The actor’s father, Wayne worked in sales business and was taking care of kids until the divorce with Judith. However, even after they walked separate ways, Wayne did his best to be present in kids’ lives.
Meanwhile, the mother, Judith raised three boys almost on her own. She worked in a magazine as an editor and after divorce remarried. But her second husband committed a suicide which influenced a lot on David. As a defense mechanism he started using fun and initially it helped him.
Andrew is an elder brother to a famous comedian who is well-known in the world of fashion. Back in 1993, he and his wife Kate started a fashion line that turned out to be a huge success. In 2006 they sold all company’s shares.
The second brother is named Bryan. We don’t know what he does for a living but we do know that he is married to Cathy Blumling.
There is also Kate Spade who was David’s sister-in-law. On the 5th of June, 2018 she was found dead in her NY apartment. She had been suffering from depression for over six years and suicide turned out to be the only way out for her. However, she will always be remembered as an amazing fashion icon and the most creative shoes and bags designer. It was a huge loss for the whole family and David donated $100.000 for the awareness of mental issues.
