MTA New York City Subway IRT Lexington Avenue Line R1 = RELEASE 1 All trains to/from Grand Central Terminal and the Bronx (4) | To Woodlawn (5) | To Eastchester (6) | To Pelham Bay Park Notes: -I will start covering 1 MTA Fastrack General Order thru out the system when available and if the G/O interests me. This is my first and only clip for Fastrack G/O along the East Side IRT (Unless service ends at another station, then GCT). -Fastrack is a new way General Orders work. Instead of having trains run, while MOW workers are in the tunnel, service on part of a Line is suspended. That way workers can work non-stop (with breaks), without being delayed by a train coming in. Service would be suspended at late nights for a few days during the week after 10PM and ending at 5AM the next day. -In this G/O Downtown / Brooklyn Bounds (4) (5) (6) are suspended from Grand Central to Atlantic Ave, Brooklyn (Including Brooklyn Bridge and Bowling Green). (3) service is extended to New Lots Avenue in place for the (4). For those traveling between GCT and Atlantic Avenue, may use the Local MaBSTOA Bus routes or the (1)(2)(3)(7)(S)(N)(R)(Q)(A)(C)(E) or another alternatives. Soon, other lines will be apart of this Fastrack Program, including the IRT 7th Avenue Line, IND 6th & 8th Avenue Lines and the BMT Broadway Line and further! NOTES! Just because Fastrack is in place, does NOT mean that construction work will no longer be held during Midday and Weekend. Those ...

Due to tunnel and station work between 34th Street, Manhattan to Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn (INCLUDING South Ferry), The last stop for the (1) and (2) trains (out of the Bronx) is 34th Street (New York Penn Station). (3) service was suspended. (5) replaced the (2) from 241st Street to Flatbush Avenue via LEX AVE (4) replaced the (3) to New Lots Avenue. (148th Street Service, customers would use the (2) and connect with the Shuttle Bus or M7 / M102 at 135th Street / Lenox Avenue) (2) replaced the (5) to Dyre Avenue (2) / (5) swap is possibly due to union related issues, since normally the (5) would run as a shuttle late, while the (2) heads to Brooklyn as usual. So instead the (5) crew would run the (2) (for a short ride) and the (2) crew would take over the (5). For closed station access along the (1) (2) (3), customers would use an alternative route or the Bus. This clip is known as PART RELEASE 2B.
