What can I do, what can I say
Running down
this suspicious highway
I can't forget
how love let me down
And when we meet
it still gets in my way.
But we're already one
Already one
Now only time can come between us
'Cause we're already one
Our little son won't let us forget.
Your laughing eyes,
your crazy smile
Every time I look in his face
I can't believe
how love lasts a while
And looks like
"forever" in the first place.
But we're already one
Already one
Now only time can come between us
'Cause we're already one
Our little son won't let us forget.
In my new life I'm travelin' light
Eyes wide open for the next move
I can't go wrong 'til I get right
But I'm not
fallin' back in the same groove.
But we're already one
Already one
Now only time can come between us
'Cause we're already one
It's you to me
Your gentle face
Overdue, worth the wait
And out of my reach
But I'm reaching out for you
Me to the night
I say goodbye
The time is up
I fight the time
A needed award
I can't afford
A finished song
One more cord
And it's already in my mind
I'm in over my head inside
And it's already in my mind
Inside
Inside
Everyone's back
Hearts at war
With all the plans I had before
And I'm losing my grip
But, I'd lose it all for you
So I go driving all around
And I'm denying all the sounds that hit my ear
Drum the beat of a heart I can't defeat
And so it's already in my mind
I'm in over my head inside
And it's already in my mind
Inside
Inside
Already in
Birdie birdie in the sky
Do you ever wonder why
Tears are falling from my eye
I know to you it's not explained
Deep inside my heart's aflame
Jesus Christ He takes away my pain
GOD'S ALREADY WON THE WAR
NOW I CAN SPREAD MY WINGS AND SOAR
THE WAVES ARE CRASHING ON THE SHORE
BUT GOD'S ALREADY WON THE WAR
Flowers blowing in the wind
Say the clouds are moving in
Will I stand or will I fall
But take my hand and lead me on
Let your Spirit fill my soul
Take my heart and make me whole
GOD'S ALREADY WON THE WAR
NOW I CAN SPREAD MY WINGS AND SOAR
THE WAVES ARE CRASHING ON THE SHORE
BUT GOD'S ALREADY WON THE WAR
Why do I feel the way that I feel
If God's already won the war?
If I'll trust in God alone
He can give me so much more
GOD'S ALREADY WON THE WAR
NOW I CAN SPREAD MY WINGS AND SOAR
THE WAVES ARE CRASHING ON THE SHORE
BUT GOD'S ALREADY WON THE WAR
as the summer extends itself to the winter days
the colors begin to fade away
and the sun goes down too soon
an old man walks down the road and he stops to look
at his reflection from the window of a car
by light of moon
he says "i'm just burnin' time, let myself unwind
till my life comes undone."
if you're looking for losses to win
you've already won
pretty, perfect houses all lined up and stripped away
of any words that they had to say
of anything that is true
she put a sign out on her lawn that said that she's speakin' up
but that god damn schedule just won't let up
and bills, they don't bend -- or even move
she says "i'm just burnin' time, let myself unwind
till my heart comes undone."
if you're looking for losses to win
you've already won
she says "i'm just burnin' time, let myself unwind
till my heart comes undone."
if you're looking for losses to win
I've been in the middle of a brilliant plan
So lay down your weapons and salvage what you can
Make sure that everyone can understand
We've already won
We've already won
You've gotta believe it
We've already won
Here's to the courage of a perfect man
Here's to the bride that one day holds his hand
Here's to the bullet spit from the gun
Here's to the race we all have to run
Maybe it's too hard to live like this, too hard
But whatever you do don't lay down and quit
We've already won
We've already won
Lay down your good intentions
