This beautiful and colourful Bodo dance is known as Thaokhri Lunai. In English, it is to understand as "Thread Spinning" Bodo dance. Dances were performed in the open session of 61st Foundation Day of Bodo Sahitya Sabha observed at Empur village of Dimoria, Kamrup (Metro) district of Assam, organized by Dimoria Anchalik Bodo Sahitya Sabha on 16th November, 2013. The dance troupe is Santipur Bodo Dance Group, which hails from nearby Santipur village, Dimoria area of Kamrup (Metro) district, Assam. The dance was choreographed by Mr Dipak Kachari and Mr Datta Boro. This team has already achieved commendable popularity performing in different places in India, under the banner of Srimanta Sankardev Kala Kshetra, Guwahati. The spectators were mesmerized for such performance. This video is a part of the 61st Foundation Day of Bodo Sahitya Sabha observed at Empur village, organized by Dimoria Anchalik Bodo Sahitya Sabha and it was captured on 16th November, 2013.
