Mayan Calendar Golden Age in 2012 - Mayan Calendar and Hindu Prophecy
webmediagloballdb.blogspot.com globalldb.blogspot.com worldfinancialcrisiscollapse.blogspot.com Mayan Calendar Golden Age in 2012 - Mayan Calendar corroborates Hindu Prophecy The ancient Hindu Kali Yuga calendar and Mayan calendar were both started about the same time over 5000 years ago, and both predict a rebirth of our planet. The significance of this date in Mayanism stems from the ending of the current baktun cycle of the Maya calendar in 2012, which many believe will create a global "consciousness shift" and the beginning of a new age. The white man will battle against other people in other lands -- with those who possessed the first light of wisdom. 2012 & the 10'000 Year Golden Age of Enlightenment
Vedic prophecy on 2012 The Mayan calendar matches the Hindu Calendar. It is interesting that this prediction of the emergence of a new world is prophesied to appear about the same time that the Mayans predicted it to come! The Mayan calendar began with the Fifth Great Cycle in 3114 BC and will end on 21 December 2012 AD. The Hindu Kali Yuga calendar began on 18 February 3102 BC There is only a difference of 12 years between the Hindu's beginning of the Kali Yuga and the Mayan's beginning of the Fifth Great Cycle. The 10000 year Golden Age begins in 2012. The ancient Hindus mainly used lunar calendars but also used solar calendars. If an average lunar year equals 354.36 days, then this would be about 5270 lunar years from the time when the Kali Yuga started until 21 Dec 2012. This is the same year that the Mayans predict rebirth of our planet. It is also about 5113 solar years of 365.24 days per year, and is day number 1867817 into the Kali Yuga. By either solar or lunar years, we are over 5000 years into the Kali Yuga and it is time for Lord Krishna's prophecy to happen according to the ancient Hindu scriptures. Lord Krishna's Golden Age thus begins in 2012! The Names of the Lord are non Different from the Lord. x

Nepal Adivasi Janajati Conference, Belgium |Bikram Sambat is Indian calendar, kill cow go jail|
This video was taken in Belgium at Nepal Adivasi Janajati Conference on July 29, 2012. Video Credit thanks to Amit Subba. In this video, Mr Rai gives speech about the deep embedded discrimination and racism in Nepali society that has existed for past 240 years and is still prevalent today. Some of the things he pointed out are about how Hindu Rana rulers imposed Hindu festival (Dashain) on indigenous Nepalese. Other things he pointed out is the use of Vikram Sambat calendar in Nepal. Brief Historical background of Vikram Sambat -- Official Calendar of Nepal Vikram Samvat "VS" also spell Bikram Sambat "BS" is the calendar established by Indian emperor Vikramaditya. It is a popularly used calendar in India and the official calendar of Nepal. The Vikrama Samvat was founded by the emperor Vikramaditya of Ujjain following his victory over the Sakas in 56 BCE. It is a lunar calendar based on ancient Hindu tradition (see Hindu calendar and Vedic time keeping). In Northern India the calendar starts with the first day after the new moon in the month Chaitra, which usually falls in March/April in the western calendar. In Nepal, it begins in mid-April and marks the start of the solar new year. After the fall of Hindu monarchy in Nepal in 2008, Nepali government is talking about removing Bikram Sambat and using Western Calendar instead for official and business purposes. But many Nepalese are not aware that Nepal too has their own native calendar. This was partly because previous ...

Significance of New Year, Ugadi. Part 1 of 3. Hindu calendar
Significance of New Year, Ugadi -- Part 1 of 3 Speaker: Dr. Rama Krishna Rao Date: 21 March 2010, 11:45 AM Venue: Hindu Temple of San Antonio, 18518 Bandera Rd, Helotes, TX 78023 Excerpts: Why is the new year a special day for Hindus, and why do they have new year on different days in different regions in India? Just as we have yearly cycles starting with our birth date, the nature has a cycle too. The way of new life in nature doesn't happen uniformly through out the world. In Punjab, they celebrate Vaisakhi in April/May. Indian new year starts with Chaitra. According to the Hindu calendar, the current Kali Yuga spans 432000 years. The Yuga before this was 864000 years. Treta Yuga lasted 1.2 million years, and Krita Yuga 1.728 million years. One Maha Yuga consists of all these four Yugas, and is of 4.32 million years long. 72 such Maha Yugas make up one Manvantara. One Manvantara is one day for Brahma. Hindu calendar has 6 season per year: Vasant ritu (spring), Grishma ritu (summer), Varsha ritu (rain), Sharad ritu (late rain), Hemant ritu (early winter), and Shishir ritu (winter). When you look at Ugadi from the eternal point of view, this cyclical patterns is magical. Vishnusahasra Nama describes the new years thus: AvartanO nivrutatma samvrutaha sampramardanaha aha samvatsakO vanhiranalO dharaNee dharah The eternal power behind all these changes keeps repeating things. And we salute that power. These changes will not affect that eternal power. The same power has ...

Showcasing an epic Hindu mythological event during Ganeshotsav
Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi, also called Vinayagar in Tamil Nadu, is the Hindu festival celebrated on the occasion of birthday of Lord Ganesha, the son of Shiva and Parvati, who is believed to bestow his presence on earth for all his devotees in the duration of this festival. It is the day Shiva declared his son Ganesha as superior to all the gods. Ganesha is widely worshiped as the god of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune and traditionally invoked at the beginning of any new venture or at the start of travel. The festival, also known as Ganeshotsav ("festival of Ganesha") is observed in the Hindu calendar month of Bhaadrapada, starting on the shukla chaturthi (fourth day of the waxing moon period). The date usually falls between 19 August and 15 September. The festival lasts for 10 days, ending on Anant Chaturdashi (fourteenth day of the waxing moon period). While celebrated all over India, it is most elaborate in Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Goa. Outside India, it is celebrated widely in Nepal and by Hindus in the United States, Canada, Mauritius, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Burma and Fiji. Traditional stories tell that Lord Ganesha was created by goddess Parvati, consort of Lord Shiva. Parvati created Ganesha out of sandalwood paste that she used for her bath and breathed life into the figure. She then set him to stand guard at her door while she bathed. Lord Shiva returned and, as Ganesha didn't know him, he didn't allow him ...

Super moon to light up Indian skies at 9.04 PM today - NewsX
It'll be a SUPER moon lit night tonight. Literally. The Moon will seem especially big and bright tonight since it will reach its closest spot to Earth at the same time as it is in its full phase. Astronomers have pinpointed the time as 0334 GMT on Sunday... that's 9.04 pm in India. The NASA website says the Super moon will appear 14 percent bigger in size and 30 percent brighter than other full moons of 2012. Reports also say the moon will be at its closest to the earth since 1912.Beyond the scientific landmark... as expected there's a huge religious significance to the day. From the religious view point, Chitra Poornima today coincides with Buddha Poornima, itself considered of huge religious significance. This is the first full moon of the Vedic New Year... and the most auspicious one of the Hindu calendar. For more log on to: alpha.newsx.com

GURU PURNIMA
Guru Poornima (25th July 2010)
GURU BRAHMA GURU VISHNU GURU DEVO MAHESWARA
GURU SAKSHAT PARA BRAHMA THASMAI SRI GURAVE NAMAHA
"Guru is Brahma, Guru is Vishnu, Guru is Maheswara
Consider Guru as your everything. All are embodiments
of Divinity. In fact, all that you see is nothing but the
Divine Cosmic Form (Viswa Virat Swarupa)"
Guru Poornima is the full moon day in the month of ‘Ashada’, the fourth month in the Indian lunar calendar, corresponding to end of June or early July. It is also called ‘Vyasa Poornima’, as this full moon day marks the birthday of the great sage Veda Vyasa, who categorized the vast body of Vedic knowledge in to the four Vedas – Rig, Yajur, Sama and Atharva. Even the writing of the eighteen Puranas (ancient Hindu legends) was completed by him on this day.
“The term ‘Guru’ means one who dispels the darkness of ignorance. ‘Gu’ means one who is beyond attributes (or gunas), ‘ru’ implies one who is beyond forms (rupa). This refers only to God. That is why the Guru is hailed as Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva (the holy trinity of Hindu belief). Only God is the true Guru. All others are merely teachers, like the teachers of different subjects in a college. ‘Guru’ is the one who reveals the guri (target) to the disciple. ‘Guri’ here refers to the Atmic Principle (the principle of the self)”.
- Sathya Sai Baba
Discourse: 20th July, 1997
"Guru is Brahman. He is the Creator; He Himself is the creation and He is the One that exists in the creation. The universe is filled with Brahman. It becomes clear that the One who Himself has become the universe is the Guru.
Guru is Vishnu. Who is Vishnu? Vishnu is one who has the quality of pervasiveness. He is the Doer and also what is done. The universe is the action, God is the Doer. God is the consciousness behind the cause and effect. The whole universe is the form of Vishnu. This Vishnu is the Guru.
Guru is Maheshvara. Who is Maheshvara? He is the one who rules all beings in the Universe. He commands and ordains everything in the universe in the right manner. Sun-rise and Sun-set go on according to His command. Seasons, rain, the day and night are His commands. Eeshvara is one that makes everything--follow its discipline without any lapse. Guru is not one who merely teaches. A Guru is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent, He is God himself.
Gurupuurnima means full moon without any defect or lacuna. Moon is nothing but mind. When the mind is completely perfect, it sheds light. Gurupuurnima is not performed by circumambulation and offerings to the Guru. What is the real offering? It is the offering of one's love. To know that God exists everywhere is circumambulation. If you understand these terms, everyday is Gurupuurnima. There is only one Guru, that is God and there is no other Guru. Contemplate on that Guru." - Sathya Sai Baba

19th. Nov 2010, marks another milestone for the GregsVideo.Com team, as we travelled more than 300KM down south, from KL to the state of Johor, to film this amazing yet romantic wedding of Dr. Anand & Dr. Yee Ling. It was indeed a fun filled wedding, with the couple so romantic, loving and awesome in so many different ways.
Both doctors, attached to the Sultan Aminah hospital in Johor Bharu, tight the knot on this special & auspicious day in both the Indian & the Chinese Lunar calendar.
Dr. Anand, a hindu, and Dr. Yee Ling a chinese, both had their traditional wedding ceremony, with the traditional chinese 'Tea Ceremony' in the morning, and followed by a Hindu-Tamil wedding ceremony in Sri Raja Mariamman Temple.
On the next day, a reception was held in Horizon Hills Country Club for some 350 friends & family members to celebrate their love as husband & wife.
This is the highlights music video of their wedding, and also a love story depicts their journey to this very day!
We really had an awesome time filming this wedding, our first shoot in this southern state of Malaysia, Johor Bharu. Both Anand & Yee Ling were so fun to be with and they really took good care of us while we were there for their wedding. It was easy to film this couple as they were always smiling, loving, expressive, and never at all camera shy.
We wanna thank them for their love, hospitality, and the trust that had in us! Thank you also for the opportunity given to us, to be part of this romantic wedding.
Once again, stars hailed from the Sultan Aminah Hospital, Anand & Yee Ling, and GregsVideo proudly present 'A Doctors Love'

Kartik Poornima Highlights 2010
The three main gods in the Hindu pantheon of over 330 million are Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh: The Creator, The Maintainer and The Destroyer, in that order. While the latter two have various festivals to their names, the only day in the Indian calendar when Lord Brahma is worshiped is Kartik Poornima, one of the brightest moonlit nights of the year. Kartik' is the name of the month in the Hindu calendar; and 'Poornima' is the full moon day. The celebration of the Regal Festival of Kartik Poornima, a cultural and heritage tourism initiative by Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation, in association with the HRH Group of Hotels, vehicles the values and history of 'Eternal Mewar'. The concept of Eternal Mewar reflects the commitment to the custodianship of perennial human values by the House of Mewar. It is this concept that drives the activities of both the Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation and HRH Group of Hotels. The continuation of the heritage of Kartik Poornima is another proof of this commitment. This mystical festival provides an opportunity to witness the full moon, against the fabulous backdrop of The Manek Chowk, The City Palace Complex, Udaipur. The colours for Kartik Poornima include the jewel colours of pearl pink, white and silver. This aesthetic colour persists in an exclusive exhibition and sale of arts and crafts from the regal label of Aashka, an initiative from Ms. Bhargavi Kumari Mewar of Udaipur. Part of sale proceeds which will go to Maharana of ...
