harry Vanda first rose to international stardom when playing in the Easybeats back in the mid 1960's. When the group disbanded in 1969, Vanda and Young set themselves up as a production/songwriting team with a clientel which included Amen Corner, The Tremeloes, Marmalade, Shocking Blue, Los Bravos, Suzi Quatro and Paul Revere and the Raiders.
