ECOLOGY NEWS-Central Java, Indonesia training farmers in new agricultural practices
In ecology news, farmers in an Indonesian province are trained in sustainable methods. Father Johannes Wartaya Winangun of the Society of Jesus established a program in Central Java to promote organic agriculture in the area. It was offered to local farmers through the Kursus Pertanian Taman Tani, a Jesuit vocational school, and the Duta Wacana Christian University in Yogyakarta. Approximately 45 farmers participated in the courses, which are expected to help increase prosperity for individuals and villages through the use of organic methods. Our earnest appreciation, Father Wartaya Winangun and involved institutions, for your caring dedication to the citizens of Indonesia. May flourishing organic harvests lead us to a healthy and balanced planet.

Indonesia Train through Central Java
Leading economic expert Jim Rogers traveled to 150 countries over 150000 miles in three years - follow his adventures here on FentonReport. In this video Jim takes a train through Central Java in Indonesia. Copyright Jim Rogers, all rights reserved, provided as a special contribution to the FentonReport www.fentonreport.com Central Java (Indonesian: Provinsi Jawa Tengah) is a province of Indonesia. The administrative capital is Semarang. It is one of the six provinces of the island of Java. Central Java is both a political entity and a cultural concept. Culturally and historically Yogyakarta is a significant part of Central Java. However, administratively the city and surrounding region has been part of a separate special region since Indonesian independence. In the same context, but in contrast - the region of Surakarta is a significant incorporated component of Central Java. The province of Central Java is 32548.20 km2 in area; approximately a quarter of the total land area of Java. Its population is 31820000 (As of 2005), making it the third most-populous province in Indonesia after West Java and East Java, and constituting approximately one quarter of the island's population.

Kawan Ijen Volcano, East Java - Indonesia
Visit: www.world-earthquakes.com VERY IMPORTANT This video is for education purpose only! The Ijen volcano complex is a group of stratovolcanoes, in East Java, Indonesia. It is inside a larger caldera Ijen, which is about 20 kilometers wide. The Gunung Merapi stratovolcano is the highest point of that complex. The name of this volcano resembles that of a different volcano, Mount Merapi in central Java, also known as Gunung Merapi; there is also a third volcano named Marapi in Sumatra. The name "Merapi" means "fire" in the Indonesian language.
