Jain, Buddhist and Hindu Creation Myths
By Mackenzie Meitner through Professor Rev. Dr. James Kenneth Powell II, opensourcebuddhism.org In this project we are first introduced to the Hindu notion of the Golden Egg, a cosmic egg from which all sprang. The next segment introduces Jain cosmology as a series of four ages, slowly degenerating from giants to modern human sizes. At one point during the documentary, an image of Shiva is referenced as Rishabha Deva, the first tirthankara or ford-maker. Also, the Jain ultimate state is not nirvana but kevalajnana or wisdom-only as one becomes a being of pure wisdom. 18000years remain for this age and the disappearance of Jainism and its re-emergence anew. Buddhism has no particular opinion and the importance of creation is far less relevant that stopping mental turbulence. Nevertheless, a parody of creation exists in Buddhism as beings became greedy for edibles, particularly ancient fungi. Social hierarchies emerge as ignorance descends on the wise beings through their desire. For Hindus, the universes cycle again and again like the other too. From the cosmic egg, Brahma creates as part of Vishnus dream. Meitner has a nice way with crisp and clear visuals, the panning and transitions are excellent. No video elements in this would mean a loss of a point, but I am counting the brilliance of the other components as an A for this interesting work. jp

Tantric Tara Mantra(New)-Ten Mahavidyas
MANTRA : -- Ayeim Hreem Shreem Kleem Souh Hoom Ugra Taare phat Mantra 2 :- AIM AUM HREEM KREEM HOOM PHAT Tara is quite well known through Her Tibetan manifestations, but some are unaware of the important position She occupies in the Hindu tantrik pantheon. She is the second of the ten Mahavidyas. Some have attempted to separate the Hindu Tara from the Tibetan Tara, but there is little doubt that She is the same Devi. This is shown in a reference to Tara in the Hindu Tantrarajatantra, where Her mantra is given as Om Tare Tuttare Ture Svaha -- identical to the Tibetan version. Here Tara takes her form as Kurukulla. The various other forms are given in Brihad Nila Tantra and Devirahasya, under the names Nilasarasvati, Aniruddha Sarasvati, Ugra Tara, Tarini. Nilasarasvati gives as the fruit of worshipping Her poesy and eloquence. This, aside from clearly relating Nilasarasvati to White Sarasvati, also points to this Goddess being the Shakti of the Letters of the Alphabet, the Matrika Shakti. She has an important role in Tantrik cosmology because mantra, words, music are considered to be the very source of the cosmos. As Matrika Shakti She deludes the entire human race with Her Maya of letters, and words. This has been expressed in a Tantrik form, but, practically speaking, it is sufficient to say that much hypnosis (Maya) comes about via the medium of words. Millions of people have lost their lives through this power. Thus Her power and place in the Tantrik pantheon is quite ...

Justins "JAIN ENLIGHTENMENT - A Cosmic Way of Life" 10minDEMO
After long last one Jain out of the hundreds we negotiated decided to donate money for this 10 min edit of JAIN ENLIGHTENMENT. Its been an incredible journey traveling across India, UK and USA fundraising as well as filming stories of Jains, their temples, witnessing religious holidays and discussing the content of this film. We just could not understand how the Jain community (around 5 million) celebrated the anniversary of Lord Mahavira existence on Earth ... with one slim book dedicated to his story, while interfaith and world religions unite ...
Through our journey we met many Jain businessmen and women who were very interested in this film project but felt they were the "only ones" who could tell the story and produce the film without any experience in filmmaking and the art of visual language ... Please watch YouTube.com or www.vimeo.com on films focusing on Jains and see for yourself why it is was so important for a non-Jain to tell the world the story of "A Cosmic Way of Life ..."
Welcome filmmakers to critique and tell us what they think of this 10 min film ? Would they like to see a one hour TV program ? And a 4-part TV series being edited ?
Lord Mahavira ? King Adhinathan's Golden City & the Dying Dancer ? Legend of Bahubali ? Why Magnificent Jain Temples are found on top of hills and distant remote places ? Interested in temple architecture ? Sculptures ? Paintings ?
