Feeder
Feeder are a Brit-nominated alternative rock group, formed in Newport, Wales in 1991. Feeder's original line-up consisted of vocalist and guitarist Grant Nicholas, drummer Jon Lee and bass player Taka Hirose. By 1995 they released their debut EP Two Colours and a second EP titled Swim, which was followed by their 1997 debut album Polythene, after being met with critical acclaim and made the UK Top 75. Their second album, Yesterday Went Too Soon (1999), again found favour with critics and reached number eight in the UK. The band's cult status was followed by mainstream success in 2001, as they scored a UK Top 10 and South Africa airplay number one hit with the single "Buck Rogers", and the attendant album Echo Park (2001), which reached number five in the UK. Their next release, Comfort in Sound (2002) was released nine months after Jon Lee committed suicide in his Miami home in January 2002, it spawned the hit singles "Come Back Around", their second top 10 single "Just the Way I'm Feeling", "Forget About Tomorrow" and "Find the Colour". The album was recorded with then former Skunk Anansie drummer Mark Richardson, before charting at number six. Two more studio albums were released, which also included a 2006 singles compilation which charted at number two, with those being Pushing the Senses (2005) which also reached number two and spawned four hit singles including their third UK top 10 "Tumble and Fall". The album was followed by Silent Cry (2008) which charted at number eight, before becoming the last album recorded with Mark Richardson before he returned to a reformed Skunk Anansie in 2009. In 2008 Echo ceased operations as a record company.

Grant Kirkhope
Grant Kirkhope (born July 10, 1962) is a British video game music composer, known for writing the soundtracks for numerous games by Rare, such as Banjo-Kazooie and Perfect Dark. Grant was brought up in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire and attended King James School (like his fellow trumpet player and good friend, Simply Red's Tim Kellett). Grant played in various bands while at and after leaving the Royal Northern College of Music including Zoot and the Roots along with top UK sax player Snake Davis. Age 33 he got a proper job with Rare. Before joining Rare in October 1995, he played for two bands called Syar and Maineeaxe where he played guitar, and already knew Robin Beanland, another Rare composer. Grant's music featuring an electric guitar is played on an Ernie Ball/Musicman EVH given to him by Eddie Van Halen.

Sekondi-Takoradi, population 335,000 (2005), comprising the twin cities of Sekondi and Takoradi, is the capital of the Western Region of Ghana. It is Ghana's fourth largest city and an industrial and commercial center. The chief industries are timber, plywood, shipbuilding and railroad repair. It lies on the main railway lines to Accra and Kumasi.
History
Sekondi, older and larger, prospered from a railroad built in 1903 to hinterland mineral and timber resources. Takoradi has an important deepwater seaport, Ghana's first, built in 1928. Both stemmed from 17th Century Dutch, Swedish and English forts. During World War II, Takoradi Air Base was an important staging point for British aircraft destined for Egypt. 26 Squadron SAAF was also based in Takoradi during WWII flying anti-submarine and convoy protection patrols over the Atlantic. A number of South African airmen are buried in the Takoradi European Public cemetery.The cities combined in 1946.On November 20, 1969, the city became the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Sekondi–Takoradi.
The city is currently named (although not officially) as the Oil City of Ghana due to the massive discovery of oil in the western region of Ghana and has attracted massive migration from people all over the world.
Education
Sekondi city currently has several secondary schools, colleges, and Special schools, ranging from single-sex to coeducational institutions. These include: Ghana Secondary Technical School (GSTS) St. John's School, Sekondi College, Ahantaman Secondary School, Fijai Secondary School, Adiembra Secondary School, Archbishop Porter Girls Secondary School and many others.Takoradi has a well-equipped technical training centre (Takoradi Technical Institute, TTI, 1,400 students in two shifts) assisted by the German government through GTZ/GOPA.
Apart from TTI, Takoradi has a polytechnic and other renowned secondary schools including Ghana Secondary Technical School, St. Mary Secondary School, Bompeh Secondary School, Takoradi Secondary School and many others. Takoradi is also a port city and has timber, energy, and technology industries. Over the years it has attracted a good number of investors, including miners, as the city is close to the mining towns in the western part of Ghana.
It has a lot of beautiful beaches which also attract tourists from throughout the world.
Sekondi-Takoradi is a Sister City of Boston (Massachusetts, USA), Oakland (California, USA) and maintains a link with Plymouth (Devon, England).
Takoradi Technical Institute houses a Fab lab, equipped by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), which is the first of its kind in Africa.
Mercy Foundation International is an organization that works with vulnerable children and street children. It has recently opened an internet café and computer training centre to encourage familiarity with computers and help them acquire computer skills.

Little Angels were a hard rock band of the late 1980s and early to mid 1990s.
History and members
Little Angels formed in Scarborough, England in 1984, under the name Mr Thrud. The founding members were Toby Jepson (vocalist), Mark Plunkett (bassist), Dave Hopper (drummer) and the brothers Bruce John and Jimmy Dickinson (guitarist and keyboardist respectively). Michael Lee joined the band to replace Hopper around 1988/89, when the band changed their name to Little Angels and began to achieve national success.It was at this time that the band met Kevin Nixon who would become their manager and label boss when he signed them to his York-based company Powerstation Records. Eventually out-growing the local scene the band signed to Polydor Records, allegedly a deal done backstage at the old Marquee Club on Charing Cross Road.
Lee was sacked from Little Angels during the ''Young Gods'' tour, after it was discovered he had auditioned for The Cult behind their backs. He went on to play the full ''Ceremony'' world tour. Lee was replaced by Mark Richardson, who filled in for him on several tour dates, before taking his place officially during the recording of the band's third album, ''Jam''.
"The Big Bad Horns" ("Big" Dave Kemp on saxophone , Frank Mizen on trombone and Grant Kirkhope on trumpet) had become synonymous with the 'Angels' sound over the years, contributing to a large majority of their recorded output, and appearing live with the band more often than not. However, they were keen to remain independent from the band, so appearances on stage and record are credited to Little Angels & The Big Bad Horns.
Little Angels were successful in the UK and cracked the U.S. to some extent, although not enough to satisfy their record label. Nonetheless, they had a massive profile in the UK, playing with Van Halen (who Jepson would be approached to join in 1996) and Bon Jovi, amongst others. In an act of extraordinary generosity Van Halen gave the band their entire back-line for free at the end of the UK tour.
Despite the seemingly disappointing record sales, they followed the announcement of their split by playing a sold-out six date UK tour culminating in a performance at the Royal Albert Hall.
After Little Angels
After the demise of Little Angels, the Dickinson brothers would form b.l.o.w. with Richardson and the former No Sweat guitarist (turned vocalist) Dave Gooding. Jepson recorded and toured an album, ''Ignorance Is Bliss'', under the moniker "Toby and the Whole Truth", which was intended to launch a solo career, but illness scuppered the tour & his immediate plans. He would spend subsequent years away from the spotlight before a solo return in 2002.When b.l.o.w. folded, Jimmy Dickinson became a member of the synthpop group Younger Younger 28's who had some success in Japan, and who released one album, ''Soap'', on the V2 label. He went on to play with the One Hit Wonders, and is now working as a teacher at the Westwood School of Music in Scarborough, including a course in electronic music.
Bruce John Dickinson went on to teach at, and manage, The Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford, Surrey. He is now the Managing Director of the Brighton Institute of Modern Music which he set up with former Angels manager, Kevin Nixon.
Mark Richardson joined Skunk Anansie to replace their original drummer. When that band folded, he joined Feeder, following the suicide of their original drummer Jon Lee. He remained with the band until the end of 2008 when he re-joined Skunk Anansie for a greatest hits tour & album, and new material.Mark Plunkett (bass) turned his hand to artist management. Surprisingly for many, he went on to manage first Boyzone, then Ronan Keating.
Michael Lee worked as a jobbing drummer, often playing with Robert Plant before his untimely death on November 24, 2008.
After a long while away from the spotlight, Jepson struck out on his own in 2001, touring the "Refresh EP" in early 2002 and onwards. Financial pressures sadly put the brakes on this solo venture, and it looked as though he would once again withdraw from the stage. However, he made a return as a solo artist supporting Thunder on their 2006 UK tour and has - once again - performed solo since then.
A spot as guest vocalist for Gun, at a charity gig in Glasgow promoted by rockradio, on the January 8th 2008 resulted in him taking the role permanently. This was confirmed in April 2008.Jepson, Plunkett & the Dickinson brothers were reunited - supposedly for the first time since the band's split - at Michael Lee's funeral in December 2008.
Toby Jepson left GUN in June 2010 due to increased responsibility in other aspects of his musical involvement.
