Another year of pain looms for Greece as the country's Parliament approves an austerity budget which will force more biting cuts upon an already struggling population. It's been a pre-condition from international lenders who've been delaying another bailout cash injection for months now. Thousands of Greeks gathered outside Parliament to voice their opposition to next year's budget. It's approval follows another even more extensive austerity package, that sparked violent protests last week. Israel rockets from Gaza leaders' responses Last weekend saw the most intense cycle of violence along the Israeli-Gaza border in nearly 4 years with Palestinian militants firing more than 70 rockets into the Jewish state. Israeli leaders have said they will not tolerate the increasing stream of attacks emanating from the Gaza Strip with Benjamin Netanyahu threatening to escalate the country's response if the rocket fire did not stop while Defense Minister Ehud Barak commented "If we are forced to go back into Gaza in order to hit Hamas and restore calm, we will not hesitate to do so." The mayor of Beersheba, a southern Israeli city targeted by Gaza based militants called on the government to put an end to the "war of attrition" between Israel and Palestinian terrorist groups while Israeli Ambassador the UN Ron Prosor slammed the UN's failure to comment on rocket attacks from Gaza. The violence has caused normal daily life in Israel to grind to a halt with many businesses being forced to close and children being unable to attend school. Perhaps sensitive to the lack of sympathy to Israelis' current struggles in the international news media US ambassador Daniel Shapiro sent best wishes directly to Israelis on Facebook and reaffirmed the United States' support for Israel's right to defend itself.

Nearly two million Afghan refugees living in Pakistan are waiting to find out whether they'll have to leave by the end of the year when their residency cards expire. Islamabad says it won't forcefully repatriate people once the deadline is up, but isn't offering any assurances they can stay either. For some Afghan refugees who have established lives in neighbouring Pakistan, the threat of return to Afghanistan, a nation many have not lived in for nearly three decades, is a fearful prospect as they would have to restart their lives in their homeland. www.euronews.com ECOWAS troops with UN backing may soon be on their way into northern Mali following agreement at the UN. West Africa's regional bloc, meeting in Nigeria, agreed on Sunday to send 3300 troops, mostly from Nigeria, Burkina Fasso and Niger, and want to have battle plans ready for UN approval by the end of November. The force may be joined by other African nations, and two or three non-African states. "We are waiting for the green light from the UN Security Council which we expect hopefully by the end of this month, or the beginning of December, and the intervention forces will be in place a few days after that," said ECOWAS chairman and Ivory Coast President Alassane Outtara. The Malian government has appealed for help after losing the northern half of its territory to a now-fractured alliance of Tuareg rebels and Islamic militants. The former, along with Islamic group Ansar Dine are now in talks after infighting with al-Qaeda-affiliated groups. The Tuaregs rose after what they claim is years of neglect from Bamako, while Ansar Dine wants Sharia law for Mali's muslim north, but neither seem to want al-Qaeda taking over their struggle. Join our group: www.facebook.com A moving documentary about life in Palestine. According to Holy Scripture the coming world leader (the anti-Christ) will rise to power through promises of saving the world from economic, military, and political issues that many consider unsolvable. The seven year peace accord will bring a temporarily resolution to the Middle East crisis. As part of this peace accord, a mutually compromising solution between the Jews and the Arabs regarding Jerusalem and its holy sites will also be reached. The Temple Mount located on Mount Moriah, in Jerusalem, is sacred to Jews (their temple stood there before being destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD), and the Mount is also sacred to Muslims, their Holy shrine the Dome of the Rock, is located on the Temple Mount today. Bible Scripture states that through the Antichrist's peace accord the Jews will be enabled to rebuild their Holy Temple for the first time since 70 AD. Within this Temple the Jews will revive their ancient rituals of animal sacrifice to God. (see Daniel 8:23-25; 9:27; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 Its important to understand - it is the ENEMIES of the Jews/mankind who are killing innocent people. This is not a "Jewish" conspiracy - look deeper and understand, prophecy is being fulfilled & the only enemy is satan.

President Barack Obama, fresh from easing US sanctions on Myanmar, said at the G8 summit Saturday that world powers would do all they could to promote the country's political reforms. Obama lifted some investment restrictions on the nominally civilian-ruled nation this week, hoping to reward President Thein Sein for taking steps toward political change, and to encourage the government to go further. He said at the G8 summit at his Camp David retreat that fellow leaders "are hopeful" about developments in impoverished Myanmar, formerly known as Burma. "Our hope is that this process will continue and we're going to do everything we can to encourage that process."
