Zodiac Killer
The Zodiac Killer was a serial killer who operated in Northern California in the late 1960s. The Zodiac killer's identity remains unknown. The Zodiac killer coined the name "Zodiac" in a series of taunting letters sent to the local Bay Area press. These letters included four cryptograms (or ciphers), three of which have yet to be solved. The Zodiac murdered victims in Benicia, Vallejo, Lake Berryessa, and San Francisco between December 1968 and October 1969. Four men and three women, between the ages of 16 and 29, were targeted. Numerous suspects have been named by law enforcement and amateur investigators, but no conclusive evidence has surfaced. He was well known for his cleverly dark facade, used to instill terror in his victims. This was the inspiration for many future films based on the events, as well as the many less reputable sequels.

Here is some more footage that I shot of many of the hotel/casinos in Las Vegas, both downtown and on the Strip, in early January of 1990, when I was there for the Winter CES. You'll see the Stardust before they changed their main marquee to the last one they had; then, the rest of the video is basically riding around in downtown Las Vegas (before the Fremont Street Experience was in existence), then driving back on the Strip. You won't believe how many Strip hotels are now GONE!! Also, you'll hear commentary throughout as I was traveling with two friends, and you'll hear all of us bantering back and forth! This was all shot on standard VHS, which looks remarkably good for 22-year-old footage!!!

Here is some more footage that I shot of many of the hotel/casinos in Las Vegas, both downtown and on the Strip, in early January of 1990, when I was there for the Winter CES. You'll see the newly remodeled Golden Nugget downtown, plus LOTS of footage of Caesar's Palace (including going on the moving sidewalk that took you into the hotel - at double-speed - 4 years later, that moving sidedwalk brought you into the entrance of the Forum Shops!) There is also footage of the outside of the Riviera, which had just remodeled its marquee and wasn't even finished remodeling the rest of the facade! You'll hear commentary throughout as I was traveling with two friends, and you'll hear all of us bantering back and forth! This segment ends with some footage of the Westward Ho, which closed in 2005. This was all shot on standard VHS, which looks remarkably good for 22-year-old footage!!!

Downtown no Gaki no Tsukai ya Arahende!, is a Japanese variety show hosted by the popular Japanese owarai duo, Downtown, with comedian Hōsei Yamasaki and owarai duo Cocorico co-hosting. The program has been broadcast on Nippon TV since its pilot episode on October 3, 1989 and continues to this day, having celebrated its 1000th episode on April 18, 2010.
Perhaps the best known Gaki no Tsukai episodes are those dealing with batsu games, or punishment games, in which one or more of the cast members are subjected to after losing bets, major competition, or physical challenges.
The "No Laughing" Batsu Game itself (broadcast annually during the New Year's Holiday) was first introduced in 2003. The premise of each "No Laughing"-punishment game is that the losing members of the cast have to endure many compromising, absurd, generally ridiculous situations for a long period of time (up to 24-hours, thus far) but must refrain from laughing at any of them. Whenever someone does laugh the announcer of the game will declare that person as having just become "out" (アウト or a-u-to in Katakana); immediately afterwards, the appropriate number of "hang-men" will come out to mete the rule breaker's punishment. (To date, this has been executed via single strikes on the buttocks {or somewhere in that area} with a weapon — one which does not change mid-game.)
To keep the participants on their toes, there have been occasions where other conditions besides laughing had been set that could make them out, if fulfilled; also, the "victors" of the preliminary trial (if there are any) can make appearances during games to wreak further mischief and potentially cause even more discomfort to the losers.

I had a chance to go visit one of the greatest cities this summer. Right when I got of the plane and arrived downtown New York, I took my camera and strolled out through the busy streets of New York City. I wanted to capture the great culture and street aesthetic of New York and I think it turned out really well. The video includes recordings from both Manhattan and Brooklyn, where I spend hours capturing the culture and everyday life of native New Yorkers.

Albert-László Barabási, author of LINKED, wants you to think about NETWORKS:
“Networks are everywhere. The brain is a network of nerve cells connected by axons, and cells themselves are networks of molecules connected by biochemical reactions. Societies, too, are networks of people linked by friendships, familial relationships and professional ties. On a larger scale, food webs and ecosystems can be represented as networks of species. And networks pervade technology: the Internet, power grids and transportation systems are but a few examples. I had a chance to go visit one of the greatest cities this summer. Right when I got of the plane and arrived downtown New York, I took my camera and strolled out through the busy streets of New York City. I wanted to capture the great culture and street aesthetic of New York and I think it turned out really well. The video includes recordings from both Manhattan and Brooklyn, where I spend hours capturing the culture and everyday life of native New Yorkers.

“Networks are everywhere. The brain is a network of nerve cells connected by axons, and cells themselves are networks of molecules connected by biochemical reactions. Societies, too, are networks of people linked by friendships, familial relationships and professional ties. On a larger scale, food webs and ecosystems can be represented as networks of species. And networks pervade technology: the Internet, power grids and transportation systems are but a few examples. Downtown no Gaki no Tsukai ya Arahende!, is a Japanese variety show hosted by the popular Japanese owarai duo, Downtown, with comedian Hōsei Yamasaki and owarai duo Cocorico co-hosting. The program has been broadcast on Nippon TV since its pilot episode on October 3, 1989 and continues to this day, having celebrated its 1000th episode on April 18, 2010.
Perhaps the best known Gaki no Tsukai episodes are those dealing with batsu games, or punishment games, in which one or more of the cast members are subjected to after losing bets, major competition, or physical challenges.
The "No Laughing" Batsu Game itself (broadcast annually during the New Year's Holiday) was first introduced in 2003. The premise of each "No Laughing"-punishment game is that the losing members of the cast have to endure many compromising, absurd, generally ridiculous situations for a long period of time (up to 24-hours, thus far) but must refrain from laughing at any of them. Whenever someone does laugh the announcer of the game will declare that person as having just become "out" (アウト or a-u-to in Katakana); immediately afterwards, the appropriate number of "hang-men" will come out to mete the rule breaker's punishment. (To date, this has been executed via single strikes on the buttocks {or somewhere in that area} with a weapon — one which does not change mid-game.)
To keep the participants on their toes, there have been occasions where other conditions besides laughing had been set that could make them out, if fulfilled; also, the "victors" of the preliminary trial (if there are any) can make appearances during games to wreak further mischief and potentially cause even more discomfort to the losers.

I had a chance to go visit one of the greatest cities this summer. Right when I got of the plane and arrived downtown New York, I took my camera and strolled out through the busy streets of New York City. I wanted to capture the great culture and street aesthetic of New York and I think it turned out really well. The video includes recordings from both Manhattan and Brooklyn, where I spend hours capturing the culture and everyday life of native New Yorkers.

Anthony Charles Edwards[1] (born July 19, 1962) is an American actor and director.[2][3] He has appeared in various movies and television shows, including Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Top Gun, Zodiac, Revenge of the Nerds, Northern Exposure and ER.

Early life[link]
Edwards was born in Santa Barbara, California, the son of Erika Planck (née Weber), an artist/landscape painter, and Peter Edwards, an architect.[4] He has two older sisters, Heidi and Ann-Marie, and two older brothers, Peter and Jeffrey. Edwards was encouraged by his parents to attend college before pursuing his interest in acting. He received a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in England and studied theatre at University of Southern California but by the age of nineteen was being offered enough acting work to enable him to leave college.

Edwards' early work includes a co-starring role in the TV series It Takes Two with Richard Crenna and Patty Duke Astin as his parents and Helen Hunt as his sister. His first starring role was in the 1984 comedy Revenge of the Nerds as Gilbert Lowe, though he had a tiny part in the 1982 film Fast Times at Ridgemont High, credited as "stoner Bud". It was his role as LTJG Nick "Goose" Bradshaw alongside Tom Cruise in the 1986 film Top Gun that brought his first widespread public acknowledgement. His character, who died in an aviation accident, was among the most prominent and popular in the film. He also appeared as a terminally ill patient in Hawks (1988) alongside Timothy Dalton, another role which brought him worldwide fame. He also starred in the 1990 movie Downtown with Penelope Ann Miller and Forest Whitaker. In 1992 and 1993 he played Mike Monroe in ten episodes of Northern Exposure.[5]
His best known role to date is as Dr. Mark Greene on the long-running TV series ER, where he resided from its premiere in 1994 to the end of the 8th season in 2002. The series also afforded Edwards his first opportunity to direct. Edwards' desire to pursue directing led to his request to be written out of the series, leading to his character's death from brain cancer. He reportedly earned $35,000,000 for three seasons on ER, which made him one of the highest-paid television actors to date.[citation needed] Anthony Edwards and his former co-star George Clooney were the ones who suggested doing an episode of ER live.[6] The fourth season premiere, "Ambush" was performed live twice with an East Coast and West Coast version.
He never won a Primetime Emmy, thought he was nominated four times.[2] He won a Golden Globe Award For Best Performance by an Actor-In a TV Series after being nominated four times, and he has two Screen Actor's Guild Awards.[2]
In 2007, Edwards appeared as SFPD inspector Bill Armstrong in David Fincher's Zodiac, about the Zodiac Killer, the notorious serial killer who terrorized San Francisco in the 1960s and 1970s.
In 2008, Edwards returned to ER to reprise his role as Dr. Greene (in flashback scenes, where he treats the dying son of character Catherine Banfield) for one episode during its 15th and final season.[7]
In 2010, Edwards' appeared in the movie Motherhood, which set a record for the biggest bomb in British cinema history garnering just £88 on 11 tickets on opening weekend.[8] In the United States Motherhood did not fare much better earning just $93,388 in three weeks of release.[9]
Personal life[link]
Edwards has been married to Jeanine Lobell since 1994 and they have one son, Bailey, and three daughters, Esme, Wallis and Poppy. He left ER so he could spend more time with his family. He currently resides in New York City. Lobell, who worked as a makeup artist, is the founder of the Stila cosmetics line. She founded the company in 1994 and sold it to Estee Lauder in 1999.[citation needed]
He also serves as chairman for Shoe4Africa, a non-profit organization that donates shoes to Kenyan athletes and aims to build the largest public children's hospital in Africa. Edwards ran in the ING New York City Marathon on November 1, 2009 to raise funds for Shoe4Africa.[10]
Since his teenage years, Edwards has been a close friend of picture book illustrator Steven Kellogg. In 2011, Edwards' gift of $350,000 made it possible for Kellogg's complete life's work of more than 2700 illustrations to be donated to the Mazza Museum of International Art from Picture Books.[11]
