Ronald Bell (musician)

Ronald Bell, also known by his Arabic name Khalis Bayyan, (born Ronald Nathan Bell; November 1, 1951, Youngstown, Ohio, United States) is an American saxophonist, composer, songwriter, arranger, producer and singer, who was a founding member of the band, Kool & the Gang. He is the brother of co-founder Robert "Kool" Bell (born in 1950) and Kay Gees member Kevin Bell.

Bell has been a resident of West Orange, New Jersey.

Ronald Victor Bell (Chelsea 7 January 1931 – Farnham 26 October 1989) was an English cricketer.

Ronnie Bell represented Middlesex and Sussex as a left-handed batsman and a slow left-arm orthodox bowler in 189 first-class matches between 1952 and 1964. He took 392 wickets at an average of 28.34, with a personal best of 8/54. He took five wickets in an innings on nineteen occasions and ten wickets in a match once. He died from cancer aged 58.

Ronald Bell (politician)

Sir Ronald McMillan Bell QC MP (14 April 1914 – 27 February 1982) was a barrister and Conservative Member of Parliament in the United Kingdom, representing South Buckinghamshire from 1950 to 1974 and Beaconsfield from 1974 to 1982. He also briefly represented the Newport constituency from a by-election in May 1945 until the general election two months later.

He was appointed a Queen's Counsel in 1966 and was knighted in 1980.

Family and education

Born in Cardiff, the younger son of John Bell, the young Bell was educated at Cardiff High School and Magdalen College, Oxford, graduating BA in 1936 and MA in 1941. In 1935, he was first Secretary and later Treasurer of the Oxford Union Society, and was also President of the Oxford University Conservative Association. In 1954 he married Elizabeth Audrey, eldest daughter of Kenneth Gossell MC, of Burwash, Sussex, and by her had two sons, Andrew and Robert, and two daughters, Fiona and Lucinda. Lady Bell died on 13 May 2014, aged 86.
