Nikon D800E Field Test with Nick Devlin
When Luminous Landscape's Nick Devlin received one of the few D800E cameras in Canada, we knew we'd have to take it out for a day of landscape photography. Nick and The Camera Store's Chris Niccolls took out the D800E and the fantastic Pentax 645D to see how they stacked up shooting the beautiful landscapes of Canmore Alberta. Nikon 18-300mm VR Lens Review
froknowsphoto.com Click Here for FULL RES samples. When Nikon announced a new super telephoto DX Lens in the 18-300 VR I did not give much thought to it. As a full time pro this is not a lens that I would carry in my bag. However, this lens is not billed as a pro lens nor should any of us try and compare it to a pro lens. I know a lot of you may be expecting me to say this smells like "don't buy it" but the truth is this lens is pretty good for what it offers. We will get to image quality and price in a few paragraphs but for now I want to remind you guys to look at this lens for who its geared towards. This really is one lens that could replace three other lenses in your bag. This DX lens offers a huge zoom range from 18-300mm or the equivalent of 27-450mm. That is just an INSANE amount of reach. You can do everything form wide angle group shots to long distance sports captures all the way to shoot a building a long ways away. With such a large range there are bound to be some issues. At 18mm you will notice the bowing of straight lines. These liens should be straight but instead take on an extreme bend which can be corrected in lightroom with the lens correction tool. It actually is a very effective tool when you want to get rid of those imperfections. Another issue I saw with the lens was in the edge detail. You can see some major abbreviation going on from purples to other interesting colors. You will also notice some vignetting around the edges of the frame when you ...

Nikon D800 Review
Nikon D800 Review A radical departure from the still photo-exclusive D700, Nikon threw down the gauntlet on Canon's home turf. The D800 is capable of 1080p HD videos captured at 30 or 24fps, and its sensor is a complete overhaul, spewing out 36 effective megapixels. Those two features alone alter the D800's DNA to the point where the new full frame juggernaut is a completely different breed under the hood. tchno.be For more tech goodness, check us out at: www.technobuffalo.com Follow Us on Twitter: www.twitter.com Like Us on Facebook: www.facebook.com Check Us Out on Google+: tchno.be Inside My Mind: www.youtube.com

Nikon D600 vs D7000 - Should You Upgrade to FX?
With the recent release of the "cheaper" full frame D600 from Nikon, one has to wonder whether the D7000 is still a good choice as a DSLR when it doesn't have the full frame sensor that the D600 does. Kai and Lok take a look at the two Nikon DSLRs in this video.

Nikon D600 Review
froknowsphoto.com Click Here to read the full review of this camera as well as access the full res sample files. When Nikon announced the D600 it was pretty much no big surprise. What was a big surprise was the fact that they would have it before Photokina and months before Canons 6D. The D600 is the first "affordable" FX Camera from Nikon at clocks in at $2099.99 at AllensCamera.com. Now I am not going to sit here and run down the tech specs as most of you already know what they are. You also know that the most important thing about the camera are not the specs but how it actually handles in the real world shooting environment. What I am going to try and do is give you my straight up feedback from using the camera in a tough shooting situation of a night high school football game. If a camera can handle low light shooting and being pushed to its limits than it can handle everything and anything. First things first this camera is pretty small yet it feels very nice in the hands. The one I shot with did not have the vertical grip yet shooting vertical really was not a problem at all. The screen is huge and clear and the buttons are will be very familiar to anyone who has shot or held a D800, D800E or Nikon D4. There is something to be said for keeping the same button set up from camera to camera to camera. The same holds true for the menu system. Nikon does a great job keeping the menus consistant from one body to the next. The real tell tail sign of a quality camera to me ...

Nikon D3100 - best entry-level DSLR?
In this video, we take another look at the Nikon D3100, a DSLR that is aimed at entry-level users. In our previous review, done by Lok, he used some rather "technical" language that might have perplexed some of the beginners out there, so, in this video we aim to review the camera in as easy-to-understand way as possible. Canon 5D Mark III vs Nikon D800 Comparison
www.learningdslrvideo.com I'm really excited to have reviewed both with Canon 5D Mark III and the D800. I have been shooting with both of these camera for awhile and have been taking them both everywhere I go trying them in side by side in different lighting conditions, cloudy, mixed lighting, extreme low light, swimming pools, silhouettes, even time lapses, comparing skin tones, slow motion, landscapes, and pictures styles, and I think I have found some interesting stuff about these cameras that no one else is talking about. I've been wanting to buy a full frame camera for awhile now and I have waiting for the Canon 5D Mark III to come out, but now that Nikon has step up their game on the video side of things, there are two cameras to consider now. Are you an amateur like me wanting to step up to a full frame? In this video comparison I will be talking about this from the amateur level This is by far my most thorough comparison I have ever done since I will be buying one of these cameras. First off, both have pluses and minuses, they are both full frame, have dual card slots SD and CF, 100 view finder coverage, weather sealed body, both have a somewhat similar Continuous Shoot Speed, both have excellent auto focus systems, and both now have new headphone jacks.
