Volunteers Clean Up Storm Damage at Carpenter's Woods

The Friends of the Wissahickon worked with students from the Crefeld School and Philadelphia Parks & Recreation on Wednesday, cleaning up fallen trees and debris around Carpenter's Woods in Mt. Airy.

This big tree was blocking Phil-Ellena Street at Greene Lane on Tuesday. Wednesday morning, residents on the street helped cut up enough of the tree to allow cars to pass by. According to the homeowners, most of the branches should be gone by Thursday.
