Barack Obama Biography and Career upto 2012
Barack Hussein Obama II (born August 4, 1961) is the 44th and current President of the United States. He is the first African American to hold the office. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Obama is a graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School, where he was president of the Harvard Law Review. He was a community organizer in Chicago before earning his law degree. He worked as a civil rights attorney in Chicago and taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School from 1992 to 2004. He served three terms representing the 13th District in the Illinois Senate from 1997 to 2004, running unsuccessfully for the United States House of Representatives in 2000. Several events earned Obama national attention during his campaign to represent the State of Illinois in the United States Senate in 2004, including his victory in the primary and his keynote address at the Democratic National Convention in July 2004. He won the Senate election in November 2004, serving until his resignation following his 2008 presidential election victory. His presidential campaign began in February 2007, and after a close race in the 2008 Democratic Party presidential primaries against Hillary Rodham Clinton, he won his party's nomination. In the 2008 presidential election, he defeated Republican nominee John McCain, and was inaugurated as president on January 20, 2009. Nine months later, Obama was named the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize laureate. In April 2011, he announced that he would be ...

Barack Obama: His Political Journey
It was a time of tragedy and despair. Our country attacked; September 11th. In Chicago it was another type of mourning; for a career. Barack Obama: Depressed b/c he thought his name would now limit his ability to win elections After 9/11, Obama was in "denial, anger, bargaining, despair" about his unfulfilled political ambitions. His early career meetings and "friendly relationship" with unrepentant terrorist Bill Ayers wouldn't pay off now. Nor would his participation in a church he joined to fit into the Chicago community Or, in 1996 when he used the rule book to win his first race for Illinois State Senate and challenged fellow democratic opponents' petitions to force them off the ballot He thought he would have to settle for a shady housing deal with future convict Tony Rezko. Then later, he turned to Hope His Philosophy: Win at any cost. A typical politician Barack Obama did everything he could to win elections. The US Senate seat was his to lose after the outing of an affair of his most serious opponent. He gave great speeches full of hope, bipartisanship and unity, to win. But while in the Senate for two years he voted straight down the liberal party line. Now he wants the presidency. He pandered to the liberal line on Nuclear Energy, Gun Control, Free Trade, Iraq, and FISA, to beat his rival. Now he believes he should shift to the center for the general election while reversing his positions and saying NO to public financing and NO to joint town halls But what ...

Barack Obama - Hope Is Never False - YES WE CAN Music Video
The Audacity of Hope Yes We Can! Meet Barack Early Years Barack Obama was born in Hawaii on August 4th, 1961. His father, Barack Obama Sr., was born and raised in a small village in Kenya, where he grew up herding goats with his own father, who was a domestic servant to the British. Barack's mother, Ann Dunham, grew up in small-town Kansas. Her father worked on oil rigs during the Depression, and then signed up for World War II after Pearl Harbor, where he marched across Europe in Patton's army. Her mother went to work on a bomber assembly line, and after the war, they studied on the GI Bill, bought a house through the Federal Housing Program, and moved west to Hawaii. It was there, at the University of Hawaii, where Barack's parents met. His mother was a student there, and his father had won a scholarship that allowed him to leave Kenya and pursue his dreams in America. Barack's father eventually returned to Kenya, and Barack grew up with his mother in Hawaii, and for a few years in Indonesia. Later, he moved to New York, where he graduated from Columbia University in 1983. The College Years Remembering the values of empathy and service that his mother taught him, Barack put law school and corporate life on hold after college and moved to Chicago in 1985, where he became a community organizer with a church-based group seeking to improve living conditions in poor neighborhoods plagued with crime and high unemployment. The group had some success, but Barack had come to ...

Barack Obama Schools Uhuru Heckler in St. Petersburg, FL
Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) takes an idiot publicity-starved heckler to school during an economic town hall meeting in St. Petersburg, FL on August 1, 2008. Diop Olugbala, a member of the socialist Uhuru movement, joined several other hecklers in shouting down Obama at a key moment during his speech. Instead of harshing on the young men, Obama told them to sit down and wait their turn to ask a question. Olugbala got his turn...and Barack schooled him! You can hear John on the tape politely asking Olugbala if he has had a hearing problem during the entirety of Sen. Obama's career. Big ups to the guy in front of Olugbala for ripping Olugbala's backup protest sign from his hands! Such UBER PWNAGE!

Obama Addresses Democratic Convention
CHEN: It was the the biggest night so far for Barack Obama's political career. In the US city of Denver last night, the Illinois senator formally accepted his party's nomination to run for president this fall. Here's what he had to say. STORY: On the final night of the Democratic National Convention before 75000 flag waving supporters at Denver's Invesco Field, Barack Obama launched a sharp assault on Republican presidential rival John McCain. [Barack Obama, Democratic Presidential Nominee]: "Senator McCain likes to talk about judgment, but really, what does it say about your judgment when you think George Bush was right more than 90 percent of the time?... I don't know about you, but I'm not ready to take a 10 percent chance on change" Obama -- the first African-American presidential nominee of a major US party -- linked McCain directly to President George Bush --- and said their failed Republican policies were responsible for a faltering economy and a decline in global standing. [Barack Obama, Democratic Presidential Nominee]: "Tonight, I say to the American people, to Democrats and Republicans and Independents across this great land -- enough!... It's time for them to own their failure. It's time for us to change America and that's why I'm running for President of the United States." The Illinois senator made some of the most direct attacks on McCain -- including harsh criticism of McCain's defense of the Iraq war and the pursuit of Osama bin Laden. [Barack Obama ...

Barack Obama on special interest groups and PAC funds
Sen. Barack Obama says he's not 'sinless' in fund-raising, but is working on ethics reforms. This interview took place on November 9, 2007, at Iowa Public Television. www.iptv.org Yepsen: You complain about money in politics a lot but yet -- and during your career you've taken money from people connected with various special interest groups. Why are you better on money issues than any of your opponents? Obama: I've consistently said, David, that, you know, I'm not sinless in this process. You know, if you're in politics, particularly national politics, you've had to raise money. But if you look at my track record, not only do I not take federal registered lobbyist money and PAC money in this campaign, but I have consistently fought for and successfully achieved reforms in how we -- how we deal with money in politics. The first piece of legislation -- major piece of legislation that I passed in the Illinois Senate was a campaign ethics reform bill, the first in 25 years. And that was resisted not just by Republicans but by some of my own Democratic leaders. So I've got a track record of actually passing legislation that curbs the influence of money in politics, and that's simply not true for some of the other major candidates on the Democratic side.

Obama Campaign Website Openly Accepting Illegal Foreign Online Campaign Donations
Obama's career was kept alive in the Illinois state Senate with money from agents of Saddam's intellegence service. Without foreign money and ACORN no one would have ever heard of Obama. Along with Tony Rezko agents linked to Saddams intellegence service Nadhmi Auchi (and wife) and Aiham Alsammarae donated thousands of dollars to Obama's Illinois State Senate Campaign otherwise he may never have defeated Alan Keys. After Tony Rezko was arrested both of these men were able to fly into the country even though they had warrants on them by Interpol to bail him out of jail. Al sammarae had actually walked out of the green zone in Iraq and flew to Jordan, then flew to Chicago to and put up properties to bail Rezko out of jail. By this time Obama was a US Senator and he probably used his office to get these guys past customs to Chicago. Even if you're flying in to the US by private jet you have to arrange to have customs agents waving the wand when you get off the plane. Auchi owned a bank that had managed the escrow accounts for Saddams oil for food money and some of that money made it to Rezko and Obama. It's way cheaper and more effective for the enemies of this country to fund American politicians symathetic to their cause then to fight wars and export terrorism. Like the Red Chinese donating money to the Clinton administration in exchange for economic concessions sending jobs overseas, they have gotten everything they want without firing a shot. That is the real reason ...

Barack Hussein Obama II (pronounced /bəˈrɑːk hʊˈseɪn oʊˈbɑːmə/; born August 4, 1961) is the junior United States Senator from Illinois and President-elect of the United States of America.[1] Obama is the first person of African-American descent to be nominated by a major American political party for President,[2] and the first person of African American descent to be elected President of the United States of America. A graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School, where he became the first black person to serve as president of the Harvard Law Review, Obama worked as a community organizer and practiced as a civil rights attorney before serving three terms in the Illinois Senate from 1997 to 2004. What Every American Needs to Know (and Do) About FISA Before Wed., July 9th
Tomorrow, July 9th [was postponed from July 8th], could mark the beginning of official condoning of warrantless surveillance of US citizens in the US.
This is a short interview with Daniel Ellsberg, famous for releasing the Pentagon Papers, about what every American needs to know -- and do in the next 24 hours -- about the new FISA (Federal Information and Surveillance Act) amendments.
WHAT YOU CAN DO IN 60 SECONDS:
For those who are prepared to spend 60 seconds to help protect their liberties and prevent warrantless wiretapping from becoming a new standard in the US, here are two steps you can take:
1. ALL AMERICANS: Go to http://snipurl.com/2ubhq and put in your zipcode to find your Senator's phone number. Call them and read the short script on the same page. If no answer or a full mailbox, click the link at the bottom of the page to e-mail them. If the above link doesn't work, go to www.eff.org, click "take action," and click the first item.
2. OBAMA SUPPORTERS: Go to http://snipurl.com/2ubhl and invest 30 seconds to become a member of the group Obama watches for numbers that want him to oppose this bill. Recommend others search "obama please vote no" on Google and the MyBarackObama link will be in the top results.
If you can find specific pages for McCain or other Senators, please add them below!

The Will of God Isn't...but Is...pt 2
This message will attempt to shed light on two things:
1. What the Will of God Isn’t
2. What the Will of God Is
First we must see the three major components of God’s Will:
LIVING IN THE WILL OF GOD WILL ALWAYS INVOLVE THESE THREE COMPONENTS:
1. Eternal Life
And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. John 17:3
To know the Will of God will involve having eternal life, which means to know God. So here is circular reasoning-To Know God’s Will You must Know God. To Know God you must have Eternal Life. To have eternal life, you must know God. To know God’s will is to know God.
2. Wisdom
that their hearts may be encouraged…to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery, which is Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. … Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, Colossians 2:2-6
that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, Ephesians 1:17
Wisdom is “seeing Life from God’s Point of View.” Knowing God’s Will will always involve seeing Life from His point of View. After all, it is His Will!
Wisdom will always involve more of Jesus Christ in your life, for in Christ are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Living in the will of God will always involve walking in Jesus Christ.
Now since living in the Will of God involves Wisdom I need to point out how you get wisdom.
JAMES GIVES THIS ADVICE ABOUT GETTING WISDOM
Jas 1:5-8 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
You must want to see life from God’s point of view badly enough that you are willing to forsake everything this world has to offer. If you ask for wisdom, if you ask to live in God’s will, yet part of you wants this or wants that, contrary to God’s righteousness, then you will not get wisdom from God. You will not see life from His point of view. You will continue to be like the waves of the sea, tossing to and fro, lost from God’s will.
3. Faith
Living in the Will of God involves pleasing God. And Hebrews 11:6 says without Faith it is impossible to please God. By faith Moses left Egypt, not being afraid of the anger of the king, for he endured as seeing him who is invisible. Hebrews 11:27. Faith allows us to See God and what He wants to do with our lives.
Faith in your life will do Two Things:
1. Faith will allow you to see God behind everything that happens in your life.
2. Faith keeps you in a place where you are not sure what will happen next.
• If you can see the road ahead you don’t need to Trust God.
Living in the Will of God will always involve eternal life, wisdom and faith.
WHERE DO WE START?
In order to know what the Will of God is, we must know what it isn’t. Here are four common Falsehoods about the Will of God:
FALSEHOOD #1: God Wants Us to Know the Future
This is the biggest mistake we Christians make with regard to living in the Will of God.
Just because God has led a certain way does not guarantee the end result. We keep trying to look down the road so we can figure out the direction God is taking us.
It is rarely God’s will for you to know your entire personal future.
God doesn’t light the entire road. He promises just enough light for your step ahead.
Psalm 119:105 “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.”
In fact they made little oil lamps that attached to your ankles. This would allow you to carry a load and still have light. But it was only enough light for one step.
So this verse pictures a man in total darkness walking along a dangerous trail. There is no moon in the sky. Darkness clings to him. His only light comes from the lamp strapped to his ankle. When he takes that step, what happens to the light? It goes forward one more step. The light is not bright enough to illuminate even five feet ahead.
Let’s face the truth–we want to know the future. At least we think we do. We want to know what is going to happen next year, so we can be ready in advance. But God doesn’t play that game with us.
The Bible says, “The secret things belong to the LORD our God” (Deuteronomy 29:29).
Does he know what will happen tomorrow? Yes, he does; but he’s not telling anyone else about it. Or to put it in familiar terms, does God have a blueprint for your life? Yes, he does; but there is no blueprint room where you can go to get a copy.
Suppose God were to offer you a folder with the details of your life (and for your loved ones also) for the next 10 years. Would you ta

SIDNEY A. RIBEAU, President, Howard University: Our University takes pride in our historic preparation of students for involvement in the world community. Today we’re building on more than 142 years of commitment to our international connections and working vigorously to ensure that we expand our international footprint so that every, I say, every Howard student has an international experience. [applause & cheering] Let’s hear it for that.
This is one of our institutional priorities and one that we will fulfill. Many of our students have traveled or are studying abroad through programs sponsored by their units and departments. In addition, our Ralph J. Bunche International Affairs Center remains the hub for a variety of academic and public affairs programs.
I am happy to report that last year, 17 of our Howard MBA students spent two weeks studying in China as a part of their global business environment course. This is only one of several programs connecting our student and faculty to their Chinese counterparts.
We want to build on these successes. We are delighted therefore that we are joined today by the Ambassador Chen, the wife of the People’s Republic of China Ambassador to the United States. We at Howard are happy that we can play a small part in helping the President and First Lady host China for this state visit. Ladies and gentlemen please give a warm Howard University welcome to Ambassador Chen [applause & cheering]
CHEN NAIQING, Wife of Chinese Ambassador to the United States: Thank you. Thank you very much. Honorable Michelle Obama, the First Lady. Mr. President Sidney Ribeau, Assistant Secretary Ann Stock, ladies and gentlemen, friends, it’s my great honor to join the first lady and others in today’s panel discussion.
Let me first extend my sincere thanks to the First Lady and Howard University for hosting this important event during President Hu Jintao’s state visit to the United States. It highlights the gratifying progress we have achieved in the cultural and people to people contact between our two nations. It also shows and reassures all of us that the torch of friendship is in good hands and will be handed down to younger generations like you. [applause]
The educational exchanges between China and the United States have a long history. In 1854 the first Chinese student came to Yale University to study. Subsequently quite a large number of Chinese youth followed his footsteps. They later returned to China and became the pioneers and trailblazers in their respective field of studies.
As early as in 1870 Harvard University opened the Chinese course and has since produced many prominent scholars on China studies.
In October 1978, the two countries signed, MOU, on educational exchanges, just before the establishment of formal diplomatic relations.
In December the same year as a result, the first group of 52 Chinese students arrived in Washington, D.C. and educational exchanges began to flourish.
Since then, educational exchanges have grown and made some really remarkable progress.
In 1989, China for the first time became the number one source of foreign students in the United States and has stayed within the top two ever since. In 2010 there will be in total some 127,000 Chinese students in the United States. And the number of American students in China has also been increasing very rapidly. It reached almost 20,000 in 2009. The second largest in foreign students in China. At present we face some great opportunities to bring our educational collaboration to greater depth.
When President Obama visited China in November 2009, he announced the initiative that the United States will send 100,000 students to China in the following four years.
This initiative has been written into the joint statement. In May 2010 the first meeting of China, US high level consultation mechanism for people to people exchanges was held in Beijing.
The two sides launched a series of educational programs.
For example China will send 10,000 students here for doctorate studies in the next four years. And about 10,000 American students will go to China for training courses under the Chinese Bridge program. We look forward to working closely with the United States to make sure that these programs are implemented smoothly as expected and bring our educational exchanges to a higher level. [applause]
Ladies and gentlemen to take forward the 21st Century China - US partnership that features mutual respect and mutual benefit would not be possible without the involvement and support from our people, particularly the young people. I sincerely hope that your experience of studying or working in China will stay with you long after you return home. And you will continue to reach out to China as much as you can. And engage in efforts and deeper understanding and friendship between

Public Affairs with Jeff Berkowitz - State Rep John Fritchey
State Rep. John Fritchey, whose tenure in the Illinois Statehouse overlaps completely with Barack Obama's eight-year state senate career, assesses Obama's talents, leadership skills and judgment; Fritchey also comments on the end game for this year's Illinois legislative session. Jeff Berkowitz, host and producer of "Public Affairs," debates and discusses state legislative issues and Barack Obama's Presidential judgment and leadership traits with State Rep. John Fritchey (D-Chicago). Fritchey received an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Michigan and a law degree from Northwestern University. Chairman of the House Civil Judiciary Committee, Rep. Fritchey was selected as one of one hundred rising stars in 2001 by the Democratic Leadership Council. He has been an Assistant Illinois Attorney General and Adjunct Lecturer at Northwestern University; Fritchey currently, along with his legislative responsibilities, is in private practice. Fritchey's twelve-year tenure in the Illinois Statehouse includes the eight years (1997-2004) that Obama served in the Illinois State Senate Fritchey stated, in response to fairly critical comments made by former Republican Senator Steve Rauschenberger and current Deputy Republican Leader and State Senator Christine Radogno that Obama had proved himself time and time again to be, in the State Senate, somebody who wanted to get things done and had the ability to get things done. Fritchey argued that Obama "as been able to ...

What Barack Obama really thinks about White Americans
What Barack Obama really thinks about White Americans who vote for him. Shocking video to see! ======================= OBAMA'S LIST OF LIES & HYPOCRISY #1. Nasty, negative campaigning. The media says Obama has run a positive, uplifting campaign and that the negativity is Hillary's fault. False. His campaign has blamed Hillary for Benzair Bhutto's death (Dec., Iowa), claimed she didn't care about Katrina victims (Jan., New Hampshire), consistently trashed the Clinton legacy starting in Nevada, released a memo calling Hillary "racially insensitive" and implying her campaign was racist (Jan., South Carolina), used right-wing style attacks to mislead voters about Hillary's health care plan (Ohio), blocked revotes in Michigan and Florida, and is already releasing negative mailers about Hillary in Indiana. See a timeline of Obama's meanspirited anti-Hillary attacks here: www.attacktimeline.com #2. Rezko. Initially claimed that Rezko had donated $50-60K to his campaigns. Then disclosed the number was $120K. Recently had to admit the number was $250K. Then released documents showing that Rezko was on his finance committee for the 2004 campaign. Claimed in South Carolina debate that his Rezko dealings were limited to "five hours" of legal work. Turns out they had a 17 year relationship. Claimed "no one had any inkling" Rezko was in legal trouble when they engaged in a house deal, only to later admit that he even questioned Rezko about his criminal ties. Said Rezko house deal was ...
